Just because Lan Jiao did not say anything did not mean that Mi Lai would conceal the truth.

He had been very annoyed by Lan Jiao's nonchalance towards the stolen Nature Food.

Why did Lan Jiao have no reaction towards such valuable things? It looked as if the precious food meant nothing to her!

But what Mi Lai did not know was that Lan Jiao did not care much about these things.

The food made by her on Planet Trash was very ordinary and she had used the most basic ingredients, since no good materials were available. Moreover, they did not have many spices, so the eating standards right now were nothing compared to those she had before.

Although for locals on Planet Trash, she was living a great life. But this was not even the tip of the iceberg when compared to Lan Jiao's previous lifestyle.

More importantly, her ultimate goal was to leave Planet Trash.

So even if she had numerous ingredients right now, she would not be able to take all of them away with her.

"Captain Kite, our entire stash of Nature Food was stolen!" Mi Lai shouted angrily.

Kite was really surprised to hear the answer.

This was more than just Lan Jiao's loss. It was related to the energy that he was supposed to get from the food made by Nature Food.

Kite's face sank, and his eyes looked at everyone around.

He ordered in a heavy voice. "Investigate this matter right now! I am going to find out who is so bold as to carry out such mischief in my region."

In the past, he could have let the theft go if such a thing happened. But right now, he was not just going to find out the thief, but also going to punish the person severely.

He was going to make sure that nobody dared to steal the food from his mouth again!

Although Lan Jiao did not want to create a fuss about this matter, she could not stop Captain Kite from taking action. She had not expected that Mi Lai would inform him of the matter.

She had thought that Mi Lai would not care about this incident, just like she didn't.

But Lan Jiao didn't realise that in such an environment, Nature Food was rare and precious. This place was way different from her world, where food filled up the streets and supermarkets.

In the place where she lived earlier, she could get small vegetables to grow out of pots without even giving much attention to the planting process.

Hence, it was not an accident that the price of Nature Food was so high here. She simply could not imagine how much it cost to grow Nature Food here.

For Mi Lai, the Nature Food that Lan Jiao had placed in the room was the only thing that she had. Of course, he was angry about her possessions being stolen.

Captain Kite's order was passed down immediately. It would not take much time before the culprits were caught.

Meanwhile, Kite ordered another batch of Nature Food so as to ensure that he would not have to face a gap in his meals made out of Nature Food.

But the food ingredients would not arrive until the next day. Hence, Kite was offered nothing except insects for lunch today.

Actually, Kite could survive easily on a bottle of middle-level nutritive solution for one day. But after becoming used to fresh dishes made out of Nature Food, he simply could not take in any more nutritive fluids.

Kite started to hesitate as he suddenly thought of this matter.

After two months when he left Planet Trash, he would not be able to eat the food made by Miss Lan.

He suddenly thought of an idea. "Miss Lan, would you like to leave this planet and further your career in Alliance Stars?"

Lan Jiao was shocked. "What??"

This was the opportunity that she was waiting for! Captain Kite unexpectedly provided a solution for the biggest problem that had been bothering her all this time.

Finally, Lan Jiao got to know of the way to leave Planet Trash through Captain Kite.

There was a chance available to enter the Second Military School of Alliance every year on each Planet Trash.

The requirements were very simple - the candidate had to be younger than 18 years, and needed to possess a C level in both physical condition and mental condition. The person also needed to have fundamental learning abilities.

It was easier to get this position which was being offered to 30 districts on Planet Trash 101 now, compared to before.

Because the position for Planet Trash 101 had not been available in nearly 10 years now.

Ten years ago, when the position was opened for the last time, a girl was selected by the Second Military School of Alliance as a representative of Planet Trash 101. One year later when she returned, she broke down and became mental.

It was said that she was bullied in the school because she was a student representative of Planet Trash. She was treated with disdain and was ostracised. After months of being under severe mental pressure, she could not stand it any more. So, she made a huge mistake after suffering from insomnia. As a result, she was expelled and deported back.

After she returned home, she was killed by her own family.

People who could not support themselves on Planet Trash had only one option - death.

That incident made the locals reluctant to leave Planet Trash.

Apart from being physically weak and unable to reach C level, the locals had to spend a lot of time grasping the fundamental knowledge. Despite making huge efforts, they might face terrible consequences which didn't make the whole process worthwhile for them. If the whole thing did not lead to any good result, no one had the desire to continue.

Also, the locals were already used to life on Planet Trash, so they did not want to leave their residence. That was why the position had not been filled for a long time.

According to Captain Kite, the position was open for locals only, which was a democratic move conducted by Alliance. But Lan Jiao was so tanned right now, so she looked like a local after all. Hence, she had high chances of getting the position as a local girl.

Captain Kite could do something to help the matter pass through as well.

After hearing the news, Lan Jiao had complicated feelings arise inside.

She was tanned, of course, but she felt kind of sad hearing the comparison made between her and locals so bluntly.

Lan Jiao really wanted to say yes to the suggestion, but she suddenly became hesitant.

If she left Planet Trash by herself, then Mi Lai…

Then Mi Lai might not be able to survive here.

During the past three months, she had developed a strong bond with him. She could not toss him away, even if he was not her pet in the real sense.

She was not an irresponsible master.

"You can think about it." Kite said and left without forcing her to give an answer immediately.

It was Lan Jiao's choice to decide her future. If she chose to stay, Kite could do nothing but watch a talent get swallowed by the trash.

Coming back to her room, Lan Jiao tried to calm herself down but became more and more confused.

She had wanted to leave this place so desperately but now she was hesitating when the chance was finally offered to her.

Standing at Lan Jiao's doorstep, Mi Lai could tell Lan Jiao's concern seeing the frown on her face.
