Quest For System Update

Arthur's eyes widened in shock at what the system was telling him.His body wouldn't be able to withstand the power?.Did it mean the boost would be large or what.

Arthur sat crossed legged for almost 10 minutes pondering on what to do."Physical training?...but isn't my body already enough"

[And here I thought you were using those intelligent points]

"Shut the fuck up!".Sometimes the system really knew how to get on his nerves.The system would refuse to talk to him and would only chime in to not express any idea but hurl insults at him.

This in turn would make Arthur curse it.Just as he was about to ask for help from the system a thought struck him"I never actually trained for this body in the first place....".

[Exactly.This body was just to help you withstand the limitless system]

"I see that now..."Arthur stood up and kept pacing back and forth contemplating on where to start.

[If you want to breakthrough you must first update your system]

"Update!But how".If the system was in a human form and was standing next to him,he would have punched it in the face.The system talks less and always expects him to know everything.

[By absorbing beast cores of any rank,well I'll be the one absorbing it you just have to get them for me]

"How come you didn't absorb the one I had"

[Oh I did.Although I left some for you]

"I really wish I could punch you in the face you stupid system".Once again the system had successfully annoyed him.The system this time around didn't reply to his bickering and continued with it's explanation.

[20 Beast cores will do just fine]

"What!!!".Arthur felt like the system was playing some kind of a joke on him.The last time he almost died just battling against one and this time around it wants him to battle 20 to obtain their cores.

Twenty was just an insane number for him but he knew nevertheless if he wanted to grow stronger he would have to accomplish the task the system had given him."The fight between Miss Jade and that guy is about to start...I need to get stronger"

Although Arthur was determined to fight against those beasts,he didn't know where to start from.At that time Miss Jade was the one that had sent him there."of course Miss Jade!"

Arthur decided if Miss Jade came back he would ask her to let him fight rank 1 beasts.Since he couldn't channel his ability in the meantime,he decided to just practice his skills and know the right time of executing them.

He didn't want what happened to him last time to happen again.This time around he would go in prepared.It was already getting late and Miss Jade was probably of her way since her lessons started in the afternoon and the academy closed around 4.

After some few hours had passed Miss Jade arrived at the dojo and could see Arthur still training.She felt glad at the progress he had made.

"You mean it!".Miss Jade spat out the food that had been in her mouth.She couldn't believe what she had just heard Arthur request.

"Yes Miss Jade,I'm really serious about it".Seeing the determined expression he carried she couldn't refuse his request and the nodded."Alright but I think you will need a stronger weapon this time".

"Huh?".Miss Jade stood up and walked out of the room they were in turning her direction towards a certain area.When she finally reached there she pushed the door to the side and entered.

Right before her eyes were weapons and so many of them.With most of them being a katana.There was also a longsword,a greatsword,Sickles and some few spears available.

She walked forward and grabbed hold of a certain katana blade.The hilt of the blade had a strange engraving on it,what made the guard distinct was its thickness which were only made for katana's with powerful attacks.

The blade of the katana was black and the edge of the blade was extremely sharp.

She placed the katana back in it's sheath and walked out of what looked like a weapon vault."Take this as your new weapon since you broke that golden dagger".

She threw it towards Arthur who immediately caught it with little effort.Arthur grabbed the hilt of the katana and slowly pulled it out witnessing how beautiful it's design was.

"Ohh"Arthur raised his head to stare at Miss Jade with excitement"You gave me a rank 1 awakened weapon".Miss Jade could feel the excitement in Arthur's voice as he spoke.

Awakened weapons were ones which carried either an active or passive skill like the one Arthur had received.They were much more powerful and unique than your average normal weapon.

Lets say you have two weapons both in the same rank,one being an awakened and the other being a normal weapon.The normal weapon could never compare in strength to the awakened ones because of the possession of skills.

Awakened weapons always carried deadly skills and anyone who had had an encounter with it could never refute this fact.Due to this Arthur felt extremely excited and did something he had never expected himself to do before.

Arthur's body shot up and walked towards Miss Jade throwing his arms around her hour glass shaped body.Miss Jade was taken aback but smiled and patted his hair hugging him back"I knew you would like it.You're a battle freak".

Next Day

"Are you ready"

"I was born ready Miss Jade".Miss Jade smiled at his thirst for battle and grabbed hold of him vanishing from where she stood.

"The fuck!!!".Since Miss Jade and Arthur weren't inside the dojo when they vanished an awakened who happened to be passing by saw what happened and yelled in shock.It wasn't everyday that you saw an awakened with such an ability.

Arthur and Miss Jade appeared once again in the outer region of the beast forest,this around they appeared on the ground and not on some tree up high in the sky."Miss Jade why do you always hold me up like this".

Once again Arthur had been held in a position one would think he's about to get spanked and this wasn't just the first time she has held him like this

"You grabbed my precious boobs and then broke my precious golden dagger".Whiles making this statement miss Jade had an evil smile plastered on her face with her other hand slightly placed in her boobs.

"Fair enough".He just couldn't complain whenever it had something to do with this woman.

"Now that I wasn't taken by surprise I realize it's not an ability....it's her pure speed that makes it seem like she vanished".The discovery Arthur made whiles Miss Jade was bringing here blew his mind.

How could one process such monstrous speed to the extent it makes one see it as a teleportation ability of some sort."She's truly a freakish monster"He said internally.

"You said you wanted to challenge 20 beasts before we began our challenge with that guy right?".

Of course Arthur didn't tell her the truth.He acted determined and lied about the whole reason why he was doing this.He couldn't risk revealing the existence of the system to anyone not even miss Jade.

"Yes".Arthur stood beside miss Jade with his black Sky katana griped tightly.Miss Jade refused to give him any armour with some lame excuse on how he had to toughen up the body.

"Well then here's your first rank 1 beast".

Standing Infront of them proudly was a black panther.Its height wasn't that impressive but it's size was rather convincing.On it's body were strange purple patterns which would glow and dim down.

Miss Jade vanished once again leaving him alone.When Arthur saw the beast Infront of him he couldn't help but smile."This time around I'm not going to hold back".

Growl!!!!

The beast felt the human Infront of it was quite powerful and didn't let it's guard down occasionally growling here and there.

[Dash activated]

Arthur took a stance and without hesitation dashed towards the beast slashing through the air from below to which the beast dodged moving to its side.
