Practice

There was not much I could do. I had already asked everyone I knew if they could help me but it proved fruitless. Their methods used too much mana, it was focused on firepower and speed. My only option was to practice on my own.

The month I had spent practicing to cast spells with the newly learnt method. Everyday has been spent exhausting my mana. At the beginning it took me 10 seconds to cast a spell. But after two weeks I got it down to 3 seconds. When my mana was exhausted I spent that time training my body. This had minimal results.

With this in mind I spent the last week practicing magic and revising for the written test.

The day had come. I have gone to the nearest teleportation circle. That was the only allowed way for students to reach the school situated on a floating island far from the main city. Any other method like flying would result in the student being expelled. This is due to the closing of the air space during the exam.
