Continuation of Chapter 1(4)

Disoriented and filled with a sense of hopelessness, Egon lay on the cold ground, unable to comprehend how such a cruel world could allow him to endure such torment.

The weight of his anger threatened to crush him, suffocating the light within him.

With the immense pain Egon began unconcious.

-----

Moments later, the janitor's footsteps echoed through the empty school grounds.

His eyes, tired from a long day's work, scanned the surroundings until they landed upon the figure of a young boy lying near the garbage truck.

"What could a young boy be doing here around this time"

He hurried towards unconscious body.

Kneeling beside him, he gently shook Egon's shoulder, attempting to wake him from his unconscious state.

"Young man, wake up!" the janitor pleaded.

"Wake up!"

Egon remained unresponsive, sunk deep not wanting to wake up from his slumber.

"Kid wake up!"

He continued his attempts to wake Egon, his words growing more desperate.

Egon heard mild voices.

"Wa.....ke....up.....kid.... wake up!"

The words reached his ears, dancing in a chorus of whispers.

"Wake... up!"

Egon began to become aware of his surrounds gradually as the janitor's persistent pleas grew clearer.

Gradually, his dim eyes fluttered open, casting a gaze upon the darkening sky above. The canvas was painted with hues of fading daylight, signaling the approaching evening.

"What time is it?"

Egon couldn't phantom the time he had spent here.

He was surprised at the presence of the janitor, whose concerned face peered down at him.

"What happened to you? Why are you lying here? What are you still doing in the school's environment?" the janitor bombarded Egon with a flurry of questions, trying to understand what had happened to Egon.

"I'm sorry, everything is fine. Don't worry," Egon muttered, as he tried to stand up m, but fell down again.

He attempted to brush off the janitor's concern, not wanting to burden anyone with his troubles.

However, the janitor, perceptive and caring, could see through Egon's facade. He reached out, placing a hand on Egon's shoulder, offering support him.

"Here, kid! Are you injured? Tell me, I can help you," he urged, with genuine compassion.

Egon felt the comforting touch and the gentle lift as the janitor helped him to his feet. He glanced at his bag, still halfway on his back, a reminder of the chaos that had unfolded moments ago.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. I can take care of myself," Egon replied politely, attempting to assure the janitor that he was capable of handling his own struggles.

"Kid, are you sure?" he asked, his gaze searching Egon's eyes for any sign of unspoken pain.

"I'm fine," he insisted, as he swiftly made his way out of the of the school's environment.

"I hope he is ok"

The janitor watched Egon's departure, recognizing that the boy had closed himself off, unwilling to accept help at that moment. Despite his desire to provide assistance, the janitor understood that he couldn't force his help onto someone who wasn't ready to receive it.

"Hmmm!"

--------

Egon arrived home, he was completely exhausted.

He approached the front door, but it remained stubbornly locked.

"Uncle....." he called out as he pounded on the door, hoping for a response that never came.

His energy was Already depleted, leaving him physically and emotionally drained.

"Unc...le!" Egon called out, his voice weak and barely audible.

Inside the house, Egon's uncle was juggling his two-year-old cousin Tracy in his arms and holding Tracy's small hand, he heard the faint plea.

He hurried to the door, eager to aid his young nephew.

Opening the door, he was met with the sight of Egon on the ground, in his weakened state.

"What happened?" his uncle questioned. As he tried to lift him up with the free hand.

-----------------------

Egon lay on the bed in a state of unconsciousness, his face etched with pain from the punch he had received in his stomach.

Tracy, Egon's playful 2-year-old cousin, toddled about the room, unaware of the gravity of the situation. She giggled as she chased her favorite toy across the floor, the innocent joy of childhood radiating from her.

Uncle Rex with a determined look on his face, knelt beside Egon's bed. His eyes focused on Egon's motionless hands and the flickering flames that danced upon them. Applying his own Paranormal abilities, he extended his hands towards Egon's stomach, allowing his own energy to flow.

A warm, gentle light surrounded Uncle's Rex hands as he carefully guided the flames towards Egon's abdomen.

The flames, under his control, began to emit a gentle warmth, bringing comfort to the injured boy even in his unconscious state.

Tracy's curious eyes fixed upon the captivating sight before her.

Intrigued by the flames, she reached out her tiny hand, trying to touch them. In that split second of danger, Uncle's Rex reflexes kicked in, swiftly pulling Tracy back from harm's way.

"Tracy, no!" Uncle Rex voice rang out.

He scooped up his tiny daughter, keeping her safely held in his arms while he continued his efforts to aid Egon.

As the minutes stretched on, the room was enveloped with an aura of stillness.

Interrupted only by the crackling of the controlled flames. Uncle Rex focused on harmonizing his own energy with Egon's, gently coaxing him back to consciousness.

Egon's eyelids fluttered, and his breaths became steadier as the warmth of the flames permeated his body. Slowly, he began to regain awareness, his senses starting to awaken.

Tracy, now cradled in Uncle's Rex arms, gazed at Egon with wide eyes, with her innocent looks.

His uncle was provoked, who would have done this to his nephew? He saw that Egon had woken up the first question he threw was

"Who did this to you?"
