AUTHOR NOTE
We are currently at rank 195. I was planning to release more chapters, but I've been busy spending time with my mom, who came over to visit. Next week, I'm planning to release an extra chapter on Wednesday if we can reach 50 power stones. At 100 stones, I'll release 2 extra chapters, and at 200 stones, 3 extra chapters.
Lila's POV
After packing everything, we headed back to Diagon Alley. This time, however, we didn't venture far beyond the bar, as we only needed its fireplace to travel to Hogsmeade. We were escorted by Professor McGonagall, who mentioned that she needed to help settle a new employee.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that my father is now my teacher AGAIN! Of course, we were enrolled in primary school, and being the only school, I was in his class before.
Once we arrived in Hogsmeade, we were given a quick tour of the village. It was very small but cozy, just as you'd expect an ancient village to look like—full of floating houses, sentient fireworks, all manner of creatures in the street, floating lamps following you around, literal smells forming shapes to lure you into stores, the street constantly changing colors and shapes... you know, all pretty tame.
When we got to our new home, a small house sitting on the plains with an exterior made of the most pristine wood you could imagine, I noticed the hill had the strangest gravity. It could exert a force similar to flat ground when going up or down or have normal gravity if someone wanted.
The house had a beautiful meadow full of equal parts weeds and wildflowers—this is going to be such a project to fix!
The inside of the house was huge, bigger than any house I've ever been in. It had two floors. The first floor had a massive kitchen with the most beautiful counters and shelves. The living room was equally impressive, with the most comfortable-looking rug I've ever seen. It came with a set of furniture that was truly otherworldly. The ceiling and walls could change according to the intention of the house owners, showing the most beautiful sky or a regular roof. In fact, everything in the living room had the ability to transfigure into something else, making it possible to climb the coldest mountains or experience what the moon was like. Apparently, this was a recent discovery made while studying the Room of Requirement. It's super expensive and can only change every so often, depending on the length and complexity of the transformation. It may have to revert to its standard form to recharge.
The second floor had ten doors, five assigned to each of us, while the others were empty. Each room had similar abilities as the living room but on a much smaller scale. It couldn't replicate complex environments, but decor and furniture could be easily modified to make the softest of beds.
We had a wonderful dinner, and we were told that when Hogwarts begins, we couldn't wait because that's when we could see Snape again. That was the only negative thing about moving, but we promised to write since we do have access to owls.
It was a very nice couple of months. We explored a lot and practiced some magic. Our father kept coming and leaving the house, sometimes exhausted, sometimes just happy.
We raced the house down the hill a couple of times, and finally, it was time for Hogwarts.
