Chapter 6

"Where are you taking me, Xander?!" I asked as he pulled me by my hand and started to walk without telling me where we were going. "Just come with me" He said as he kept on walking and I followed. Once we were on the top of a mountain like Xander stopped, by the time we reached it was already dark as  the moon was shining bright over our head with little stars twinkling around.

"Xander this..."

"I wanted to show you Our home" He said as he pulled me forwards and it was just the bestest view I have seen in my entire life. All the little houses had little lights on, as it were Christmas. The Houses had a warm feeling that even everyone could feel they're at home just by looking at them. "It's.... Beautiful" I mumbled under my breath as Xander held me by my waist, "This is going to be yours soon" He said. "You have to protect them Ariana. They'll depend on you".

"But....Xander. I....I don't think I can do this. I can't be a perfect Luna for them. I am weak" I said, trembling that I won't be able to take on the biggest responsibility he is offering me. "You're not weak. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for. It's just a matter of time when you realize how much you are."

"But..."

"Promise me you'll protect them. You'll protect our home."

"I...I promise" Xander pressed his head on mine as he smiled. "Thank you Arianna, For trusting me and my people. I promise you that these people will protect you too" He said as he planted a kiss on her forehead.

"Xander.."

"Hmm" He said, looking deep into my eyes as he could read me. He was so close to me that his scent was making me crazy and on top of that his touch.... I wanted more...More of him. "I wanna know about the ceremony" I asked, fighting hard to consume him.

He took a deep breath and sat on the grass, I followed too. "The ceremony is a ritual where two werewolves are mated for life. Under the mood goddess they take an oath of protecting each other and the pack. Then the moon goddess blesses the couple to be the Next King and the Queen with more powers. After all the rituals are done. They have to mate to link their power to create an unbreakable bond".

"This....", "I know it's too much for you. You don't have to worry about anything. Just leave it to me, You just have to be by my side for now. Let's get to know each other." He said as he took my hand on his and intervened his fingers with mine. I looked at him and slightly rested my head on his shoulders.

"Tell me about you" He asked all of a sudden. He raised my head to look at him and smiled, "There's nothing much about me..."

"My Father was the alpha of the moon pack. He was a great fighter and a great man. And when I was small, I remember he went on some work trips and never returned. Later, we found out that we died of cancer.... When they brought my dad back in a coffin, Mom told me he secretly went to get treatment...But died" A tear unknowingly slipped down my cheeks.

"I am sorry Arianna, '' Xander said as he wiped my tears with his thumb. "Don't be.. It happened a long time back" I smiled.

"What about your mom?"

"Mom.. After that incident. She took care of the pack and me all alone. She loves me the most" I said.

"I am glad. I would love to meet her some day." He said. I slowly closed my eye with a smile on my face. "She is very eager to meet you too" I said as I dozed off on his shoulder.

'Arianna'. I smiled as I looked at the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on and on top of that she is special, I can feel how special she is. A while ago, she was talking about herself and suddenly she dozed off on my shoulder, I smiled looking at her. How can someone be this beautiful and amazing at the same time plus a mere scent of her drives me insane.

A month ago, I had to go out for some business when I accidentally ended up at a bar. I was drinking alone as Tyler had gone to get some information when suddenly a sweet scent hit me. At first I thought it's nothing and douged the feeling off, but a while later the scent got more enchanting and the feelings inside of me stirred. I looked around to find the reason for that enchanting scent when I caught her eyes.

Those Green-ish eyes filled with confusion and pain. And at that moment it hit me. It's her.... 'My mate,' Ash shouted in my head. Ash was my wolf, he's a very ancient wolf and in our pack or our land, we have different wolves than that of normal one's. Our wolves come from our ancient bloodlines as their souls choose to get passed on to their own bloodlines so that they can get reborn with a new body and as the strongest of the wolf fights with the older leader it gets to rule the pack if they win. And Ash was one of the strongest anyone have seen so far.

But In Front of those eyes, Ash was like a love sick puppy in my head. I couldn't get him in control as i had to shut him out and try to focus on the situation Infront. I looked at her, her petite fragile body was about to give up as her friends tried to help up. As i read the situation clearly i knew what was happening. She was shifting... But like this? It isn't safe here. And at that moment the only thing i had in my mind was her safety. So i went near her held her in my arms, trying hard to ignore all those sparks I flew warning her friends not to follow.
