Chapter 1Self-Destructive Miss

District Nine of Planet Trash 101, Year 2333 in Interstellar Calendar.

The unending scorching sunshine was beating down mercilessly on Mountain Trash.

The air was filled with an unpleasant rotting smell, making everyone feel nauseated.

Furthermore, the universe radiation was heavily present in this place, making the environment unsuitable for human beings to live in. Unfortunately, there were many emaciated people with sickly, black skin milling around here.

As per their routine, these people hastened towards the spaceships which were dumping the trash, piercing through the atmospheric layer to land on the planet's surface. The skinny living beings fell over each other to dig out the food, sifting through the garbage on the Mountain Trash to look for things which could fill up their stomachs.

This 'food' included rotten fruit skins, leaves, and bones which had maggots in them. Some lucky ones might be able to find some expired nutritive solutions as well.

It would count as a fortune if someone found mouldy cookies or bread in the trash pile!

It would be more delightful than even winning the lottery of the Alliance!

Most of these people had slightly-distorted bodies and blackened skin due to long-term exposure to the pollution and omnipresent radiation. But there were still a few who had relatively white skin.

These were the criminals who had been exiled and transported to this planet one month ago. They had committed unforgivable crimes and were sent here to await their deaths.

Planet Trash 101 had such a terrible environment that the outsiders, however ferocious they might be, would not have an easy time surviving here.

The air, which they breathed in on this planet, was nothing less than slow poison.

Apart from the locals, the outsiders who were exiled here, mostly ended up becoming the food for the rot-eating rats existing on the Mountain Trash.

The remaining ones, who managed to survive, tended to have a painful existence. Steadily worsening conditions destroyed the rest of their lives.

Dressed in a faded outfit, Lan Jiao's head was lowered and she sported an impassive expression. She was standing on the creepy pile of trash and was fully focussed on the task of seeking possible food among the trash, just like everyone else.

She had been on this planet for exactly one month now. Unlike the other exiles, she came here simply because of her bad luck.

She was not the real Lan Jiao, nor was she a person of this world!

One month ago, she had been the President's daughter of a famous enterprise at Land Hua on Earth. She preferred staying indoors and spending her days in peace. When she finally decided to go out for a trip, she met with a car accident. When she woke up again, she found herself on this planet.

For some strange reason, the original host of this body was also a 17-year-old girl called Lan Jiao, exactly the same pronunciations and characters.

And the original host of this body was also a girl from a rich family, yet this girl had led a much worse life compared to herself.

The parents of the original host were ferocious generals in the Alliance Mech Warband, who died in the battlefield. As the daughter of martyrs, she had been treated extremely well.

What was more, the original host had an elder brother, who was the youngest genius Mech Designer in the Alliance.

The original host was equipped with almost no knowledge. Nor did she have the intention of learning anything. She was like a piece of laid-back trash. Yet her good brother supported her unconditionally. With their parents' legacy and pension, she was capable of spending the rest of her life without any worries.

Unfortunately, the original host was not only stupid, but also self-destructive.

She disliked the poor and loved the rich. She was nosy and petty, looking down upon the war orphan of Mr. Lan's subordinate, who had been adopted by Mr. Lan since her childhood. That girl was her brother's girlfriend, and her brother adored her deeply.

The original host had always wanted to form a romantic relationship between her brother and another girl, who was the daughter of her deceased father's leader. She thought that only a noble lady like that could be a match and the right fit for her genius brother.

When she heard that her brother intended to marry that orphan, she had rushed to confront her brother's fiancée angrily, only to find her lying in a pool of blood, dead!

As for who really killed her brother's fiancée…

No one knew.

No one even bothered to investigate because everyone thought that she was the murderer!

Even her own brother firmly believed so. Her actions in the past had made her look like the biggest suspect.

The original host's brother was put in a dilemma. But he decided to spare his sister's life. As per the Alliance's law, shifting her to Planet Trash was already the biggest mercy that could be given to her, since she had killed his beloved.

The original girl had been a spoiled girl, who could not adjust to the environment on Planet Trash.

So, when the original host arrived, she got sick right after breathing in the air. She had no intention of living-on any longer, and the 'sim-card' inside her turned into this new Lan Jiao instead.

Standing on Mountain Trash and looking over the endless waste, Lan Jiao sighed helplessly.

The original host had been born in such a great family but she sent herself to death. She even made the current Lan Jiao land in this barren place to undergo such misery.

Lan Jiao had been struggling to beat starvation during the past one month.

She was a foodie and found it a tormenting experience for both her soul and body when she had to sift through the filth in search of nourishment.

She had lost a great deal of weight in just one month, and her skin was badly tanned as well.

Luckily, the original host had a slightly chubby body. Even after losing so much weight, she did not look like those horribly skinny locals on this planet.

But she had no idea when this kind of living would come to an end…

"Lan Jiao, what are you staring at? Hurry up, or the rot-eating rats will be here soon, sniffing the newly arrived trash!"

Lan Jiao followed the voice and looked up. She saw a blonde boy in filthy clothes giving her a reminder in a loud voice. Standing not too far from her, he was in his teens, and his skin was smooth and white.

The boy might look filthy but he had an obvious air of nobility about him.

He must have been a spoiled prince in the past, living an unimaginably luxurious life. Lan Jiao had no idea why he ended up being in this place.

"Got it." Lan Jiao answered briefly and continued to dig through the trash.

There were, actually, many edible things in Mountain Trash. Yet, be it Lan Jiao or Mi Lai, they could not stand swallowing the rotten, sticky and stinky food. For them, the edible options were far lesser.

Lan Jiao sifted through a pile of plastic with an iron stick but failed to find anything.

But Mi Lai managed to get his hands on half a bottle of low-level nutritive solution.

With this half bottle of nutritive solution, he would manage to survive the whole day.

"Lan Jiao, come to my spot. You might get lucky and find some nutrient fluid as well." Mi Lai waved at Lan Jiao, holding the nutrient fluid happily.

But Lan Jiao screamed loudly. "Watch out!"

A rot-eating rat, which was the size of a cat, jumped out of the trash. With its beady, red eyes and sharp teeth, the well rounded rat went for Mi Lai's fragile neck in an agile leap.
