CHAPTER TEN

Ken arrived in front of room 6, and he knocked on the door. "Come in," said a female voice. When Ken heard the voice, he found it familiar and opened the door, entering the room he was surprised to find both Rock and Kira in the room, who was looking at him with a mischievous smile.

"Surprised?" asked Kira, to which Ken answered."Yes, what are you two doing here?" As he sat down on the empty chair in the room opposite Kira and Rock. "Well, don't be surprised because both of us are teaching in this school from on, and you will see me every day," said Kira while smiling at Ken, who also had a smile on his face. Rock looked at Ken with a stoic look and asked, "How is the hostel you are being given, and how are your roommates?".

"The hostel is okay, and my roommates are fine, but I don't know them fully, so I can't say much about them just their names," Ken said that he though 'I haven't the status of my roommates maybe I will do that tonight when we are all complete in the room, I need to know who I should be wary of among them' then he nodded to Rock who also nods back. Kira then said, " Well, there is nothing I can ask you must be careful and be mindful of your environment. Don't hesitate to call me, OK?" With a serious face, "okay," replied Ken, nodding his head before standing up to leave the room. He looked at Rock and nodded at him before walking out.

"Why didn't you ask him the necessary questions?" asked Rock at Kira in a stern voice, "Well I felt it wasn't necessary before he was weak, and how can he kill someone far stronger than him?" said Kira in a calm voice, which makes Rock shake his head while saying, "Do not judge him with common sense, and you said yourself that he has been training for the past 3 months after we meet him for the first time".

Kira nodded quietly while saying "OK I will never repeat the mistake," Rock replied, "Good, can you call the next participant so we can get over this already" as he relaxed on the chair, "okay" said Kira as she checks the list and calls the next to come to the room.

After Ken left the room, he heard Ronin's voice in his head.

[The guy is suspicious of you] said Ronin.

"I know, but he can never catch me if that is what he thinks," said Ken with a sneer on his face.

[Better, you must stay low until the mana awakening happens because, without mana, you are a weak assassin. The reason you were successful last night is that those guys were concentrated on something else entirely, so you must stay quiet] said Ronin in a stern voice.

"Okay, okay, I understand, and besides, I don't have any target for now, so I will just keep training while waiting for the mana awakening," said Ken while walking to the hall to meet his roommates who were already waiting for him.

"Hey, Ken over here," shouted Blaze while waving his hand at Ken, who just entered the hall. Ken arrived in the corner, where his roommates were standing and heard them say that "So what are we still waiting for now?" asked Blaze while playing with his hair."I don't know, maybe there is some information they want to pass to us," said David as he pushed his glass. "Why are you always pushing your glasses? Is that some kind of habit because I think it is weird," said Blaze in curiosity.

"Ignorant fool, this is a way of keeping focused," said David as he pushed his glass again. "There you go again," said Blaze while shaking his again, "Bastard, do you need a beating because if yes, I'm sure ready to give you a hell of it," said David as he rolled up his sleeves and walked towards Blaze "really, my hand has been itching to beat someone for over a week now," said Blaze as he also rolls up his sleeves as well.

Bam bam

"Ouch, what was that for?" asked Blaze in anger as he rubbed his head while looking at Ken, who was dusting his hand, David also looked at Ken with a questioning face as well. "Stop behaving like a child, and don't you know that the whole hall is watching you," said Ken as he folds his hand while looking at them.

Both Blaze and David looked around the hall and saw that everyone was looking at them, which made them turn away in embarrassment, "now will both of you keep and wait until we return to the room before settling it among yourself" said Ken as he tried to keep his laughter. "Don't you dare you to laugh at us," said Blaze in anger as he walked to Ken, punching him but to bad luck, Ken evaded and tripped him which made him fall directly to the floor and caused a chain of laughter in the hall.

Blaze stood up and stared at Ken before harrumphing and left the guys to stand at another corner, murmuring to himself. David looked at Ken and said, "That is bad. You shouldn't have tripped him. At least evade his punches until he gets tired" "I thought it is funny that us why I tripped him don't worry I will go and beg to come back" said Ken as he walked in the direction Blaze left to.

At a corner beside the hall, Ken heard some sniffing and went to check only to find Blaze crying. He was surprised and walked up to him and said, "Blaze, I'm sorry I didn't mean to you cry I just that I should do something funny" as he bends down beside Blaze who was crying said "Don't worry, I wasn't crying about that it I'd just that something flied into my eyes. That is why there is water flowing from my eyes." As he cleans his eyes and looks Ken asking,"What are you looking at?"Nothing, I was thinking about my life before I arrived at the academy," said Ken while sighing.

"Can you tell me more about it?" said Blaze while turning to Ken with curiosity."Well, it is nothing much, just that I was an orphan who doesn't know his parent. I had to cater for myself in slums and I was bullied a lot it was just after an incident that I met Rock and Kira, who brought me to this academy. Without them, I will never be educated," said Ken as he stood up. "Let forget about that and return to the hall in case the man with a wizard hat entered back," stretching his hand out to Blaze, who looked at him and nodded before taking his hand to get up.
