"Are you sick?" Xia, who was now wasted, asked, "Poor you. Come, Gina, let us go dance."
Lai watched in amusement as Xia took Gina's hand and walked to the tiny space in front of the room reserved for those who wanted to dance and show off their dance moves.
"So," she heard Manuel speak, leaning forward in his seat, "are you sick or something?"
"Something like that," Lai nodded, feeling Na's piercing gaze which screamed what-part-of-the-brown-haired-guy-is-mine-do-you-not-understand, "It's nothing serious, so don't mind me and enjoy yourselves!"

Lai quickly blurted out the last part as she continued to feel Na's gaze burning a hole in her skull.
'I'm sorry, Na,' Lai closed her eyes as she took a bite of her pasta, 'I am not trying to steal him from you or anything. He keeps talking to and eyeing me even though I am showing him that I'm not interested. Argh, I really wanna go home.'
