The Lotus Girl

Haru slept in her bed as the peaceful sea and wind was heard through the windows of the cottage as Ryan looked over her watching her sleep. She was really beautiful as he wondered how long had she been here all by herself, and how long has she been tending to the lotus flowers. He got up carefully walking back to the sofa as he laid down pulling the covers over himself and getting comfortable on the pillow. He heard her soft hums as she was cuddling into her blankets with a peaceful expression on her face.

Ryan closed his eyes allowing sleep to take over while there was a soft breeze in the night sky outside. The next morning Haru cooked breakfast in the kitchen as Ryan yawned sitting up smelling the breakfast in the air. He looked over seeing Haru put two plates with bacon, eggs, toast, and sausages on the table as he carefully got up rubbing his hair. "Good morning Ryan" She said softly sitting down

"good morning.." He yawned a bit sitting down and getting his plate of breakfast. Haru sat down getting a toast and eating it before getting a utensil and eating it enjoying her breakfast as Ryan started eating the eggs and sausages together. The taste was amazing as he licked his lips continuing to eat some sausages and eggs. "This is great u would make a great wife"

"Huh?.. No I wouldn't besides I'm not marriageable" She said softly eating some toast and enjoying the taste. He raised a brow but didn't say anything as he continued eating his breakfast silence between the two. As they finished eating breakfast Ryan decided to clean up since Haru made the breakfast for them. As he finished cleaning he walked out the cottage to see her watering her lotus flowers and tending to them as he looked around the garden. "Ryan mind getting more water?"

"Oh yes of course" He said walking on over to the side of the cottage and getting another watering canteen filling it with water. Walking over he gave her the canteen as she gently took it watering the lotus flowers. Watching her take care of the lotus flowers was really calming as he saw her gently pour water over them. Touching his side Ryan looked at the lotus flowers as he remembered her putting a lotus petal on his wound before patching him back up. Remembering what she said after made him upset as she stood up. "Hey have u thought about u know closing off ur island?"

"I cant do that I don't have the power to do" She said looking at the sea. She didn't want to do so because it required too much power for her. Haru walked over to the other side of her garden as she grabbed a basket setting it aside and harnessing some watermelons and to her surprise Ryan helped out as well as she smiled a bit. "why thx u Ryan u might not be so bad after all"

"What is that supposed to mean?" He asked looking over to her

Haru paid no mind as she continued harnessing watermelons putting them in the baskets. She grabbed one easily splitting it open as he was surprised but wasn't considering she had blown him off her island which got him thinking about that as he walked over and kneeled by her. She held a watermelon slice to him as he gladly took it eating the slice looking over the water ahead as Haru started eating a slice herself.

"Hey I was wondering do u have like powers?" He asked looking at her as she looked at her watermelon slice. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything about that but he could see she wasn't upset about the question and looked more like she was contemplating on whether to say anything or not. Harus eyes viewed the sky as she thought carefully on what to say so far she had a little trust in him and he hadn't done anything to her or the garden. "Haru?"

"I'm sorry ill answer u another time" She said before eating her watermelon slice

"That's alright no worry" He said softly  he wasn't going to push it by demanding an answer so he continued enjoying the watermelon. The breeze blew gently as Haru looked ahead at the water with the sun shining on the surface of the water. It was a beautiful sight as she took Ryan's hand getting up and pulling him along as he had no arguments and followed. "Haru??"

"Go on up this later" She said softly standing aside the ladder

"Uhm okay" He said getting up the ladder

Upon reaching the top his breath was stolen away the view on the cottage roof was absolutely breath taking. Haru soon joined standing by him on the roof as the wind blew her hair gently enjoying the view in top of her cottage. She looked at the magnificent view as Ryan was still amazed by the view due to the expression of his face. "Like the view Ryan"

He didn't say anything as his jaw was dropped by the view and she giggled a bit sitting down as he was then brought to reality but his words a bit gibberish trying to say something to her. She smiled taking his hand and sitting him down as he just sat there looking at the amazing view of the sea and sky and the sun shining on the water surface.

"Haru this view is amazing" He said looking ahead

"Thx u I like coming up here to relax when no bandits come and try and steal my lotus flowers" She said softly

"I can tell its breathtaking and relaxing" He said calmly

His hand landed on hers as she looked over to him smiling a bit as she turned back to the view with a gentle breeze blowing. Far off ahead in the ocean a boat was coming to the island with a dozen passengers as they set off to the island but what they didn't expect was that the island was guarded by now The Lotus Girl Haru and Ryan her newest companion and possible lover.
