DEMOMIGHT (PART 2)

And what an entrance that was! Excluding me and the general, the six walked in with such a overbearing stride, worthy of their titles.

I noticed Mr Ben from planet Razor, that teaching aura still sticking strongly to him. The rest were new faces to me.

"Hey son. Best you know your comrades soon, before anything else. That one right there to the left goes by the name Hercules Kane, the only human to ever be granted the Adamantium weapon," The general began his explanation.

"I heard he single-handedly took on a rogue dragon, and bought just enough time for his planet to call in the appropriate authorities to deal with it. His second name was derived from the dragon's own," Mrs Kelly added.

Wait no way! Mr Ben?!

I never knew my previous teacher was that awesome! No wonder he always stood up for me against those snobby parents that always wished to expel me under their 'golden child's' influence.

He winked at me as a way of acknowledgement, then his face turned serious for the meeting. Good guy.

"Next to him would be the Wonder were girl. Named a warrior after she roamed the beast verse, searching for the formula to creating the transportation portals. Through many hardships, she managed to come up with the material required, even surviving the tests of planet Jupiter!"

I'm sorry, surviving the tests of what?! Wait... I think Bradley is laughing.

So let's just ignore the fact I also overcame that planet and just look at the girl. Short sharp hair, about five eleven with an athletes built. Her face was as warewolfy as it could ever be, cute though, with just a different shade of blue color for her hair. She had on a small blue dress with a few flowers on her sides. Definitely a looker.

Her face looked full of attitude too , I could tell this girl enjoyed the attention she got.

The general nodded to the other side, "To the right, that reptile like lady that has just now noticed us, she's the Viper master. Speed unmatched. Took down three Millennial monsters and only lost her tail during the struggle for her town's survival when she was a little kid, earning her the ownership of the weapon up until now. Very dangerous, that one."

She gave us a toothy smile that scared the hell outta me. Definitely not my favourite one of the bunch. Those razor sharp eyes and sharp nose weren't helping her case either.

"Next to snake lady is–"

"Now hold on, why no names? They nameless? W–would I have to change my name," I asked. Mrs Kelly laughed softly and shook her head.

"No Max. We mostly use the names they go by here on the outside. They don't appreciated someone who calls them by their real name," she answered.

"So, what's my alias?

"C'mon, boy. Stop dealing with useless unimportant stuff. Now, back on topic–"

"Shut up Zard! He has a right to know. It's the Chaos child!" Mrs Kelly butted in.

***

<That name suits you. Especially the child part.... I like that one.>

[Why I'm I not surprised? But it is cool though. Initials CC. And I'm no child thank you very much.]

<Are too! With your barely fourteen years old type body!"< p>

[Hey! I'm old from within!]

<Sure your are....>

***

"I can leave with that name," I said and returned my focus to the warriors.

"Moving on, next to the snake lady would be the one known as the 'soul reaper'. Mysterious as monsters come. Heard she's got connections with the Beast king hence given that title for doing gods know what,"

We stared at the 'black hood' wanna be and got nothing from her fully covered body. Why are the warriors so weird? I mean, I'm not weird, am I? (don't answer that)

"The remaining two would have to be ranked the top in our class," General Zard continued.

"Before that. I've got another question. What kind of weapons do each one of them hold? I know they are all adamantium, but the weapon which they hold is what I'm curious about." I wondered.

"See, I held such high regards for you, boy. Somehow you keep dropping my expectations since I met you," the general shook his head in disappointment.

"It's not my fault I was raised in a poor background, General," I shot back.

"Oh... I see. Sorry about that, I didn't know,"

Principal Kelly turned to the general with a serious look. "Don't forget, Zard. Not everyone from the camp come from rich backgrounds,"

"I understand, Kelly. No need to breath down on me. To answer your question, no Randolf. No one knows what weapon each one is carrying except the Beast king. And also, notice how most if not all your friends can't remember about your title, that's because they will always forget the type of weapon you wield, as per the rules when you took on the weapon," the general explained.

Oh, now I get it. But why did the general all of a sudden switch like that? Is it because I told him of my background? Guess he has a soft spot for us ghetto kids.

"Alright then. That middle aged man next to the Soul reaper would be the 'high wizard'. Same as the soul reaper with little info on him except he's one of the most powerful wizards in the verse,"

I know someone who could easily take that title from him. Let him enjoy that position for now. But at least he didn't dress like a wizard, except the hat of course.

White shirt with black jeans, he looked like your average normal everyday Joe, but his staff was quite impressive. The thing looked like grey oak, which I'm pretty sure is hard to come by, and a large glowy white orb to finish.

Interestingly, I wanted to meet him, possibility gain some tips for my new brother.

"And finally... Your going to love this...the ice princess!" Mrs Kelly stated in excitement, earning us a few looks from everyone around us.

I focused my attention to the girl principal Kelly was talking about and my eyes widened in shock.

Ice princess might just be sugarcoating it! Those icy blue eyes, snow white hair and cold aura made her more of an ice queen. She could have easily won Miss monster if she ever wanted to with that angelic smile portrayed on her face. I have no idea what type of monster she is but what's even more awesome is that she looks just about my age...

Hold on! She's my age?!

"Named a warrior when she was just about five. Her brother was kidnapped by one of the most dangerous factions of assassins, the Drones."

"Sorry, the who?"

