Smiling contently, I see my stats have grown again. Having plenty to spare of 38 stat points certainly makes it easy to invest in which stats need improving.

Although I could train to gain more stats, I could be due for some passive skills or wait and stockpile unless I need it in an emergency.

We finally returned as I began to start cooking for the group to return Elizabeth soon asked a question lingering in her head, "Excuse me, Mash… I was wondering who the person was who helped us. You seem to have a connection with her?"

I smiled seeing it was about time I introduced Beatrice to them I answered cooking some meals for the Sins in a happy tone, "Oh? Are you interested in meeting my spirit? Her name is Beatrice. You wanna show yourself?"

Soon I got my answer from her as she replied in my head in an uninterested tone, 'Nope. I merely want to sleep a bit longer. Ahh… I suppose.'

I suppose I got my answer by shaking my head to Elizabeth of Beatrice not wanting to appear in a defeated tone, "Nope. Seems like she doesn't want to come out. She says she wants to sleep some more."

Hawk soon chimed in eating some fresh scraps I cooked up raising an eyebrow, "So what does the half pint answer through your head?"

I jokingly said as I replied with an innocent smile cooking, "Nope. She's just the voice that lives inside my head."

Hawk merely rolled his eyes seeing my joke as Elizabeth thanked Beatrice out loud for her to listen, "Oh… in that case thank you very much Beatrice-sama for assisting us in our time of need. Thank you very much."

She doesn't know it but I can feel Beatrice's emotions of being embarrassed flushing her cheeks as I replied for her in a kind tone, "She says you're welcome I suppose."

Elizabeth smiled as the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins appeared causing me to look at Meliodas lacking his sword asking in a confused tone, "Uh… Bossman, what happened to your sword?"

He casually crossed his arms pouting as he explained what happened during his fight with Helbram, "I guess it got taken from me. It didn't help that Helbram was teleporting around and managed to drop us by surprise attacking citizens captured in his [Cage]. It took us longer than needed to break out."

Yeah… I figured that much. Considering they still save lives it must've been a drag for them to attack and defend with two key members.

Diane and King were the ones who protected the people. And when they left an opening for him to take the sword.

It was only when Meliodas got serious that they managed to break through the [Cage]. No doubt about the guy who had that power ended up dead.

King used his [Disaster] to change Diane's size after mentioning to him a Mushroom that could change a person's size into a mouse. And if a human could turn into a mouse, it could turn a Giant into a human size.

He thanked me heavily for finding a way to use his [Disaster] to grow these kinds of Mushrooms for him. Everyone inside eating while Mama Hawk takes us to our next destination leaving me to ponder.

I suppose the plot is going as intended… at the very least I managed to lessen the burden, I think. That just means I have to turn this situation in my favor.

And I know just how to bring someone to my side from the enemies since we are near recruiting Gowther soon enough. Now what kind of fresh hell awaits us…

~Third POV~

Elsewhere away from Vaizel Village damaged by Guila's explosions, Helbram managed to reappear groaning in pain, "Fuck… who said going against The Seven Deadly Sins would be easy… had to go all out trapping them with me. Bloody hell it was annoying… but I got it. I god damn got it."

Within Helbram's grasp is the Dragon Handle belonging to Meliodas the purpose of their mission to collect the Princess and the Dragon Handle.

This sword has a broken blade attached to a green, dragon-looking hilt. The hilt has two handles in the design of a twisted dragon which has three spikes on its head and on its back. The longer handle has the dragon's head at the end while the shorter handle has what appears to be a claw.

The hilt of the sword is a fragment of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, and, therefore, a key to the revival of the Demon Clan which was sealed away during the Holy War 3,000 years ago. This causes it to be part of a plot for the resurrection of the Demon Clan by Hendrickson, a Great Holy Knight of Liones.

The Handle, along with the other pieces of the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, were assembled in Danafor by the demon Fraudrin to break the seal of the Demon Clan.

Having acquired it after the destruction of Danafor, Meliodas, according to Ban, had never let go of the broken sword since joining Seven Deadly Sins.

Soon enough Helbram eyes Marmas returning empty-handed frowning asking the news in a serious tone, "Marmas… have you and the others retrieved the Princess for the revival of the Demon Clan readying for the Holy War?"

Marmas gulped his saliva explaining in a defeated tone kneeling as a sign of respect to Helbram, "Uh… no? Cardinal Helbram… we have been bested quite easily against the Shitty Cook known as Mash Bastion. Gulp…"

Helbram eyes widen at the news not believing the outcome clearing his throat as if he hasn't misheard the news, "I… I'm sorry perhaps I haven't heard that correctly. 3 members of the New Generation lost. And let me clarify this lost to a measly fucking nobody SHITTY COOK?!!"

