Chapter 2

"Isa?" Tanjiro lifted Isa up so she was sitting.

"H-hey T-Tanjiro," Isa managed to say.

"H-how are you still alive, that gash on your left side looks really bad?" Tanjiro asked.

"M-my power is healing," Isa said.

"Why are you keeping your other hand away from you?" Tanjiro asked. "I get it's covered in blood but…"

"It's the demon's blood," Isa sighed.

"Oh, makes sense," Tanjiro chuckled.

"I don't know what will happen if my blood interacts with a demon's blood," Isa stammered.

"What are you talking about?" Tanjiro asked.

"It's complicated," Isa sighed, and then sat up and looked at Tanjiro. "I was told not to tell anyone, I don't even know who my real family is." Isa then almost fell but Tanjiro caught her.

"Easy, you're hurt really badly," Tanjiro reassured.

"Y-yeah I know," Isa sighed and looked at the hand full of demon blood. "You can smell it on me can you." Isa looked at Tanjiro. " I thought it was just me but I smell like a demon myself."

"Y-yeah, I can," Tanjiro said nervously.

"But I'm also human," Isa sighed.

"To be exact you do kinda do also smell like Inosuke," Tanjiro pointed out.

"That wasn't just me either huh," Isa replied and accidentally touched her side with the hand full of demon blood. "Oops um, that touched my blood," Isa said as she quickly pulled her hand away.

"Um…" Tanjiro gulped. "Are you…"

"Look I don't know okay, I've never touched demon blood, nor have I been hurt this.., wait I'm healing faster," Isa looked at her side.

"How are you not turning?" Tanjiro asked.

"I-I don't know, is it possible I could be half demon," Isa shouted.

"I'm not sure, but that might explain why you smell like one," Tanjiro replied.

"What the hell is going on," Inosuke walked up. "Also the demon's gone, wait why is she hurt in the same spot that hurts on me."
