Happy and merry Christmas to you dearies, have a wonderful holiday

"That is not an option," Leonard declined glaring hard at the elder

"It is, there is no other way, this isn't the time for argument boy," Morbius said with conviction, Leonard had met many cold hearted men yet none of them held a candle to the savagery of Morbius, how could he mention sacrificing his mate so casually knowing exactly how miserable he would become after losing her?

"SHE'S GOING AFTER EVELYN!" Jeremy shouted, the skinwalker knowing she was the one to be branded with the mark of sacrifice quickly went after her, releasing her hellish flames from the sky on the unconscious girl who was scooped up by Leonard, dodging its flame and landing on the branch of a nearby tree.

"Don't be selfish boy, what is one life in comparison to millions?, If you haven't marked her yet, her death would hurt but it would be bearable, do your duty as a man to rid the world of this evil, kill the girl!" he ordered Leonard who chuckled at his words.

He could understand why the skinwalker hated the Elder, he was as cold as ice only viewing reality from his perspective, still, it didn't mean he was completely wrong, it's as the saying goes, the truth hurts, sacrificing Evelyn would undoubtedly end everything but how was he supposed to exist in a world without her?

The dragon roared in anger from its prey being taken from it, and at full speed, it descended towards Leonard who quickly leaped off the branch to avoid its rock-melting flames.

Cornered by the intensity of his feelings, he appeared to despise himself for being the slave of passion and quelling the dark tyranny of despair, he gazed up at the soaring dragon which seemed to be on a rampage burning everything in sight while Jeremy and Morbius evaded its attacks.

Taking in a deep breath he redirected his gaze back to evelyn gently placing her on the ground, it seems he was going to result to using a forbidden power that had almost killed him as a child, necromancy. It didn't matter to him, he was willing to do and take any risk to protect Evelyn.

"The lingering image of the dead show yourself, spirit reveal yourself, spirit come to me, I summon you with the power of darkness, Course unseen across the skies, come to me who call you near, come to me and settle here, blood to blood, I summon thee, blood to blood, flesh and bone, take me as your own so we may become one," he chanted his spell with his eyes closed, it was his last resort, a forbidden spell attributed only to him, it was the power to summon the dead and be possessed by them, a power that granted him unfathomable dark magic.

Ten seconds passed, and then twenty and thirty, and finally the intense pain started to coarse through his vein like poison, the ground beneath him trembled as the cries of the dead echoed through the forest.

"What is this?," Morbius asked Jeremy who like him had a look of shock, he hadn't seen this side of Leon until now, he stared at him confused, it was scenery from one wildest imagination, the screams of the dead were loud almost deafening, it was filled with hatred, pain, suffering, and damnation.

"Let us in"

"Flesh...Flesh, it's warm and alive,"

"Thirst, I thirst for blood,"

"Take me in, let us become one,"

"He's beautiful, his flesh can keep us warm from the freezing cold of death,"

"Yes, yes, beautiful one shelter our rotten souls with your radiance,"

Ghost surrounded Leon whispering words of damnation, they were numbered in hundreds, what was this magic?, Jeremy thought in amazement, there was no mistake, these were actual ghosts.

"What have you done Leon?," He muttered while Morbius stared in wonderment, he had lived for thousands of years but had never encountered dark magic such as this.

Leonard fell to his knees, his hands clutched against his chest writhing in pain, his head throbbed and his body burned like fire, Slowly, his sense started to send reports back to his brain, there were bruises, cuts, and scrapes around his body. he kept his eyes shut, not because he didn't want to see where he was, but he thought it would hurt too much to open them.

The raging dragon ceased its senseless attacks as it's attention was captured by the pile of decayed dead bodies rising from the dead.

Both Jeremy and Morbius staggered backwards from the rising corpses, it was a horrific sight, one straight out of a nightmare while he walked past the rows of moving dead bodies to be disposed of, the smell stink of a rotten corpse

"Nightmares, I'm going to have fucking nightmares!" He cursed as he wondered how bad his night going to be, mist raised slowly from the fields and cast an opaque veil over everything within eyesight, with the red sky the mist gave the impression at one moment of a calm, boundless sea, at the next of an immense white wall.

"Morbius if I don't return after sending that witch back to hell...do not hesitate to kill me," he told Morbius

"Hmm" he nodded in understanding, he could tell Leonard was about to draw in the souls into his body and fight alongside the moving corpse against the skinwalker, he was impressed by Leon's level of strength.

Leonard with a smile turned his back one last time to gaze at Evelyn as he closed his eyes "Such a troublesome little kitty," and in an instant, the surrounding souls possessed him with his eyes turning pitch black, it held the gaze of the abyss.

Quickly Jeremy and Morbius picked the unconscious students taking them far away from the battlefield, they could tell it was going to be a battle that would consume those within range.
