A great mayor but not a good man

"The man is said to be a great mayor who is just right for his job, however, everyone says that he was never a great father nor a good husband. Both his children died at a young age and there is a rumor that the mayor was somehow involved in their deaths. If that's not enough, they say that even his wife's death was not natural." 

"But all of that is nothing more than a rumor, is it not?" Xiao Jingyi frowned as he interjected, "How can you base your analysis on something that cannot be proven?" 

Fu Jie blinked as he heard this. 

'Of course, I can base it off of that!! It's because I've read the story and I know the truth!!' Fu Jie fumed in his head but naturally didn't let it show on his face. 

Fu Jie chuckled dryly as he nodded and agreed with Xiao Jingyi, "What Shizun said is indeed right. It would be unfair for me to base this off of a rumor but what if I tell you that we can find proof about this rumor?"
