Chapter 14 Demon the Underground Fighter

2 Days Later in the Morning

"Yo Kai, do you know any underground fighting rings I can participate in?" Jin asked as he phoned Kai on his new phone. "Yes, but why do you need the money? Are you already running out?" Kai asked while thinking about what ring he'd recommend.

"Taking care of a child is more expensive than I thought, that coupled with living expenses, I probably won't last another month." Jin explained while he looked at his bank account.

"Fine come meet me at my base of operations then, I'll tell you about it there." Kai said before hanging up. 'Now I just have to make an excuse for me being out so late, and then I'll leave.' Jin thought as he began to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

As soon as he was done with breakfast Eri walked into the room as she rubbed her eye. "You finally woke up?" Jin asked as he gave her breakfast. "Mhmm." She answered as she began to eat.

"I'll have to be out for the rest of the day, so this your lunch and dinner. I'll leave it the fridge for you, you just have to heat it up in the microwave for about a minute." Jin explained as he showed her, her ready-made lunch and dinner.

"Okay, will you be back to watch a movie though?" She asked with hopeful eyes. "Ya, I'll try I shouldn't be that long anyway." Jin said before walking to the door. "I am going to go now if you need anything just call and I'll be back in a flash." Jin said as he opened the door. "Bye." She said before Jin left the flat.

An hour or so later Jin had arrived in front of Shie Hassaikai. "I am here Overhaul." Jin said as he phoned Kai. Around the rest of the Yakuza, it was best that he called him by his title rather than his name. "I'll be down, give me a minute." Kai said before Jin hung up.

Precisely a minute later the door opened and Kai was there waiting. "It's best we use the underground passages to get around." He said before Jin walked into the base. "Okay then, let's go." Jin said before following Kai through the base.

After a while of walking, they arrived in a dark alley. "Normally there aren't many fights around this time but I know a place." Kai said as they continued walking. Eventually, they met a group of thugs that let them into a building, after that they went through various other paths and passageways and eventually made it to a ring.

"By the way, it's best if you wear a mask." Kai said before handing Jin an Oni mask. "This will do then." Jin said before wearing the mask. "While we're walking, how many people can you take with you anyway?" Kai asked as they neared the last passageway.

"I am not sure, but either way I am only taking you from the Yakuza." Jin said as they continued walking. "Tch, that complicates things." Kai said as they continued walking.

"Don't worry, as you see other people as useful I see you as useful, and your other Yakuza friends won't help in those other worlds." Jin said as they entered the arena. "What do you....." Kai said before being cut off by the presenter.

"Today we have a new challenger, he goes by the name Demon and today he'll be fighting till he drops! There are no rules either, except to win a match the challenger must either kill or incapacitate his opponent! Once no one dares to challenge he will truly win and win the prize of 1 million yen. You may bet at the betting stations in the corners." The presenter said as Jin entered the area.

"I handled this from before." Kai said before walking to the betting stand. "I bet 100 million on Demon." Kai said before giving the cash and sitting down.

"Oh my, what is this man's quirk, to give Overhaul so much confidence."

"Should I bet on Demon too?"

"Does it matter, let's see how he does, we can still change our bets by the 2nd fight."

The crowd murmured as they looked at Jin. 'I've read enough xianxia to know that it's best to make money on betting.' Jin thought as he entered the actual stage.

It was a typical fighting ring except this one was covered by metal chains, this was done not to keep the participants in but to make sure that the viewers had a certain level of protection against their quirks.

"Okay, the challenger is on stage and you've placed your bets, now for a warm-up the challenger will be facing Bone Crusher." The presenter said as a hulking man entered the ring, he had a white skeleton mask on and he looked like he was ready to murder Jin.

"His quirk is Enhanced Bone Density, granting him increased strength, endurance, and speed!" The presenter said as the doors of the cage-like barrier close. "You may begin!" He shouted before Bone Crusher lunged at Jin and punched him in the gut.

"Puuu!" Jin spat out as he was sent flying into the ring. After that Bone Crusher came and began to punch him continually till Jin began to bleed. 'He's a great actor.' Kai thought as he watched the scene.

Eventually, Bone Crusher tired out a bit and stopped punching Jin, in this time frame Jin activated 10% of One For All and said: "I may not be able to win but I'll try my hardest!"

Immediately he punched Bone Crusher which caused the man to stumble backwards a bit before falling back and coughing up blood.

"What in the world!?"

"How did he gain so much strength!"

The crowd asked one after the other as they witnessed Jin standing up straight. "AHHH, I did it I beat someone for once!" After that, he slouched a bit before falling back.

Suddenly seeing this someone in the crowd was enlightened. "It must be that superhuman strength that people can activate. I heard that way back before quirks were a thing people used to be able to life cars in times of crisis although they'd die or be hospitalized soon after." Someone in the crowd said.

Hearing this the people around nodded as they too wanted to seem like an intellectual. After this the presenter called "Bone Crusher, Demon are you there?"

Bone Crusher sat there and didn't respond, while Jin spoke: "I am here." Before coughing up blood and flashing a smile. "Demon WINS!" The presenter said before calling the next challenger.

