The husband and wife had a pleasant time together ever since breakfast. Since it was still raining outside, there was not much they could do besides staying warm and cozy inside the mansion.
Before tea time, Shouko suggested making taro and sweet potato balls to be enjoyed with hot ginger syrup soup, sweetened with rock sugars. The chewy balls, paired with soaked red beans and grass jelly, a bowl of them would definitely be a good treat during a cold day. Kyoya swiftly agreed with her suggestion.
Thus, the husband and wife rolled their sleeves up and wore their aprons, begin to work in the kitchen. By the time they finished making them, the rain that had stopped during noon began pouring down from the sky again.
"Yum! These are so good~"
Shouko couldn't help but took a sip of the soothing ginger soup. Her body felt warm instantly, making her feeling refreshed.
"Yes. These are good," Kyoya nodded in agreement.
