23 23•My funky valentine [2]

Right before The whole thing that Will had to hear, Manny was currently being dropped off in Mitchell's place due to Jay and Gloria going out as well as Claire and Phil.

So with Mitchell being the only person Jay know is not going out, he decided to ask them to babysit and Cameron happily replied of course. They were currently going over Mitchell dropped case.

Mitchell:"I had one of the greatest closing arguments of all time-all about the big government

rolling over the little guy,and I even had this great moment at the end...where I would point to the state seal and I'd say, "Shame!""

Cameron:"Oh, that's what you were doing in the shower. I was a little worried.Anyways, Claire called and wondered if it was okay for us to babysit Will, Alex, Luke and Haley? I told her we could do it to celebrate-"

Mitchell:"It's fine, we have Lily now so it would be good for her to play with Them…Mainly Will and Alex."

Mitchel poured himself a glass of whiskey as he sat on the couch, and Cameron standing up in front of him when Doorbell ringed.

Cameron:"Um, that's Manny. I said we would watch him tonight.I hope you don't mind.I didn't know you were gonna be going through all this."

Mitchell:"No, it's fine.The more the merrier plus, It might be nice to have him around.He always make me laugh."

Cameron:"Hi, Manny."

Opening the door, Manny had his head down

Manny:"The universe is cold and loveless."

Mitchell:"Uh-oh."

Cameron:"Uh-oh. Bad Valentine's Day?"

Stepping in and pouring himself a cup of sparkling water, he sat beside Mitchell as he drank when Mitchell would drink.

Manny:"I went for the gold-Fiona Gunderson.I poured my heart and soul into a poem, left it on her desk.I even burned the edges to make it look fancy. I even threw in a joke and a compliment like Will told me to"

Cameron:"And she didn't like it?"

Manny:"Oh, she loved it.But this kid Durkas,told her he wrote it."

Mitchell:"Well, Manny, why-why didn't you

just tell her the truth?"

Manny:"She was already gone.And she's on a date with him at my favorite restaurant,Great Shakes."

Cameron:"How do you know all this?"

Manny:"I invited her in the poem.Right after the line of,"My love is deeper than the Great Lakes.""

Cameron:"Okay, well, this is unacceptable."

Mitchell:"Oh, boy. Here we go."

He sighed and took a sip from his drink as well as manny, if Gloria was here, she would've told Manny he looked like a retired office worker who just got fired.

Cameron:"No, it's not that big of a deal. This is what we're gonna do.We're gonna shoot over to Great Shakes, get a table.Manny can reclaim

the love of his life.Alex and Will can get their date. You and I can get a couple Mudslides.Haley and Luke can watch how we're great love saviors"

Manny:"I don't know.Durkas is gonna be there.I've seen the kid do a pull-up."

Cameron:"So what? Will can do a gazillion more than him."

Manny just shrugged as he still had his head down

Cameron:"Hey, Manny, it's Valentine's Day.It's not the day you run away from love.It's the day you track it down,tie it up and take it home.Now, if we can pull this off,you and your little lady friend...will be belly up to a ice cream counter having a milk shake with two straws.What do you say?"

He still shrugged

Mitchell:"If any trouble comes, you can use will or even better, if you want to impress her, we can make Will take a beating and show her how strong you are"

Cameron:"…"

Manny:"I like it."

And like that, Time slowly passed as Will was in his house with his parents all dressed up in the hallway that led to the door. Will had a white collar button up shirt tucked into his black jeans with his white shoes.

His mom had a dress on as his dad was wearing a tuxedo as they fixed each other a bit with some light kissing, turning over to her son, Lucy pinched his cheek and made kissy faces to him.

Lucy:"Aw, look at my boy all handsome for his date"

Will:"Mom, it's just a small date"

Lucy:"Uh uhhuh, a date is still a date mister, Aw, your growing up"

Will chuckled as Lucy ruffled his hair with Merlyn just fixing it back up

Merlyn:"I promise you I'm gonna meet her, just give me some time alright champ?"

Will:"Sure dad, it's not like I'm going anywhere right"

He nodded and they started to get into their car with Will taking a ride with them so he could be dropped off at Alex house as he was going with her to Cameron place and then they were going to the restaurant to help manny and have a nice little lunch date with his love.