"He may have won this fight, but he needs to win 100 fights to truly win." This was the crowd's general consensus after being shocked by the fight. After that, they all bet against Jin, and the rates came out.

"Demon's chances of winning, betting rates 50:1"

Seeing this Kai began to snicker in his mind. 'I am gonna make 4.9 billion yen today.' Kai thought as the next challenger entered. "We can't change our bets after this right?" Kai asked the presenter. "No, you can't so if you want to change them, change them now." The presenter answered.

Kai didn't respond after hearing this and just sat where he was. 'I have a bad premonition.' The crowd thought as they looked at Kai.

"The challenger's second fight is now Poison Porcupine, let's see who will win!" The presenter said before the door's of the cage shut. Before this they had dragged Bone Crusher out of the ring but, Jin still sat there soaked with bload.

"Begin!" The presenter said as Poison Porcupine gazed at Jin. "Hahaha, you're trash, this is just easy money for me." Poison Porcupine said before rushing at Jin. "Don't worry I don't kill." Jin said before flashing past Poison Porcupine.

A fist imprint could now be seen on Poison Porcupine's chest before he fell over knocked out. "He, he played the sheep to eat the tiger!!!!" The crowd said as they raged. "HAHAHA, YOU FOOLS!" Kai laughed as he looked at Jin with glee.

"We've been tricked!" The crowd said in unison as they raged, it was too late now though. "Don't worry, you still have a chance, no? I mean it's 100 fights." Kai said, before pulling at his gloves. "And if you don't want to play by the rules, I can always show you hell on Earth." Kai said as everyone looked at him in fear.

Back in the day when Kendo Rappa was still fighting in the rings, Overhaul had visited a few times and eventually he recruited Kendo Rappa, after destroying him in a fight, a fight which most of them had witnessed.

"Don't worry, I am only using 10%." Jin said as he smiled and took off his jacket. Underneath there were at least 100 ketchup packets that had exploded to look like fake blood. "You were all too focused on the action to notice." Jin said as he threw the packets to the side.

Seeing this the crowd nearly raged but the fights continued. "Kapow." "Bam." "Boom!" "Shink!" Jin began to make sound effects out of boredom as he one-shotted each opponent, he made sure not to kill them though as he still wasn't ready to kill someone.

The crowd nearly spat up blood by the end of it and even the betting stations looked like they lost half their life span. Finally, the 100th match arrived though and the final contestant entered the ring.

"The 100th contestant goes by no name, he's one of the strongest ever to enter this arena, and his quirk is, well I am not gonna say because Demon is doing too well already!" The presenter said before a man entered the ring.

He had longish black hair which spiked up around his head hanging low over his eyes which are thin and turquoise in color. His most striking feature though was his patches of gnarled, wrinkled, purple skin that covered much of his lower face and neck, all the way down past his collarbone, below his eyes and on his arms and legs.

"Let's finish this." He said as the doors close. 'Dabi!' Jin thought as he got ready to fight. 'This should be fun.' He thought again as the presenter said "The last match will now, COMMENCE!"

Immediately hot blue flames began to be emitted by Dabi before being blasted towards Jin. "Hmph! Let's see what will win, my fists or your flames!" Jin said as he began to punch the air in front of him.

Immediately his fists began to flash as they disappeared and reappeared 10s of times creating air shockwave after air shockwave, which clashed with Dabi's flames, slowing them down. "I don't believe that flames will lose to air!" Dabi said as he generated even more flames.

"That's where you're wrong!" Jin said as he continually amped his power output. '11%, 12%, 13%,.....' He thought as he tried to see how much Dabi could take.

Eventually, at 15% his flames began to lose out. 'Damnit how can I lose to some muscle brained bozo.' Dabi thought as the flames increased, to the point where even Jin was feeling the heat, much less the crowd next to Dabi.

"We should run now before we're burnt alive!"

"Indeed I don't feel like become roast pig today."

"Neither do I."

The crowd said one after the other as they moved away. "Fine, you want to play hard, then let's try 100%!" Jin said as he stopped punching. His eyes flashed, as the Eye of Solomon glowed brighter than before and a Golden Mark also appeared on his chest.

"100% FIEND EMPEROR'S SMASH!" Jin said as he flicked his fingers. The flames had just reached his face when he flicked his finger and the flames were immediately extinguished. The blast was so volatile once it reached Dabi it sent him flying out of the ring through the walls, as the winds continually plowed through everything in front of it.

The crowd in the vicinity was all blown away except for Kai who expected this and stuck himself to the ground. Dabi had now finally smashed into a wall as he coughed up blood continuously, not only that but all the previous contestants who had been tending to their wounds were blown away.

At this point Jin had seriously injured every contestant in the fighting ring. "D-Demon wins." The presenter said as he had no words. Hearing this Jin went out of the ring and walked towards the betting station where Kai had gone.

After that, they collected their money and left. The rest of the people left in the room had no words and they were left stunned for 10 minutes before one said: "Even All Might isn't that strong."
