The Lotus Girl

Ryan opened his eyes as he began to sit up before grunting a bit holding his side seeing he was patched up. The door opened as he looked over seeing her walk in with a bucket of water and setting it down on the side as she carefully undid the bandages around his chest. "u did the most stupidest thing a human can do" She said looking at him

"Hey but ur patching me up now aren't u sweetheart" He said as she smacked a eggplant in his mouth before continuing to do his patch work. All he did was put the eggplant to the side as he notice her take a lotus petal and gently put it on his bullet wound before patching him back up. "Is that a lotus petal?"

"It is.." She began getting up and taking the bloody bandages and bucket of water. She walked out the house as he touched his side looking out the window seeing her tending to her flowers outside. He carefully got up and put his shirt on with ease as he walked out looking at the garden. It was really beautiful more beautiful than he could imagine. "tell me why did u do that?"

"isn't it obvious this garden is beautiful with u dead the garden would've perished" He said looking at the garden it was a truly breathtaking sight and he really did come to see the beauty of it. Haru looked at him as he was stretching out before holding his side with a grunt. "well that hurt"

"should be more careful u know u are wounded" She said getting up and walking inside her Cottage. She went to her kitchen as she started getting some strawberries to eat. Her eyes averted to the window as she watched the man named Ryan gazing at her garden. He didn't try anything or do anything to her garden. Even though he was alone did he truly not want to harm her lotuses.

She started taking out the strawberries outside as he looked over seeing her offer some to him. He gratefully took one eating it as she sat on a bench nearby gazing at the sea before eating a strawberry. There was a long silence between the two with nothing but the sea and the gently wind being heard around. "U can stay as long as u want" She finally spoke

"Oh?" He began

"Just don't make me regret letting u stay" She said eating another strawberry. He smiled sitting right by her as she moved to the side a bit. The two sat there enjoying the wind and the sound of the sea while enjoying the freshly plucked strawberries. "Say how was my garden found out?"

"Hmm I don't know I just heard rumors and such, But I wanted to come to see the beauty of it least expecting another group being here around the time I was here" He said looking at the ocean as he ate his strawberry enjoying it while she looked at him only seeing sincerity in his eyes. Her eyes went to the ocean as the previous days before gazing at the endless sea for any signs of people or anything. "U know u are cute"

"W-what??..Don't try to earn brownie points with me!" She spat getting up and walking on inside the cottage as he looked at her smiling. She was so his type as he ate the strawberry in his hand enjoying it. Haru looked out her window her face a bit red she was stuck with a flirtatious human who was trying to be a charmer. She then looked around her cottage realizing she had only one bed as she started thinking of what to do.

Ryan then walked in as she was lost in thought looking around her cottage. He raised a brow walking up to her as he waved his hand up in front of her. She jumped a bit looking at him a bit surprised. "lost in thought?"

"oh uhm well realizing that I asked u to stay I only have one bed" She said looking at her bed as he looked at her bed and started thinking as well. He wouldn't have minded laying with her but figured that she might be too uncomfortable with the idea being that she just meet him and everything. 

"well u can sleep in ur bed ill sleep on the sofa here" He said pointing out the sofa. She looked at him before looking at her sofa it didn't look that comfy but if he was okay with it then it was fine. Haru walked to her cabinet and opened it up taking out a clean folded blanket and pillows putting them on the sofa for tonight.

"just don't stare at me at night got it" She said looking at him

"cant guarantee that u are beautiful" He said looking at her

Her face went a bit red as she walked out her cottage to take care of her garden. She took her water canteen filling it with water as she then started to water her lotus flowers enjoying the breeze. Ryan walked out the cottage as well watching her water her lotus flowers as he touched his side gazing at her.

"Hey can I ask u something?" He asked holding his side

"What ur bullet wound hurts?" She asked looking at him before putting her water canteen back

"No why did u put a lotus petal on my wound before patching me up?" He asked looking at her

She fell silent as she looked at the water ahead as the wind blew gently blowing her hair along with the breeze. She didn't know if she should tell him or if she should keep quiet about it. She didn't want to wake up the next day and see her garden totally vacant and empty without any flower to see. But she took a deep breath in looking at him as he sat down ready to listen.

"U see my lotus flowers have healing properties to them, and I've never mentioned anything about it because there are always people out there who want to take them and sell them" She said looking at the sea ahead her words true about her flowers. She was really hating the human world for their selfishness and their greed for wanting something that was in the unknown factor. But they had to be cared for and needed to be carefully produced or they wouldn't be as effective or would be damaged if not careful.

"That's why people come here for ur flowers?" He said looking at her

"yes and I hate it they're all monsters" She said with a bitter tone "I hate all of them"

"how about I help u take care if ur garden" He said looking at her as she surprisingly looked at him thinking he might be trying to pull something. But he looked genuine and true to his word as she looked at her flowers before looking back at him seeing a hand extended to her. "Promise I'm true to my word"

She looked at his hand before thinking a bit before hesitantly taking his hand. He smiled as she smiled back for the first time there was someone who didn't want to do something to her garden or her and the proof was the bullet wound on his side.

"Ill look forward to ur word Ryan" She said with a smile