Being dropped off in front of her house, He knocked on the door with Claire in a dress as she opened it.

Claire:"Hey Will, come in. Uh, look."

She took him by his arm and into the kitchen as she looked around

Claire:"Although I may have come across creepy and overprotective on your guys date…I just…have to thank you for caring about her and truly looking out for her"

Will:"Oh it's-"

She hugged him as Will was caught off guard and stood there with a shocked expression as she chuckled

Claire:"Although I'm still gonna keep my one eye on you guys"

Will nodded as they went back to the door as Luke and Haley were already downstairs with Alex coming down the stairs wearing a plaid overall dress, with her glasses and her hair coming down and with her lips glossy

Will:"Wow, you look absolutely stunning-gorgeous"

Haley:"Well it wasn't easy but I actually got her to look sensible"

Alex was blushing as she looked down at her clothing and then back up as she fixed her glasses and putting a strand of hair behind her ear.

Alex:"Tha-Thanks,umm,i uh, I think you look bea-extremely good looking today-I mean everyday-because I totally think you look good everyday-and it's not that I creepily stare at you everyday…"

Alex quickly shut her mouth.Haley shook her head with her arms crossed as Claire just smiled. Luke looked confused as Will chuckled.

Will:"Thanks, i thought you were gonna be someone totally different with that dress but it looks like my Alex is how I like her, nerdy, awkward, shy and lovable"

She blushed again as she looked away with Luke weirdly looking at them as Haley stood by his side, waffing her face

Haley:"I did that"

Claire:"Aw, now let's go, Uncle Cameron is waiting for you guys and I…have a date with your father at our usual restaurant so let's move it, move it"

Alex:"Can't believe our date is going to be at a greasy restaurant"

Will:"Hey, as long as it's with you, I don't mind sacrificing my health to keep you with me"

Alex:"Stop, your gonna make me chromium-Crimson"

Will:"You were gonna say crimson using the elements of the periodic table weren't you?"

Alex:"Yeah…"

Will:"Oh there's my Alex…my gorgeous"

Alex:"I like that nickname…"

He side hugged her and put his head on top of her head as they got in the car and sat next to each other. Alex was still blushing as she put her arms around his torso with Claire looking through the mirror that was attached to the roof.

She would regularly take looks during her drive or on stop lights as she would occasionally make some sounds with her mouth but Alex and Will intentionally ignored her and will do that until Claire actually says something.

Arriving at their uncle place, Claire quickly drove off as Cameron opened the door and welcomed them in as Mitchell already had Lily in her car seat as Manny with his nice shirt.

Mitchell:"Okay, let's get this over with, uh Haley, would you mind staying? There's not enough room in the car, I mean there is but there's gonna have to be some lap sitting"

Haley:"Good, you don't have to ask me twice. I'm staying"

Cameron:"Alright love birds, let's go"

They left the house and went to the drive way as Mitchell put Lily in the back seat, Alex in the middle, Will to the left as Luke between them.

Cameron:"You guys ready?"

Manny:"Uh no, is this safe? I don't even have my seatbelt on"

Manny asked from his position as he was between Will legs, mildly sitting and standing up.

Mitchell:"We're ready"

We change to the scene of Gloria and Jay sitting at a table with Merlyn and Lucy, at another table far away. The thing was that they didn't even know each other were here.

The comedian they were seeing was currently up on the stage with a stool and a glass of water there as the spotlight was on him.

Brenner:"Thank you. Thank you.Scientists-They don't know why this is true,but it's true.Women with big rear ends live longer.Man who tell 'em that don't.Did you read about this man,a 91 -year old

bank robber in Texas?He goes into a bank-"The hell did I want?"They had over 4,000 photos of him

escaping from the bank."

Laughter and Applause were heard as Gloria laughed

Jay:"See? He's funny, huh?"

She nodded as Merlyn and Lucy laughed along with them holding glasses of champagne that they were currently drinking.

Oddly enough, the hotel bar that Claire and Phil, oh my bad, Clive bixby and Juliana, decided for their valentine date was right near where Gloria, Jay , Lucy and Merlyn were seeing their favorite comedian.

How weird right? But that's not the point as Phil, or better yet, Clive, came in and saw Juliana(Claire) sitting on a stool in front of the bar.

