Problems in the library (1)

Billions of years have passed since the first extinction day, the cycle was over once again, mankind ruled earth once again, although some monsters were still a threatening thing. Everyone had some amount of power they were born with, but those who gave more time in training could increase greatly. In the beginning, training wasn't something they did, so they weren't that strong compared to this generation, now they know how important the training is.

In the library corner's from the White Lotus Continent a boy was reading his book, 'How to do breakthroughs'. He was a young boy, fourteen years old, and he had a pale skin, his hair was as white as snow and his body wasn't strong, and his eyes were a deep tone of black. Beyond that, it was just a regular body, for a young teenager. He was wearing a black robe, it was a good combination this, black and white. He is Yun Hao.

Three books were already in front of him, he wasn't studying the meaning behind the phrases, like everyone else or the effects of them; he was stacking knowledge, and looking for similarities that could help him. Unfortunately, he wasn't born with a vast amount of spiritual energy, but for his age he had an amazing control of his, so he focused on control more than quantity, because he knew if he could find an item that was able to increase his amount of spiritual energy, he would be in no trouble. He had one in mind already, the Blue Necklace, as the name suggests, it's a necklace and can store spiritual energy from the monsters that were killed, although Yun Hao had two problems about it. First, the price was way above his pay grade, and the second he couldn't kill the beasts to store its energy.

"Three books already and almost no information about control…" he went to the bookshelf and took another book.

If just he had more spiritual energy and the same control he would be way stronger than now. But that wasn't the case now, now he was frequently bullied and looked down on by everyone, although he tried frequently to increase his spiritual energy, it was taking way to long, to achieve the first level in Beginners' realm it took 6 months to a regular person, a genius would do in 4, but for Yun Hao it took a long and whole year.

In a world where power is the core of society, lacking it is the same being no one, and that was the case for Yun Hao, that came from a poor background, but full of love. A powerful background is important, every hero born in this era basically came from one, or got the support from one, due to their abilities, although love can't be bought, the way they treated each other, the respect itself, it was enough for Yun Hao.

Yun Hao put his hand under his chin, he was looking to the shelf from top to down, not a single book from that shelf could grab his attention, almost all of them were techniques he couldn't practice, due to the lack of realms or just levels in the first realm. Just wasn't just fit for him.

Some people were from afar, judging how fast Yun Hao was reading, probably losing the most beneficial parts. That wasn't the way you read those books. He hated this so much, how they would 'care' for others so much, in his mind this was the epitome of stupidity. He only cared for him and a small bunch of people, that were good to him, that doesn't matter which realm he was or if he was rich or poor. Why would he even care about others beyond his social cycle, this was a nonsense that he couldn't understand.

A group from afar were chatting.

"Look, it's good-for-nothing Hao."

"So useless, fourteen years old and still in the first level of the Beginners' realm"

"Tsc..., just look at him, showing off as if there was nothing good in those books...I hate people that don't know their place."

Yun Hao was listening to the talking, it wasn't like they were talking low so they couldn't be heard, it was quite the opposite. The young just rolled his eyes.

He went to the next shelf. Grabbed a few more books, among those there were 'Cultivation, what is and its importance'; 'Martial arts and cultivation'; 'Cultivation heroes'; 'Legends and Tales'.

He settled the books on the table, and those three which were stacked he took them back to their shelf.

The first book he picked from his new stack was 'Cultivation what is and its importance'. He read this one already, although this one basic book that he liked a lot. Was well written and the explanation was straightforward.

The first page it was always a good reading. "Cultivation is key to success in this world, being a powerful person you can do whatever you want, although without power you don't have this luxury. The weak will always perish, while the strong will thrive." Yun Hao nodded slightly, deep in his heart he knew this was a hard truth, but as the books say the weak will always perish. Although in all his years as a reader he never saw written anywhere that the weak couldn't become strong. To be honest, he knew some stories where what happened, was exactly this, the weak with low spiritual energy achieved surreal levels of strength, and as any other cultivator, this was his dream as well.

He kept reading.

"Cultivation is usually done while in meditation. The cultivator will cross its legs, close his/her eyes and the hands are going to be in a form similar to a sphere. There are others positions to cultivate, although this is the most well-known and practiced." Once again he slightly nodded, because he knew this was true, he had seen people doing the way the book just described, including his own father.

He kept reading.

"This part is important. Pay attention." He nodded and focused even more. Approached his face a bit more and kept reading. "The energy you are going to cultivate come from outside, from the Earth and Sky itself. You have to understand that if you don't stabilize, you will suffer from a fluctuation of power for few days, while if you stabilize through meditation you can reduce the time of this fluctuation to one day, since you are doing in an active way, and not in a passive, as letting the energy stabilize by itself. The power to attract energy is as important as the power to contain, both are important."

Yun Hao nodded and thought.

"I'm not so good to attract, but my stabilization is one of the bests that I know…I have to improve my attraction or increase with some item...the blue necklace…" He lowered his eyes and slowly sighed.

With his right hand, he slightly turned the page, using his index finger, the same hand went to his mouth, and the young man kept reading.

"Cultivation is divided into realms, and each realm has nine levels, higher the realm, harder is to improve. When a person is stuck on level nine and trying to go beyond, he is doing his 'breakthrough'." Yun Hao nodded, and remembered the first book he took today, it taught how to do a breakthrough properly.

The sound of the chair being dragged filled the library.

Yun Hao looked at the sound came from, if he could go back and don't look at it, he would. It was Li Yang, the young master from one of the branches of Li sect. He had the same age as Yun Hao, but he was in the third level from the Beginners' realm. His hair was black and long, his robe was white and some girls thought of him as being pretty, to most of the boys, he had a punchable face.

Li Yang was going towards Yun Hao, Li Yang was being followed by his servants, I mean, friends. The young man from the family Yun with no important background sighed heavily. He scratched his forehead, he knew trouble was coming to meet him once again.

Often Li Yang chased Yun Hao, he knew he was in a lower plane, so he was a good pray for the Yang boy. Although time after time, the boy was lucky enough and was being saved every time from Li Yang, by the librarian, well at least when he was in the library. At school, Yun Hao tried to avoid Li Yang.

The problem wasn't that he was too weak, although that was a fact, with the way he used his energy, he could defeat the stupid Li Yang, and that would probably bring more problems than good.
