Escape and Accident

He then excused himself with an apologetic smile, leaving Lai with a sense of alarm.
Lai looked at the card, which turned out to be a VIP ticket, granting her special privileges and access to the secretive world of this illegal underground boxing ring known only to the city's elite.

The card symbolised his genuine interest and the intrigue she had sparked in him.
After he left, she quickly followed behind, as quiet as a mouse, as she passed crowds of masked men and women. She saw him step into a storage room.
The door was left slightly ajar, and to her horror, she saw something horrible.
