The Tale of Mary, The Necromancer, Part Six

The soft glow of the television cast flickering shadows across the dimly lit living room as Vee settled onto the couch, her eyes fixed on the screen. The muted colors of the movie danced across her features, illuminating the room with a gentle warmth.

From her vantage point behind the wall, Mary watched silently, her heart heavy with a mixture of longing and uncertainty. She couldn't tear her eyes away from Vee, her gaze lingering on the woman who had become her companion in this strange and unfamiliar journey.

Mary winced at the admission, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
