Chapter 77

It was already 11:00 pm by the time Daniel and the warriors showed up at the animal rescue center.

It was either them or the X4 thugs at the lab. Alex and everyone else believed that it was only time before the thugs tried to break the wolf out again. It was only better that they do it before them.

All their mission entailed was to break the wolf out and lead the trail back to the lab in light town.

The guys had agreed on them dividing themselves for the mission to go on smoothly. The IT hacker, who was also their driver was to remain in the car while the other four went inside.

His work was to hack into the security system to tamper with the cameras so that nothing that was going on today would be left in the system.

The driver packed the car somewhere away close to the center; just close enough for him to be able to access their system. He also turned to confirm whether the guys were done dressing.

They had undressed at Bandi club and shifted into wolves and used some other door to get into the car. As things stood at the moment, they were still at the club.

They did that so as to have an alibi in case things overturned or the police started to snoop around. Everyone understood the gravity of what they were about to do since they understood how their government was against people abusing animals.

"How is the security looking?" asked Cross as he bent over the seat to check on the hacker

"Thanks to the X4 thugs, the security looks tight. Two at the entry, three in the corridors, and two at the entrance of a certain room which I believe to be the room with our guy." answered the hacker as he maneuvered the keys around the laptop.

"Tough luck, I guess," said Daniel as he came up behind Cross

Cross turned to him to ask what he meant by that "The Alpha made an order that no one shouldn't be hurt, so, it's tough luck for us"

"Why are you smiling beta? things aren't looking good for us because those guys inside there don't look like ordinary security guys" asked the hacker

"Haha..." Everyone turned to look at the beta with inquisitive gazes "It's just going to be fun having look at the most ruthless warriors taking hits and not be able to give ten folds back as they were trained"

Daniel's statement made them smile although they were not happy with having to get hit without striking back. Even without the Alpha's warning, they knew not to hurt the innocent since those guards were only following orders, and as it stood, they were doing a good deed by foregoing their sleep to protect the animals

"Wouldn't it be good if we went in as wolves?" asked one of the wolves

"That would make sense, but we all know how we turn when we are wolves. It's the animal instinct working and we could easily hurt the innocent guards" answered Daniel

"Then forget I said anything," the same guard said politely

He was just done with training and this mission was his first. Daniel turned to him and smiled a little, then ruffled his head.

"What do you all say? asked Cross as he lifted a very tiny bow with arrows that looked like needles. He also pulled out a small tin containing sleeping pills.

The guards at the door were smoking as they conversed among themselves. They doubted that anyone would show up after knowing that some of the elite guards were sent to protect the center from any intrusion.

"I can't believe that were sent to protect this place with the rank that we hold in the team," said one on the left

"My thoughts exact....." Before his colleague could complete his statement, he dropped to the ground

The other joined him immediately, and Daniel held him before he could hit his face on the floor.

They then made them sit down. One could think that they had dosed off from the position they were in.

Back in the car, the hacker tried his best to play around with the camera without switching them off because turning them off would trigger the alarms.

He gave direction to the warriors to maneuver the corridors of the center swiftly without causing much commotion.
