You will reap what you sow you monster!

***************************

The princess and Belle ran as fast as they could, still draped in cloaks so no one would recognize them. They heard the galloping of horses right behind them. So they ran to hide in a wooden shop that was recently demolished.

They were hiding amongst the ruins of the wooden shop as they watched the soldiers on horses run past them.

General Sam stopped right in front of the demolished shop and their breaths hitched, he was sitting majestically on his horse.

"Find them, whoever they are, I want their heads, they must not leave this kingdom alive!!" He yelled and the soldiers roared in return as they proceeded with their search.

"I knew this was a bad idea princess, we won't escape this," Belle said panting hard, she was panicking.

"Shhh," Evie shushed Belle and as if Sam heard them, he turned his gaze to the demolished shop, he came down from his horse, his gaze never moving away from the ruins as he took slow and careful strides towards them.

Their heartbeats picked up their pace, they could hear their heartbeats drumming in their ears the more Sam took a step closer. The girls closed their eyes right when Sam was about to push the wooden table that they were hiding behind when a scream was heard from one of the soldiers.

Sam's head whipped towards the direction of where the scream was coming from, he ran towards his horse and jumped on it, also galloping away to check out what the source of the scream was.

The girls sighed in relief and hugged each other. "We can't stay here any longer, we need to keep moving carefully," Belle heard Evie say and she nodded.

With careful steps, they made sure not to make any noise as they crept to take a look at whether the area was clear or not, but fortunately, it was.

"Let's go," Evie said and they ran out of the demolished shop, they were a little farther from the shop when two guards spotted them.

"There they are," The Soldiers said, rushing towards them. Evie panicked and looked around, she saw a barrel filled with apples and she pushed it down, it rolled and spread on the gravel grounds and the soldiers slipped and fell hard.

Grabbing Belle's hand, Evie ran in the opposite direction, but four soldiers on horses were behind them, throwing Spears. They managed to dodge the spears and ran into a corner where a huge soldier was rushing towards them with an Axe.

Evie didn't stop, she ran towards the huge soldier and picked up some sand, and when she was close enough, she sprinkled the sand into the soldier's eyes and ran past him.

The corner they had run into was a dead end with only a ladder, the soldiers were already behind them. Belle hastily climbed the ladder and helped her princess up and when Evie was on top of the brick wall she kicked the ladder causing it to collapse.

"What are we going to do now?" Belle asked, seeing the huge body of water at the dead end of the wall.

"We jump, it's the only way," Evie said.

"But we might not survive," Belle said.

"If we let them catch us, we will not survive," Evie said and Belle nodded.

"Ready?" She asked.

"Yes your Highness," Belle said, but her voice came out like a whisper.

They held each other's hands and jumped together, landing straight into the water.

Belle was the first to open her eyes, it was already daybreak and they had washed up shore, their belongings were also in the case and half buried in the sand.

She looked around her and saw her princess lying on the sand, she mustered up all the strength in her and went to check on the princess.

"Your Highness," Belle called, shooting the princess and that was enough to wake Evelyn up.

"We--we're alive?" were the first words that came out of Evie's mouth.

"Yes, thankfully your Highness,"

"Let's get out of here before they..."

"Good morning your Highness, I trust you had a peaceful rest," Evie saw General Sam, his black face staring at her with a grin as they were surrounded by his soldiers.

Belle wondered how they got here so fast, or were they already here when she woke up? But how come she didn't see them? Her eyes were blurry and they still are, so maybe she had missed them. But that wasn't the case right now, they've been caught.

She was willing to follow the princess to death, but now she was going to die.

"Your Father wishes to see you, Your Highness," General Sam said and with a gesture, the soldiers stepped forward and grabbed the both of them.

"Let go of me," Evie struggled, but it was no use, she was held by more than one soldier. And they all had muscles. She was no match against them.

Shortly after, they were back at the Castle, The General took them into the courtroom, where her Father was sitting majestically on his throne. The elders sat beside him, including the dukes and duchess. Many slaves, maids, and soldiers were also present in the courtroom.

"Kneel," General Sam said and the girls kneeled with their heads down. Trembling with fear the King's gaze never left them.

"You should be ashamed of yourself Evelyn," Epirius's angry voice echoed in the courtroom.

He stood up, putting his hands behind his back. He walked towards them, coming down from the stairs and pacing up and down.

"I thought you went missing, I thought the assassin had gotten to me, not knowing my daughter was making a run for it from her very own kingdom!" Epirus yelled, causing tears to roll out of Evie's eyes.

"You disappoint me, Daughter,"

"And you disgust me, Father!" Evie yelled, causing the elders to murmur in each other's ears.

"You want your only Daughter to get married to a man old enough to be my Father, you don't let me have a say in this kingdom, Why do you hate me so much, what have I ever done to you?!" Evie let out, standing up on her feet.

"Because that is what's good for you and the Kingdom, Samuel is capable of protecting you and this Kingdom!"

"I want to marry someone who I love and who loves me,"

"Samuel loves you!"

"The moon goddess forbids it, I will never love an old man like him, are you trying to destroy my future?!"

"I am trying to build it, and this is the best way, and you have no say in this, I am the king and you will obey me and never leave this castle walls again!" Evie had angered the king even more that his veins had popped on his neck.

"Please forgive us, Your Majesty, it wasn't the princess's fault, I should have dismissed that thought when she had it," Belle begged, l with tears she was still on her knees.

A gasp echoed from Evie's lips when she felt a warm liquid flash on her face, She shakingly looked down to her feet where she felt something hit her leg and saw Belle's head at her feet, with eyes staring directly at her.

Epirius had dragged a blade from one of the soldier's sheaths and sliced Belle's head off, blood was everywhere and the lifeless body of the maid dropped dead as blood dripped from Epirius's sword.

Evie felt her chest tightened and she found it difficult to breathe. She broke down and her knees felt weak causing her to collapse right next to Belle's head.

Her hand was already covered in blood, and not knowing how she reached out and grabbed Belle's head as tears poured like rivers from her eyes.

"Be--Belle?" She called.

"Clean this shit up," Epirius ordered and threw the sword on the floor, it made a clanging noise and he cleaned his hands on one of the soldier's garments.

Evie's cry echoed in the courtroom and so did the cries of the frightened maids and slaves. Her dress and cloak were covered in blood as she wailed like a mother who had lost a child.

"You will be marrying General Sam tomorrow night and that is final," The King said, his voice had calmed down a little since he had satisfied his anger and shed blood.

"You are a monster," Evie said with clenched jaws. She used her hand and closed Belle's eyes. The General grabbed her by her hand and pulled her away for the maids and soldiers to clean up the corpse of her loyal maid and best friend.

Evie kept on wailing and throwing curses at her Father who was nonchalant as he kept on sipping his red wine as he watched them clean up the mess.

"Karma is real, you will reap what you sow you monster Epirius, you have lost the right to be called my Father!!" Evie cursed in rage.
