Extra 19: Change the World (16)

After hearing the general situation, Inuyasha began to lose his composure, after all, it didn't matter the past, the person who had been insulted was the woman he had loved, and although he didn't want to admit it, he still loved her despite having sealed him.

Many would think that those 50 plus years had been enough for him to turn over a new leaf, though one had to remember that for him, only a few minutes had passed, and there was another detail to take into account, Kikyo did not kill him as she would have done with other Yokai, which meant that despite everything, she still had feelings for him.

Inuyasha's thoughts were a mess, though thanks to Izumi's presence and support, he managed to calm down.

Izumi was a little worried that the boy who had gained her attention, still had feelings for a girl who had been dead for years, though she quickly decided to put these thoughts aside, after all, she didn't want to replace that woman, no, she wanted to be the new special person inside the boy's heart, besides, feeling jealous for the dead was not something she would do.

Kagome didn't know what to say, after all, the stolen remains were those of her past life, which was very uncomfortable from her perspective because they were practically stealing her body.

Kurama noticed the change in the expressions of his companions, while Yura was still ignoring everything and continuing with her training, after all, she could feel how before long she was going to be powerful enough to fulfill her wish of having a real body.

"So, what shall we do?" asked Inuyasha as he looked at Kurama, who was thinking.

"What do you want us to do?" - asked Kurama while narrowing his eyes.

"Actually, I would like to retrieve Kikyo's remains" - replied Inuyasha with slight discomfort because he could tell that Kurama wasn't very happy with his recent behavior, although he quickly regained his calm - "Please..."

"Tousan, I also want to ask you to help him" - Izumi said while looking at her father.

Kurama frowned again before letting out a heavy sigh - "Is that how Inoichi felt?"

Izumi smiled slightly - "No, Grandpa Inoichi was much worse, or at least that's what mom Ino said."

Kurama let out a laugh when he heard this, though his expression quickly turned serious again - "Ok, I'm going to help you, though I hope you think carefully about your next moves because if something happens to hurt my baby, even she won't save you from my fury..."

Inuyasha nodded weakly while Izumi looked at her father with concern because such seemed like he knew something he didn't want to say.

"Ok, let's go now" - Kurama said as he led the group in the direction where he had sensed that the demon woman had escaped.

A few hours later, and following the sniffing of Inuyasha, Izumi and Kurama, the group arrived at what seemed to be their destination after passing a few tests, the vast majority of which was to tear apart a small army of clay dolls.

"It's here, Kikyo's scent along with one similar to that of the clay dolls we've been destroying, I can feel them inside this place" - Inuyasha said seriously as he frowned because it was obvious what had happened.

The Oni witch had used Kikyo's remains to create a clay doll, though the reasons for this were still hidden.

Kurama frowned because he could feel the strange connection to the realm of the dead being created in this place. Such it seemed that this old woman knew what she was doing.

"Ok, here's what we'll do, we go in, kick the old woman and retrieve Kikyo's remains" - Inuyasha said as he prepared to destroy the entrance to the Oni witch's "workshop", though when he did, he was surprised to see the door open by itself - "?"

"I see you finally arrive, I've been waiting for you all this time..." - Urasue said as she looked fearfully at Kurama, then resting her eyes on Kagome and smiling widely - "And I see they brought the last ingredient."

Inuyasha's expression changed to one of confusion while Kagome had a bad feeling.

Kurama frowned because he understood what was happening, so he quickly stepped in front of Kagome and looked at the Oni witch coldly - "I'm sorry, but Kikyo's soul no longer exists, the blank canvas now created another painting, very different from the original one."

"No, they only painted over the canvas, the original painting is still there" - Urasue answered while licking her lips - "Come, young lady, help me bring back to the world of the living the most powerful priestess of the recent times."

Kagome's gaze darkened, as if something was controlling her thoughts.

Kurama tried to stop her, but as he was about to make his move, he felt his entire body being squeezed by what seemed to be strange invisible chains.

Urasue seemed to notice this, so she quickly let out a loud laugh - "Such seems to be fate, oh great Yokai of the foxes!"

Kurama's expression darkened as he felt the chains on his body grow tighter, though at the same time he could feel his power growing with each passing second.

"Tousan?" - Izumi said as she watched as her father looked like he was about to explode - "Oh, this is bad."

Inuyasha reacted at these words, so he quickly ran to Kagome to try and stop her, only to see a scythe appear in front of his face, cutting his cheek after he unconsciously jumped backwards.

"Just a little more and I would have cut off your pretty head" - Urasue said with a fake tone of pity, though her expression changed when she saw some black hairs surrounding her body.

"Seriously, I'm sick of always being ignored" - said Yura while looking disdainfully at the Oni witch - "Oh well, being ignored has its advantages, like for example, being able to ambush idiots..."

"Good job, Yura!" - Izumi exclaimed happily. She had wanted to help Kagome, but didn't because her father was warning her with his gaze.

"Hmph! It's obvious, I've been trained by Kurama-sama" - Yura replied with disdain as she walked to Kagome, only to see how a familiar face was in front of the girl from the future - "Oh, I think we're in trouble..."

Inuyasha looked in the direction where the Higurashi girl was, only to see how someone from the past was walking in his direction - "Kikyo..."

"Perfect!" - Urasue exclaimed as she laughed madly - "Priestess Kikyo, destroy everyone present, starting with the Kitsune who is restrained by an unknown force!"

Kikyo shot a cold glare at Inuyasha before looking at Kurama, only to raise an eyebrow in surprise.

"What are you waiting for, finish them off!" - Urasue exclaimed as she felt her fury grow with every second the revived priestess ignored her - "Priestess Kikyo!"

"Be quiet..." - Kikyo muttered as she glared at the Yokai woman.

"How dare you speak to your master like that!" - Urasue roared as she felt a bad feeling.

"Be quiet..." - Kikyo repeated as she continued to walk over to Kurama with an unconscious and pale Kagome in her arms.

"Y-You little...!" - Urasue roared, only to feel everything around her turn white - "H-Huh?"

"I told you to be quiet..." - Kikyo said as she lowered her arm.

Urasue didn't understand what had happened, though everyone else saw it.

Kikyo had made a quick hand movement and fired a spirit shot in the direction of the old Oni witch, killing her on the spot.

The revived priestess continued walking to Kurama, completely ignoring Inuyasha, who stood with his mouth agape.

Izumi watched this with regret, as she let out a sigh, she could feel her heart sink slightly in despair, though her expression changed when she saw her father's face darken - "Oh, no!"

Kikyo walked in front of Kurama, and placed Kagome in front of him - "I can feel a huge spiritual power within you, as well as a strange connection to my current state"

"What do you want..." - Kurama said neutrally.

"With your power, I'm sure you can split this girl's soul, so you can maintain both of our existences" - Kikyo replied with a cold tone.

"Why would I do that?" - Kurama asked as he narrowed his eyes - "I can simply take Kagome's soul from you and return it to its original place."

Inuyasha's eyes widened when he heard this as he felt his breathing hitch, a reaction that didn't go unnoticed by Izumi, who only lowered her head.

Kurama's expression darkened even more, the already growing fury he felt because of the intervention of the will of this dimension seemed about to explode.
