As expected, they were disqualified because Shouko loudly called out to Kyoya instead of finding him in silence. Yet, for the beautiful small interlude that happened because of them earlier, the event committee gave them a token of appreciation.
"You two have really brightened up the mood more. Ah, I was reminded of when I confessed to my wife more than three decades ago," The representative who was in his mid-sixties said good-naturedly as he reminisced his past, "I wish you two an abundance of happiness."
"Thank you," Kyoya respectfully nodded his head toward the old man. Shouko smiled as she did the same as her husband.
After leaving the podium, Shouko quietly looked at the gifts in her hands. They received a couple of plush toys, a pair of bunnies. One bunny had a red necktie around its neck while the second bunny got a pink ribbon over its head.
"They are cute," Shouko concluded. She quickly brought them to her arms.
