CHAPTER 8
A bride stood on the precipice of a life-altering decision. Gazing out of the window, she sensed an overwhelming feeling of unease. Doubts swirled within her mind, whispering of a life not meant for her.
"So what have you decided Ruhi," said Rosé, leaning against the wall with her arms folded across her chest right opposite me, Jennie sitting on the couch with her legs crossed on the table and dress riding up to her thighs...hm sexy
Everyone's attention's now on me
"Umm did I say it too loud," I asked
"No, you didn't but were you just checking out Jennie Unnie?" Lisa said with one eyebrow raised, I cleared my throat and started walking back and forth in the room,
"Oh god Ru just stop, We will be going with you, just say yes," said Jisoo impatiently,
"We?" I asked puzzled, cuz there's no way they are coming with us.
"Our parents aren't any different from yours Ru," said Jennie
Rosé: Trust your instincts, Ruhi. Life is too short to settle for anything less than extraordinary.
Lisa: We won't let anyone force you into something you don't want. Family comes first, always.
Eunji: This is your chance for a fresh start, Don't look back and have any regrets.
"Ladies, it will be better if you guys hurry up. It's getting late." my mom shouted from outside of my room, one of the Jungkook's men standing beside her
"Aunty Ruhi is having some stomach problems, and It's going to take at least 2 hours" Jisoo shouted back, no way she said that just when he was ready to leave from here,
No...he will tell Jungkook about this, no I can't let this happen.
"NO MOMWAYSHBJDJKF" Someone's hand was on my mouth and that's when they all started dragging me into the bathroom.
"Stop!"
We turned around and there she was my mother 'inside the room'
I smoothed my dress nervously.
Eunji shook her head. "She is sick can't you see? Who sent you anyway? Dad
"I want to make sure you know what's expected of you."
"Expected of her?" Eunji hissed. "What about what she wants?"
"It's what it is, , I'll steal you some time so hurry up," Mom said with a sad smile.
and that's when they all started dragging me into the bathroom.
"MOM!, I THINK NOONA IS SUFFERING FROM LOOSE MOTIONS"
No, no, no, no, nothing can't be worse than this,
"Stop moving girl It's the perfect opportunity for us to fool them?" said Rosé
I started shaking my head rapidly, glaring at them non-stop, but they didn't let me go until that guy and mom left from there,
Jisoo: What's your plan now? Where will you go?
" I've been thinking about this. I have a small cottage in the countryside that our grandmother once told us about, she is dead now. Except for me, Eunji, and Lisa no one knows about it, Let's head there." i said
" Guys we don't have much time now everything you need, clothes, important documents, pack it now? said Jennie
" I'll pack some essentials, for me and Yeonjun," said Lisa taking out a little bag from the closet
" I can take care of the logistics. We'll make sure everything goes smoothly," said Eunji
"No we will take care of that, You go and help them in packing and stuff" said Jisoo she nodded
"ok so listen up Ru this, We'll need a well-crafted plan, logistics to consider, and a support network in place. This can't be a rash decision" said Jisoo
We huddled together, brainstorming ideas and speaking in hushed tones, our mission blossoms into a daring plan that included secret messages, decoys, and an intricately planned escape route.
"So everyone's ready," asked Jisoo, we all nodded
"Remember no mistakes, one of the workers will drop our luggage near the servant's quarters, We all are going to stay here and distract others, We can't let anyone enter the room of Ruhi, while we will stay here she will wait for us in the servants quarters, you all just have to wait for my signal and one by one we all will gather in her room except Jennie she's going to be there playing the main part of the plan, from there Rosé will take you to Ru, I will make sure no one sees you when Jennie will be in the room, we will meet you in the underground tunnels" Jisoo explained the whole plan is details, she somehow managed to get the map of this place from her father's room who works with Jungkook surprisingly.
"Can I go with Ruhi first?" asked Eunji
"No, if you'll stay downstairs in front of everyone, no one will doubt us," said Jennie
"How? Eunji is always with Ru, they both always stay together"
"Exactly they both stay together, so if Eunji stays here with us, everyone will never think that the bride ran away," explained Rosé
"ohh" exclaimed Lisa and Eunji in Unison
"What about me noona, What is my mission" exclaimed Yeonjun who had been silent all along
I went down on my knees and took his small hands in mine
"You just have to stay with Lisa, don't go anywhere alright Just stay with her OK" he nodded
"This is the map of the palace since we can't carry it with us, you take it with yourself," said Rosé
"OK Ruhi, so right after 10 minutes from now, you will leave from here, arraseo!"
"ye" I nodded
I looked at myself in the mirror one more time, i could feel the nervous flutter of butterflies in my stomach as I took a deep breath and looked at myself in the mirror, adorned in a white gown. It's my wedding day, but the bride won't be here for it to take place,
"All alright, alright let's do a group hug now i am nervous" Said Lisa pulling everyone in a hug
"Godd Lisa take it easy you are squeezing the shit out of me," said Jennie, trying to pull back, making everyone laugh.
"its time guys, let's leave" exclaimed Eunji giving me an encouraging nod, i nodded back in response,
"Be careful Ru" said Jennie while hugging me, Rosé patted my back, and with a last nod in my direction they all left one by one.
Jisoo Pov:
"ok so make sure to maintain an air of normalcy, mingling with the guests and participating in the festivities, That's all we have to do" I said, I looked at Rosé
"I have to engage with other ladies and divert their attention, especially Ruhi's mom" said Rosé, i nodded, I looked at Jennie
"start a captivating dance, draw all attention to me , enchanting the guests and diverting their gaze." Jennie spoke
"and you three just have to stop everyone from going in the direction of her room" they nodded.
"Ok let's do it"
