Chapter 39: Entering The Hellfire Chamber!

"That hit the spot! Thanks!" Wei Di smirked at the guard. The guard's jaw dropped as he looked at the prison warden. "Continue!" the prison warden shouted. On his command, the guard continued to strike Wei Di relentlessly with the whip left and right with all his commendable strength. All the new inmates were looking at Wei Di in awe and amazement. That was because just by feeling the residual impact of the attack, they knew the rumored fire whip packs a whole lot of punch. Soon after the guard was losing steam as his breathing got harder "Huff! Huff!"

"Enough!" the prison warden roared!

"Lock him to the Hellfire chamber for a week! He continued. The Warden was certain if this continues, the guards would lose dominance and its authority over the new inmates."The fire Hellfire Chamber?" mutters and gasp could be heard. That was akin to a death sentence.

The Hellfire chamber is a zone that exhibits extreme heat and is used to punish the inmates that break the major prison rules. Many dangerous and powerful inmates who were sent there to break their spirit, never went against the prison rules again for two reasons.

The first most common reason was that inmates could not resist the heat and disintegrate into ashes. The survival rate is rumored to be only 0.04%.

The second reason was that their spirit has been broken. The fear of being locked inside the hellfire chamber again has ingrained into their body and soul. They would never dare to go against the prison warden and its guards ever again.

The head guard and a subordinate guard came forward. Wei Di only smiled as he was led by the guards. He smiled because he knew he had succeeded. The person he wanted to meet was in the Hellfire Chamber.

On route towards the hellfire chamber, the head guard asked "Why did you do that? If only you can bear with it for a while " The head guard sighed. The head guard started to advise Wei Di "Inside the hellfire chamber, you must conserve all your energy into cultivating a spiritual layer to protect yourself from the invasive scorching heat. You must avoid any conflict inside to survive"

"I heard that there is a man inside the hellfire chamber, who has survived for 6 years with a broken spiritual core," Wei Di asked.

"How did you know that? He was sentenced to the Hellfire chamber as a death sentence but he managed to overcome the hellfire chamber purely by sheer willpower. Anyone would perish inside within minutes without a spiritual layer of energy." The guard replied.

Soon, they arrived at a huge reddish-brown door. The guard went to the side of the door and pulled down a lever that was sticking out. With that movement, the huge door opened from both sides. As the door opened, intense heat waves were gushing out devouring up any cold air in the surrounding.

"Quickly go in! The second room on the left is yours. Now remember my advice and also avoid the man in the last room" the guards shouted as they could not bear the heat.

Wei Di entered the door as the guards slammed the door quickly. In the Hellfire zone, the heat was indeed extremely scorching hot and inmates inside were seen cultivating a layer of spiritual energy constantly to dissipate the heat. The hellfire chamber had approximately 20 rooms and streaks of fire could be seen forming around the floor and the wall.

It indeed live up to its name- Hellfire Chamber.