*BAM*

Slamming his fist at the cliffside angry at the news Marmas swallowed his spit explaining in a nervous tone, "… Yes Cardinal. Somehow, he knew of Hendrickson's plan of using the Goddess Amber to trap Meliodas. But he somehow knew and used the Goddess Amber against us. Guila and Jericho were immediately captured in Holy Knight Howzer's hands..."

Listening to his words made Helbram pause losing his anger. Confusion was shown blinking baffled by the startling news, "I… what? Do you mean to tell me that this Mash Bastion… somehow figured out Hendrickson's backup plan and used it against us? How is that possible…"

Pondering this question Helbram crosses his arms expressing frustration at the news thinking to himself in a serious tone, 'Hmm… this doesn't make any sense? Do we have spies within our ranks? No. Hendrickson made sure of that… how did we have an info leak… damn it.'

Helbram frowns realizing a small issue he overlooked walking around informing Hendrickson causing the man from the other end to frown.

Helbram sighed thinking to himself of the situation they found themselves in a serious tone, "Sigh… our plan failed underestimating one small variable. And that small variable ruined our plan. No matter. He got our full attention now. Now we simply need to release Gulia and Jericho from the Goddess Amber."

Helbram and Marmas both returned to the capital with Marmas forgetting to inform the Fairy of a Spirit accompanying Mash 'conveniently' forgot…

Howzer soon returned to the Capital explaining the news of the Vaizel Village incident to Gilthunder listening and giving his input with a serious expression, "I see… The Seven Deadly Sins' 'attack' on Vaizel… seems like they have quite the stir as of late. Things are starting to unravel."

Howzer nodded seeing a Holy Knight of Hendrickson's faction bullying the weak with him talking to Gilthunder in a serious tone, "Yeah… but damn that guy sent me flying. That cook you mentioned in the past. Mash Bastion only took a few seconds to handle and change the situation in his favor. A real Holy Knight potential. And quite strong too…"

Gilthunder nodded his head agreeing to the news soon questioning Howzer to his confusion, "Yes… I heard the reports once Guila and Jericho got out that he trapped them in the Goddess Amber. The same one he gave to Veronica and then to Meliodas. Do you perhaps believe we have spies within our ranks?"

Howzer eyes widen realizing his friend's words before shaking his head and crossing his arms in a serious tone, "N-No… none of the Holy Knights will ever betray the Kingdom! On that, I do know Gilthunder!"

Gilthunder nodded agreeing as he confessed to another ability and danger of Mash shocking Howzer, "If that's the case then Mash could've used his [Telepathy] to obtain information out of the Holy Knights. He has confessed to having that ability from one of the members of the Weird Fangs."

Howzer eyes widen before being shocked at how many Magical Powers one human could even have in shock, "… What the hell… how many Magical Powers does this guy have… I've seen him before, and he has plenty to spare… just what kind of monster is that guy? Does he have the same ability as Cardinal Helbram?"

Gilthunder didn't know but instead gazed at the new Holy Knights under Hendrickson's Faction in a serious tone he thought, 'For some reason, Hendrickson's faction of Holy Knights has increased in number these past few days. And all of them are New Generation. Hendrickson's faction and Dreyfus's faction… the power that once maintained their equality is now breaking down the balance. Is this, too, a portent of the Holy War?'

*Shiii*

In the middle of the night away from anyone inside a cave lay the Demon Clan's lowest member's corpse the Red Demons inside hidden near the Capital City protected by Hendrickson's lands.

The Red Demons appear as large, obese creatures with clown-like faces. They possess sharp claws and teeth that grow in rows, along with two ridged horns protruding from their heads. The veins on their necks are prominent and can be easily seen. They have sagging skin and tongue.

The chain was the corpse till Mash appeared hidden away hiding appearance smirking at the Red Demon revealing white wings thanks to his Authority of Lust [Disguise] said, "Heh. Time to thwart some plans. [Ark]."

*SHIII*

Burning the corpse with the Holy Powers of [Ark] immediately with the blinding light Mash soon triggered an alarm with Holy Knights appearing of the New Generation.

Opening his Gamer Ring and exiting outside Guila, Jericho, and many New Generation eyes widened in shock and pain with Mash responding in a calm tone laced with pride, "Bad news everybody!!!"

And quickly vanished through the portal leaving many Holy Knights of the New Generation witnessing and assuming a member of the long-lost Goddess Clan returning…
