"Park Soo-Ha... Overall evaluation A, Rank 6th Place!"

Soo-Ha hadn't expected to be ranked so high, just for setting the mood.

What Soo-Ha forgot to include in his assessment though, was the effect of his face.

The ugly truth was that Soo-Ha was experiencing the phenomenon known as pretty privilege.

If someone, is easy on the eyes, the enjoyment we derive from looking at them colours our perceptions of their other attributes.

On the flip side, this colouring of perception also leads to higher expectations. The so-called beauty penalty.

People tend to also have very high expectations as a result of looks, so when they fail to live up to those expectations, they're punished more harshly than un-pretty people.

Soo-Ha didn't know but with the raise in expectations from judges, any mistake going forward would be penalised brutally.

Thankfully, he had a certain 'skill' which would allow him to meet and exceed any expectations going forward.

"I hope to teach you well, so aim even higher next time"

The choreographer says with mischievous smile plastered on his face.

Soo-Ha knew the weight of expectations, and was certain that his attitude would switch at the drop of the hat, if he didn't get better.

Bowing his head once again, he quickly heads to his seat which is located in behind the judges in a pyramid like formation.

The higher you ranked, the more luxurious and comfortable the seat.

This created and instilled a sense of superiority from the get-go.

The 6th Place seat, was similar to a leather chair that a high-profile corporate executive would have in his office.

While the No.1 position was similar to a throne and the 101st seat the equivalent to a wooden stool.

Sooho felt slighty pressured, knowing that he would have to give up his seat repeatedly over the next hour to middle and high schoolers.

Once Soo-Ha sat down, he was quickly greeted by the contestant next to him in 5th.

On first glance, he seemed to be around his age.

"Hello..."

"Hey"

"Your singing was really good bro"

"Thanks. You too, seemed like you did really well too" Soo-Ha says vaguely, he could not offer a direct praise as to the fact that he didn't see his performance, but given that his ranking was so high. It was clear that he was impressive.

"Yeah...? Ahaha" As the contestant laughs out loud, he points to his name tag.

"My name's Lee Soobin"

"....!"

Hearing the name again seems to trigger a hidden memory, as Soo-Ha hastily composes himself.

"I am Park Soo-Ha. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too"

As the conversation ends naturally, due to the next contestant having been called out.

Soo-Ha's goes back to thinking of the name, which he had heard.

Lee Soobin.

Undoubtedly its him.

He was definitely one of the contestants that would debut in the final group line-up.

Sticking close to him on the program, would definitely ensure sufficient screen time.

But there was a problem.

This guy, would be one of the reasons that the 3-year contract would go up in dust.

Whether natural or unnatural, after the fixing allegations behind the program came to light, so did Lee Soobin's past.

He was a school bully, and not the normal – oh it was just kids pranks kind.

The dude literally ran his high school and caused a kid to commit suicide.

It seemed that his family was pretty well connected so eventually he made a comeback and was pretty popular for a while, but unfortunately for him, it didn't stop there.

Not long after, he was embroiled in drug scandal. And he was the distributor too.

Given that this is Korea, and money literally ran the country, he never spent any jail time but his career as an Idol was finished at the age of 22.

Soo-Ha pictures, the cheap restaurant near his one room apartment, where he was eating as the TV anchor's voice is heard through the worn-out speakers.
