chapter 17 Nightmares

Alexa and Fred walked together to his house in absolute silence ; it was so thick you could almost cut it with a knife.

Am sorry,Alexa said as they entered the house.

Don't,please just don't,He said as he left her and headed to his room before closing the door with a loud thud luckily it was just the two fo them at home.

She stayed in the couch as she cried until she slept off.

She was in a deep slumber as she had a nightmare.

She was in a dark forest surrounded with nothing but dead trees .

She was walking deeper into the forest as she saw vampires fighting with the witches.

In the mist of them all she saw her dad,was her dad not dead?,what was happening to her?,she thought.

She kept on watching the fight and saw that a specific vampire who had a very chilling aura betrayed her dad and stabbed him in the chest through his back.

As she saw that her heart immediately stopped beating as she fell on the floor and watched him try to escape but was stabbed again.

She crawled to where her father was as she screamed .

Dad,Dad wake up,She yelled.

Please open your eyes,she added as she started crying.

But suddenly she woke up as something wet touched her face.

She opened her eyes slowly and saw Fred in front of her looking all concerned.

She felt damp , her body was wet as she was sweating.

What wrong?,He asked as she finally opened her eyes.

She hugged him as she was terrified , he hugged her back not minding her sweat.

Its ok,don't worry...,am here okay,he said reassuring her .

she slowly let go of him as she breathed heavily before saying .

"water please",her voice hoarse due to her screaming .

He immediately went to get water for her before coming to give her,she drank slowly as her breathing cooled down.

Am sorry i got mad at you,if i was being so childish..you wouldn't be in this condition now,He said mad at himself.

Its not your fault,am sorry you saw fred and i together,he came there and pinned me to the wall , i tried to talk sense into him but he just didn't want to listen to me,She said crying.

Am sorry,she said again.

Am also sorry,He said as he cupped her cheek and placed his head on her forehead.

Let's go to my room,He added as he picked her up and carried her to his room.

So wanna talk about your nightmare,He said still concerned about her.

No,i don't want to,she said her voice shaking.

When your ready you can tell me,i won't force you,don't cry ,he said as he cleaned her tears wuth his thumb.

come lets sleep,he said as he lied down and told her to lie down also.

She lied down on his bare chest as he held her closer until she was on top of him,she drifted off to sleep quickly as she was having company.

She was sleeping peacefully .....;spoke too soon .she had another night mare.

This one felt so real,She had an encounter with a witch.

Alexa ,lets form a team,the witch said.

We can get revenge for our father,she added.

wh-what are you saying,she starmmered as she was scared.

Your dad was the strongest vampire warrior was though he fought for the vampires ,he had foes too,The witch said.

What is the meaning of this,i didn't use to have this nightmares,Alexa said still scared but she controlled her emotions quite well.

Ayden's father killed your dad,she said seriously.

If you want to know more the chain in your hands will lead you to me,she added.

she loooked at her hands in shock as she didn't remember wearing a chain on her hand

Stop it,she said as she closed her ears.

Alexa,Alexa wake up,Fred said then she finally woke up.

She stood up from his body and went to the bathroom....she was so devastated...she didnt know what was happening.

She went to wash her face when suddenly she saw a chain bound to her hand.

it was the same chain given to her by the witch in her nightmare.

she tried to take off the chain but it was of no use ,as she kept on trying to remove it ,she noticed something strange about it.

It was getting hot and burning her skin and at the same time emitting a golden colour which turned to dust.
