A Rank Above The Origin

That day Miss Rouge had decided not to even try establishing any sort of communication with Arthur until he leaves Ember Academy.She couldn't be seen as an enemy of the one known as the War Empress.

"Hmm...I honestly don't know if you will come out on top but sure I could send it to the beast forest and this time around I will show you the way....your persistent urge for battle is sometimes wow".

Miss Jade said facepalming as Arthur stood Infront of her with an expression many wouldn't think he would ever make."Thank you Miss Jade".

"Just stop looking at me with those eyes or else how could I refuse you".It was really astounding how the mother-son relationship between Miss Jade and Arthur had greatly improved.

Even though both shared many secrets that they were not yet willing to tell to each other.Without delaying Arthur got dressed into a decent combat suit.One thing he had learnt the most was never underestimate your opponent.

He may have done it with origin ranked beasts but not a prime ranked beast.The Prime rank although not having a larger gap in boost compared to the origin rank could still be said to be a league above the origin rank.

When saying this Miss Jade was particularly staring at his expression."Sure sure Miss Jade". Arthur made a "not going to comply" kinda expression to which Miss Jade smacked him on the head.

"Some times I wonder who's more of a beast,her or those terrifying beasts themselves".

"And she didn't even bring me straight to where a beast is...I'll have to search for one".

This was a way one could use to sense the presence of a beast.By relying heavily on your perception one could directly develop the sense of awareness which he/she could use to sense a beasts aura.

However for one to achieve this,that said individual had to have a higher perception advantage.And Unlike humans,even beasts that had entered the transcendent ranks could be sensed.

Beasts were one that emitted a powerful aura be it a rank one beasts or a rank 8 beast.Arthur kept walking through the outer circle of the beast forest until he stumbled upon a lake which gave out a very warmth aura.

"The essence here for channelling one's ability is very refined".Arthur said internally examining the energy that was seemingly seeping out of the lake.

Arthur's tranquil moment was suddenly disrupted when his senses picked up on something.His body instinctively took a step backwards.

Following his body's will Arthur took some few paces back and when he did he witnessed a huge black scaled alligator emerging from within the lake.

It's size was nothing to scoff at.Its measurement could be compared to that of a modern hover car.It stared at the human Infront of it and opened its jaws revealing it's several razor sharp teeth.

"That's a rank 2 black scaled alligator...their teeth are as hard as steel".Arthur took a stance as he inwardly voiced out his observations.It was never too late to be prepared for anything.

The alligator raised it's long whip like tail up launching several black spikes from within.

The black spikes came in fast,something Arthur didn't expect but that didn't mean he was not strong enough to dodge them.

Arthur's body began rotating at a speed an average origin rank awakened couldn't even follow.Arthur dashed forward having been able to dodge it's black spikes.The alligator beast released it's blackish aura stopping Arthur in his tracks.

"To think this rank 2 beast would have such a low bloodline purity,but it still paralysed me...gotta give it credits for that, however".How could he sense the bloodline purity of a beast you would ask?Quite simple actually.

Having attained something that only beasts had access to,he could directly sense the purity level of strength a beast had although he was still shocked when he found out this black Alligator had a bloodline.

Bloodline as it was,had only been said to be something only beasts could achieve however the case was,not every beast could have a bloodline.Although most did

A faint crimson aura could be seen seeping out of his body eventually glowing brighter until it enveloped his body.

"Your bloodline can't even hold a candle to mine...know your place!".

His aura exploded out covering up the back aura the beast alligator was releasing.The black scaled alligator instinctively took a step back,its whole body was brimming with fear.It knew from the bloodline explosion that the human exhibited it stood no match against him.

One thing that still confused it though was how a human was able to have a bloodline in the first place.It was a smart beast hence it didn't want to find out or even continue it's fight with the human.

Out of fear it turned it's body in hopes of diving back into the lake to continue it's channelling however....

"I need your core and I'll be damned if I let you escape".

Arthur's expression immediately turned into a fiery one.A small portal opened beside him .Without hesitation he reached into the portal and grabbed onto something pulling it out.

This was his black sky katana.The amazing rank 1 awakened weapon he received during the time he had decided to go on a quest to update his system.

He pulled it out with his hand tightly griped around the hilt pointing it towards the alligator beast.Why had the human refused it's escape?,the black alligator although afraid of the human had no choice but to fight him

With that Arthur thrusted the sword forward toward the head of the black alligator beast which swung it's tail to defend against it's unprotected head.

"Truly hard indeed".Arthur was in awe at how the active skill of the katana couldn't pierce it's body."Show me the strength of a rank 2 beast!!"

This was it,Arthur was getting the thrill.This scream and the expression said it all,it was a character of his that revealed itself whenever he was fighting an enemy that felt stronger for him.
