Continuation of Chapter 1(3)

School had just ended, and students scattered across the campus. Amidst the bustling crowd, Egon found himself in a secluded corner of the school environment — a place lined with garbage cans and forgotten debris.

Lost in thought, Egon barely noticed the approach of Leo and his crew, a popular but arrogant group of students known for their dominance over others. They were drawn to Egon's intelligence, hoping to claim his talents for their own purposes.

"Hey, new boy, I can see you're quite brilliant. I'd love for us to be friends," Leo said, attempting to grab Egon's attention.

However, Egon seemed disinterested, his gaze directed elsewhere, his mind still wrestling with the weight of his own thoughts.

Leo was frustrated as He leaned in closer, placing his hands on Egon's chin to force him to look up.

"Dumbass! I'm talking to you. Why are you looking in another direction?"

Egon stared at them with an angry tone

"I'm not the asshole who couldn't answer the teacher's questions."

Leo was surprised at Egon's lash out.

"Men! Let's teach this dude how we run things here," Leo commanded his friends, instructing them to hold Egon in place. They approached Egon, gripping both his arms tightly, rendering him helpless.

"Leave me alone! I won't submit to your authority!" Egon shouted as he tried to break free.

Leo sneered, a bitter smile on his face. "Then I'll show you how, from today onwards, you'll be at our beck and call." He gave the signal, and Leo's punches began to rain down on Egon's defenseless body. Each blow landed with a resounding thud, echoing through the room.

"Pooh!" the punches sounded, each strike inflicting excruciating pain. Egon cried out, unable to bear the intensity of the devastating blows.

The agony coursing through his body was overwhelming, and thoughts of his recently deceased mother consumed his mind. He struggled to hold back tears, trying to project an image of strength.

"Mmmmm," Egon groaned, his voice strained as he stifled his pain. But Leo continued his assault, determined to ensure Egon shed every last tear.

"Oh! You want to act tough? Hmmm, you really think you can handle my punches?" Leo taunted, his attacks growing fiercer.

Egon could no longer endure the relentless onslaught. After all, he was just a 12-year-old boy, whose youth left him ill-prepared for such brutality. Tears streamed down his face, mingling with the pain.

"Plea...se... Stop! It's...h...u...r...ting me..." Egon pleaded, his cries echoing throughout the field.

Leo paused momentarily, hearing Egon's pleas.

"You haven't even seen anything yet. I won't stop until you call me boss,"

Leo threatened, taking his punches to even greater extremes.

"But... I didn't offend you... You started it all," Egon sobbed, his voice filled with pain and confusion.

"Oh! So you still want to place the blame on me? I guess you don't want this pain to end," Leo cruelly taunted, increasing the force behind each blow to Egon's stomach.

Egon couldn't bear the torment any longer. His screams intensified as the pain reached unbearable levels, he couldn't take it ang longer as he cried out,

"Plea.. se... Yo..u're... the... boss!"

As soon as Leo heard those words, he abruptly ceased his assault.

"You could have saved yourself all this suffering right from the start," he said, as he gave a wicked smirk.

Leo's words echoed in Egon's mind like venomous daggers, stabbing at his already vulnerable state. The pain seared through his body, radiating from his stomach where Leo's blow had struck him. As he fell to the ground, his hands instinctively clutched his abdomen, desperately trying to ease the agony.

"And let's not forget, you can't tell your parents about this... Oh! I forgot, that dog head doesn't have parents," Leo jeered, his voice dripping with malicious intent.

Leo and his friends started laughing at Egon as they were leaving the environment which further added to his pain.

With each mocking laugh, Egon's heart sank further into despair. The ugliness of their words pierced through him, leaving deep emotional wounds that seemed impossible to heal.

How could people be so cold, so heartless?