Getting into character and starting the role play, Clive walked over to her and started doing his magic.Some Piano Smooth Jazz and chattering was heard around as well

Clive:"Mind if I join you?I'm Clive.Clive Bixby."

Phil was wearing a nice coat as he head a "Hello my name is ——" name tag on it.

Juliana:"Yes, I can see that. I'm Juliana.So, Clive, you in town for a convention,or do you just forget your name a lot?"

Clive:"Pretty kitty has nails.I like that.I'm in town

for a trade show.I design high-end electroacoustic transducers."

Taking out a box of cigarettes and throwing them on the counter, he puts one between his fingers and slowly brings it up to his mouth as he talks

Juliana:"Wow, that is very...specific."

Clive:"It's a fancy way of saying I get things to make noise.So, what's your story?Miss America Pageant in town?"

Juliana:"You're a pretty smooth talker, Clive."

Clive:"I'm pretty smooth all over."

Taking out a lighter, he started to lit it as they were immersed in their role play but a waiter came by noticing the flame, running their roles

Waited:"Sir, there's no smoking in here."

Clive:"Oh, that's fine. I'm not actually a smoker."

Juliana:"You're quite the Boy Scout, Clive.Tell me, would you be interested in earning a merit badge tonight?Do you know anything about tying knots?"

Clive:"I probably shouldn't be talking to you.I'm a married man."

Juliana:"Ah.Well, I just so happen to like married men.Tell me about your wife."

Clive:"Well, she's beautiful, of course."

Juliana:"Really?Well, if she's so very beautiful, why are you here with me?"

Clive:"Because she's always so tired...and she's always making lists of things for me to do."

Juliana:"Maybe if you did them she wouldn't be so tired."

Clive:"Oh, no.She can make lists for days.But back to your mouth and how sexy it is."

Juliana:"Mm-mmm. I wanna go back to these alleged lists and your nagging wife."

Clive:"I'm not talking about you."

Phil broke character as Claire took a deep breath and sipped her martini.

Phil:"I didn't mean that. Can we try this again?"

Claire:"Yeah."

Juliana:"So if your wife is so beautiful,why are you here with me?"

Clive:"Because...I respect her too much...to do to her...what I'm going to do to you?"

Juliana:"Oh, jackpot…I'll be right back, Clive."

With that, she grabbed her coat and headed for the bathroom as Clive had a big grin on his face and drinked his martini

Back to Manny valentine, they just arrived at the restaurant as they got a table for 6 and sat down as Cameron put Lily card seat on a kid seat at the end of the table by their side.

Will and Alex were on the far side as they got some menus and ordered some drinks. After that was done, Manny looked around for his crush.

Cameron:"Do you have eyes on her? Is she here?"

Manny:"Two o'clock-blonde at the back table."

Cameron:"Yep. I have a visual."

Mitchell:"Let's not talk like that anymore. Over."

Manny:"Okay, this is it. I'm off to win the heart of my beloved."

He walked off as Alex and Will were watching on how Manny will reclaim his love but that was hard to do when Cameron and Mitchell were arguing.

Cameron:"Well, this is nice.I mean, if we can't have

our own Valentine's Day,it's nice that we can give somebody else one and see one"

Mitchell:"All right, Cam. I'm sorry.I'm sor- I'm sorry I have not been attentive.I've been spending the last five months...pouring my core beliefs into the greatest speech that I will ever write, and then that moment gets taken away."

Will and Alex just had wide faces as Manny came back with him shaking his head

Cameron:"Hey, buddy. How'd it go?"

Manny:"I can't do it, not while Durkas is there.He has the natural confidence. I admire it and fear it."

Cameron:"We will deal with him directly. We need a plan."

Rubbing his chin, he started to think as he looked at Will with Mitchell licking his lips and clicking his tongue

Mitchell:"Could you be more dramatic?"

Cameron:"We need a plan!"

Alex cocked her head back as Cameron did what Mitchell said. She shook her head as she turned around and jumped backed a bit as she felt a soft pair of hands on her hands.

She looked down on the table to see Will rubbing his thumb on the back of her hand as she blushed

Alex:"What's this for"

Will:"Just wanted to do this"

Alex giggled.