"Don't worry Max. No one today knows of their existence because the were utterly eliminated by that cute little girl you see over there. If you are considering it, never think about crossing her, OK?" Mrs Kelly adviced.

The ice princess and I made eye contact and that frown she gave me already told me her character. She definitely doesn't see me in a high regard.

We all patiently waited for them to meet us up front on the table, no one else other than the other leaders arriving allowed to sit till the King arrived.

"Who do we have here? Zard, princess, and the new recruit," the Viper master greeted as she approached us first.

"Sup Max? Been doing well these days I see," Mr Ben said as he shook my hand.

"You two know each other? Huh, guess the weak always have connections," Were girl commented and earned a dirty look from both the soul reaper and the high wizard.

"He's awfully young to be named the chaos child isn't he? Well-done lad!" the high wizard praised with a pat on the back( painful one I might add) . Ice princess and the soul reaper just nodded her head in acknowledgement.

Before anyone could continue with the pointless chitchat, a sudden noise alerted everyone to the thrones.

Without anyone's knowledge, a guy who looked way past his forties was suddenly seated at the Kings throne. The same noise was heard again and the Elf king's throne was also occupied by a dude the same age as the first. Both had robes on but where the first to appear had a lion skin robe, the other one had one better with some type of green fabric and golden patterns on the front.

Both had the unmistakable aura of a king, their eyes filled with power as they stared down on us.

I immediately realized who were in our presence but was a little bit too late. All faction leaders were already standing and paying their respects while everyone else was kneeling down in honor. All except me.

"I think he doesn't know who we are. He looks confused... are you confused, Furrha?" Fenrick von Pallin, aka the Elf King, asked.

"Hahahaha! I like this one! He's got spunk!" the Beast King roared in laughter.

I quickly got on my knees before I could embarrass myself some more.

"Warriors! Take your seats!" King Jason ordered. Thankfully he didn't care about that my silly mistake.

"YES SIR!"

Soon, we were all seated at out appropriate seats, Mrs Kelly and the other non-worriors standing in one corner. Looks like I was placed in between the ice princess and viper master. I think whoever arranged this seating has some issues in his brain.

"Finally! All eight adamantium warriors fully gathered in our hall. It's been what.... a full century before such a feat happened! They always end up busy or most likely dead. So this is a sight," our king started.

"Oh Bah! This rowdy bunch is the best you've got, Jason? Two kids, a human, some ladies? The only hope I have on is the wizard, soul reaper and the demi-gon," Fenrick said plainly.

We all sat quietly and waited for the verdict of the king to speak out but he just smiled at us and raised his hands.

"Then by all means Fenrick, show us your top five," he announced.

Seems like the Elf King was waiting for this chance. He snapped his fingers and a green portal opened up. In walked in five green hooded Elfs, giving us little to no information about them.

"May I present to you, the Five leaves of life!" The Elf King announced proudly.

They all quietly walked to their designated seats, and all sat down after being given the order by their king.

"That's it?! Come now Fenrick. You've got to do better than that!" King Jason mocked.

"Better than yours at least. But more importantly, let's start with what probably made me call for this meeting. First of all, let's start with how many domains have been attacked so far?"

Two function leaders were the first to raise their hands, I think one was for the humans and another representative for an Elf nation raised their hands. A chain reaction began with most leaders raising their hands, to show their domains too have been attacked by the Demon king. I realized that a certain leader decorated in solider uniform with various medals around too raised his hand.

He is probably the head of all camps on earth. Never really knew he existed in the first place.

"I feared as much. Jack has gone too far this time. Attacking children instead of the army itself as a form of emotional damage. I heard he's targeting your camps too Jason?" King Fenrick asked.

"Indeed he has. Thankfully, due to the new adamantium warrior, we were able to predict his movements and neutralize his attacks. Though one school was the most affected. Kelly, please elaborate on that," Jason said.

"Yes, my king. It was an attack no one could have predicted. Camp Mars was the first camp to be attacked, and they used a sort of powerful orb to freeze any monster above the grade A stage. We were lucky that the Chaos child dealt with the immediate threat, less the entire camp would have been burnt to a crisp," Mrs Kelly stated.

"Oh? And who is this chaos child?" Fenrick asked while searching our table.

I really didn't want to stand up to be the center of attention but once one of the king asks such a question, it is my obligation to answer.

"T–that would be me," I muttered as I stood up.

"This little kid is the one that faced a demon horde and came out unscathed?! Wow Jason, he's probably one of the new geniuses in your monster core,"

"That he is. You've earned that title boy. Be proud to hold it as one of the youngest protegee to face death!" the Beast king praised.

The temperature to my left suddenly turned cold. I risked a glance and saw that the ice princess was not happy with how much praise I was getting. Remind me never to stay in one room with her.

"Listen well, humans, monsters and elves. We have finally decided to counter the Demon King's attack after a lot of deliberation. To do that, we have chosen to create the strongest team, one that will help in the upcoming battle." King Jason said.

"But to achieve that, we need to hold a competition for all warriors. We have seen the best outcome for a strong team is also a small one, so the maximum number has to be eight,"

King Fenrick joined in. "Don't worry about the difference in numbers Adamantium warriors. I've called in three more elves with the potential to be part of the leaves of life, but have rejected the title for various reasons so rest assured. And with that, Let the Coming competition of Elves Verses Monsters that determine the Eight elites formed from both factions, BEGIN!"
