Extra 19: Change the World (18)

"Inuyasha, Kagome!" - Kaede exclaimed upon seeing the state of the two young men as they returned to the village.

"We're fine, old woman Kaede" - replied Kagome with difficulty because she had been helping Inuyasha back, who seemed to be sunk in his thoughts.

"What happened?" - Kaede asked worriedly - "Where is Kurama-san and the others?"

Inuyasha's body shivered unconsciously before biting his lip.

"I'd also like to know..." - Yura said as she appeared in front of the group.

"Huh? What are you doing here?" - Kagome asked in surprise as she thought this woman had left along with her master.

"From one moment to another I felt that everything around me distorted, and when I was able to regain consciousness, I noticed that there was no one in the place" - replied Yura with a frown - "I don't understand what's going on, so I followed you so that I could understand the situation."

Kagome remained silent because if she was honest with herself, she also had no idea what had happened, in fact, the only one who understood the situation, was none other than Inuyasha, and he seemed that he didn't want to talk about it.

"Inuyasha..." - Kaede said as she looked at the silver-haired boy - "What was it that happened?"

"I-I..." - Inuyasha muttered regretfully, only to let out a cry of pain when he felt his body being caught by Yura's hair - "Ugh..."

"What are you doing!" - Kagome exclaimed in shock and fury as she saw how this Yokai was starting to get out of control now that Kurama was nowhere to be found.

"I'm sick of waiting, I just want to know where my master is, so I can go with him and stop wasting my time with this pathetic excuse of Yokai" - said Yura neutrally as she lifted Inuyasha up and looked him straight in the eyes - "Now then, I expect you to tell me what the fuck happened, so I can get on my way."

Inuyasha was silent before letting out another cry of pain as his body was still in pain from the seal Kurama had put on him.

"Speak the fuck-up!" - Yura roared as she felt her Youki was starting to get out of control. She finally had everything she had asked for, power, a goal that was not aligned with her desire for hair because of her origin, and finally, a master who was not only protecting her, but was helping her evolve into a higher being, but all of this had disappeared like dust in the wind for a reason unknown to her.

Yura was furious, scared and desperate because she could feel how all her efforts were becoming useless.

Inuyasha gritted his teeth before telling everything that had happened.

Kaede was silent while Kagome didn't know what to say.

Yura reacted the worst, she quickly grabbed the silver haired boy's head and impacted his head against the ground - "You've had to be fucking with me!"

"Yura-san!" - Kagome exclaimed as she tried to stop her, only to feel the Yokai woman's hair wrap around her body, impeding her movements.

"I thought you were smart, no, I thought you knew what you were doing, but now I see you're just like the other male Yokai..." - Yura said neutrally as she lifted the dog boy's head.

Inuyasha spat blood as he glared angrily at the hair demon - "Why are you attacking me, this has nothing to do with you!"

"Nothing to do with me?!" - Yura roared as he slammed the boy's head into the ground once again - "Listen you piece of shit, that girl you hurt, she's my master's daughter, she's kind and considerate, even after all the damage you did to her with your actions, she asked her father to spare your life!"

Inuyasha again let out a keening of pain as he felt his forehead swell from the continuous impacts he was receiving.

"She thought she had found someone similar, someone who could understand her, make her feel normal!" - Yura continued angrily because as a woman, she understood how Izumi felt - "She thought you felt the same!"

"Ugh" - Inuyasha let out a sharp groan of pain as Kagome and Kaede looked down because they could understand the fury Yura was showing.

Kaede was a little self-conscious, after all, she knew that the relationship between her sister and Inuyasha was special, but that didn't mean she wasn't disgusted with the boy that after seeing how his former love had appeared in front of him, he had abandoned everything he had achieved in this short time. She could see how happy Izumi was together with Inuyasha, and she could even notice the changes inside the boy, even though he put it all aside because of his past.

"You don't deserve her..." - Yura growled as she remembered her past, and how she had been treated by all the people who used her until she finally had enough and decided to go her own way. She quickly let go of Inuyasha and turned away.

"W-What makes me different from Kurama" - Inuyasha muttered as he raised his head with difficulty - "W-Why can he speak with such moral superiority... when he's worse than me..."

"You don't know anything..." - Yura muttered as she felt her Youki starting to get out of control - "You didn't even deign to talk to Izumi about her family, if you had, you wouldn't have said something so stupid..."

Inuyasha tried to get up, but his body hurt so much that when he tried to move, it fell limp to the ground.

"You're right, Kurama has a lot of women" - Yura muttered neutrally - "I want to ask you a question though.... Do you know what's the difference between you and him?"

"P-Power..." - Inuyasha muttered, only to hear Yura chuckle.

"No, the difference has nothing to do with power or my master's abilities" - said Yura coldly - "He never cheated on his wives, he didn't delude them and then replace them with another one."

Inuyasha was silent when he heard this as Kaede and Kagome looked at each other.

"Kurama-sama didn't hurt their hearts, he accepted them equally, he loved them equally despite their identities" - Yura said as she remembered how happy Izumi was to talk about her family, and how her mothers were happy and friendly with each other - "Instead, you forgot her, you cast her aside when you got your precious priestess back, that makes you the lowest scum in the world, even in standards of Yokai, who are naturally bastards..."

Inuyasha gritted his teeth because there was no way to defend himself at these words. He knew this woman was speaking the truth, and that hurt him far more than the seal Kurama had put on him - "Was I wrong?"

"From your point of view, no" - Yura answered neutrally - "But for us, you are trash..."

That was the last thing Yura said before disappearing from the place.

Kagome let out a sigh as she looked at Inuyasha with conflicting emotions. A part of her was disgusted by what the boy had done, yet at the same time she understood that the heart was something one could not control.

"Inuyasha..." - Kaede said as she sighed.

"Don't say anything..." - Inuyasha muttered as he lowered his head. This was the lowest moment of his life, he had not only lost his composure after seeing Kikyo, but in the process he had hurt Izumi, the girl who had made him feel like he fit into the world. Now that it had all happened, he saw how stupid he had been during that reunion, more so when he noticed Kikyo's cold stare, and Izumi's pained look before Kurama took them away.

"Inuyasha, I know you have to feel bad, but..." - Kaede said with concern.

"You don't have to say anything, I already know I screwed up, I don't need any of you to tell me over and over again!" - Inuyasha roared angrily as he felt like he was about to explode.

"I..." - Kaede muttered before sighing - "Ok, I'm not going to say anything else..."

Kaede gave Inuyasha one last look before silently retreating, after all, she had no reason to meddle in other people's business.

"She was only trying to help you..." - Kagome said with a frown.

"I don't give a shit, I don't need her help, I don't need yours either" - Inuyasha replied disdainfully - "Now, I'm asking you nicely to fuck off, I don't need some pseudo Kikyo pissing me off right now."

Kagome's expression darkened when she heard this because she didn't like being compared to the former priestess. She was Kagome Higurashi, not Kikyo, and she didn't want to be either.

"You're an asshole..." - Kagome muttered as she walked behind Kaede with a cold expression on her face.

Inuyasha fell silent when he saw that he was alone again. He slowly struggled to his feet before walking into the forest, so he could get some rest while he thought about everything that had happened.
