"What would you like for lunch?" he asked her with a sweet smile.
"Hmm," she stood up and grabbed her bag, "Would it be wrong to ask for a beef burger and chips?"
Bai's eyes widened at the request.
"So it is wrong?" Lai said sadly, seeing his reaction.
"Oh, no, it's not," Bai hurriedly stated upon seeing her sad expression, "I just didn't expect that request. Since the doctor has allowed you to start eating fried foods again, you can have your burger and chips."

"All right!" Lai clenched her hand into a triumphant fist, "Yes!"
"How about for dinner," Bai suggested with a smile, "we order fried chicken and have a little beer?"
"Can we?" Lai chimed, her amber eyes glinting with excitement and expectation.
Bai walked closer to her and stood before her. He brushed her brown hair behind her ears, smiling at her stunned, flushed face.
