Chapter 2: Despair (2)

Raytoria was again in a dark world. All he could hear was the growls and screams from outside. As a young man from a modern world, he was quite rational but having your parents killed by the demonic beasts, was much more traumatic than having them died on car accidents.

He kept on crying until he passed out.

Raytoria woke up.

It's all dark. He immediately tried to remove the obstruction from under the bed. He immediately thought if his mother and father. Where were they? Were they still alive?

A light came through after removing the things. He forcefully removed all of them and crawled out from under the bed.

What he saw after were destruction. The homes surrounding theirs were all destroyed. Corpses littered the area. He looked around and saw nothing of his mother. His home was destroyed. He looked outside the street and a silhouette of a person came to view. He recognized the dead body's clothing. It was his mother's. His heartbeat came drumming hard, he rushed and ran toward the corpse.

He came close to it. It was faced down. He turned it around and what came to view was his mother's ripped off head in half with bite marks. Her arms missing. Her legs missing. Her body in half too.

Raytoria was dumbfounded. He felt nothing but his eyes were tearing so hard. He couldn't even speak. He sat in front of his halved mother in silence while crying.

"Chase after it!" A man in a body armor with a sword in hand said.

"Yes sir!" The other men in same attire answered.

The men were the kingdom's army. They were chasing the wounded demon beast wolf. It was quite large, a size of 12 feet. But it was wounded and one more strike and it will be dead. Annoyingly, they were not able to finish it off as its quite nimble and clever.

"Chase!!!" All of them shouted.

After a few chase off, they got to the area where Raytoria lived.

The demonic beast kept on running and it ran toward Raytoria's location.

"Damnit! There's a kid sitting on the road! What the hell! The demonic beast will kill the child!"

"Dang it! We're too late!"

Raytoria was sitting in front of his mother on the road. He just kept looking at his mother without any thoughts. Blank. That's what he was.

Somehow, he snapped and heard shouts as well as growls and foot steps.

He turned his face and looked toward that sound and saw the demonic beast running toward him. He felt the fear. It was so large.

He backed off and immediately ran. But he tripped. He was already blank. Raytoria was not able to comprehend the next steps. He just looked around and found a sword. He picked it up with difficulty. It was quite heavy.

He tried to point it towards the demonic beast but the demonic beast did not care. It still ran toward him. The men behind the beast shouted and wanted him to run away.

"Why? I'm dead already. I just want revenge." He thought.

"Why was that kid picked up the sword! What a gaddamn fool!" The leader of the men said while rushing toward the beast and kid.

The beast ran and ran and now few feet away from Raytoria. It didn't think about anything and just prepared to pound Raytoria.

Raytoria, on the other hand, was shaking but kept his stance.

And within moments he and the beast was face to face. The moment passed by quickly and Raytoria stabbed forward without hesitation. The beast, who jumped toward Raytoria, growled heavily but the sword has hit its chest. It was a fatal strike.

It was dead.

It dropped over Raytoria.

"Goddamn! He killed the beast!" The leader said.

"Yes Sir! The lucky child did it! What a fearsome kid!"

Raytoria, who was under the beast's corpse, tried to get out and he did. Once he stood up, he was met with the kingdom's army and patted him in his head.

He just looked blankly at the corpse of this demonic beast but he has heard the sound.

"Huh? System?" Raytoria was surprised.

"So, this was the cheat for me?" He was lost but not stupid. He immediately knew what was going on. Like in novels he read on earth, this has happened to him too.

Ideas were quickly thought up by Raytoria and thus, he was now sure on how to get revenge for his parents.
