Extra 17: To Love Ruto (12)

"Again, I thank you for helping me with my work" - said Saiba as he opened the door to his study - "Oh, by the way, I want to warn you that it's a bit messy".

"Relax, it can't be worse than my son's room" - said Kurama as the two parents let out a laugh and Naruto muttered things under his breath.

Kurama shook his head as he saw how a fly was hovering around Lala, though at the same time, it didn't feel like a fly, it was like there was someone inside it, so as long as no one saw it, he crushed it without much trouble.

"Is something wrong, Kurama-san?" - Saiba asked while raising an eyebrow.

"No, just a fly" - answered Kurama calmly - "Now then, I would like to know a little more about your work, let's say that in my country there are no such books."

"Oh, then come, I'll explain a little about what my work is about" - smiled Saiba as she took Kurama by the shoulder and led him to his main studio where his assistants were working, who were quickly excited to see a woman as beautiful as Mikado, although they quickly sighed with regret at the sight of the man accompanying her.

"As you can see, my job is to capture my stories in drawings" - Saiba said while taking one of the few books lying on the floor and showing it to the white-haired man - "My work is mainly aimed at young people, but as it is the culture of Japan, even adults can enjoy my work, but leaving that aside, my occupation is basically a writer, only with a few steps further."

"I see" - Kurama nodded as he picked up a book and started reading it, only to feel a strange sense of nostalgia. He quickly remembered his past life, which honestly had been buried deep in his subconscious, not because he didn't want to remember it, but because he felt that his current life was much more important - "It's pretty good"

"Yeah, that was one of my first works, many thought it was beginner's luck, and honestly I think so too" - replied Saiba as he folded his arms - "Anyway, you can read the others while I work"

"Ok" - nodded Kurama as he started reading Saiba's stories.

Mikado also picked up one of the manga curiously because despite having been on earth for years, she hadn't picked up one of these books because she wasn't interested, but now that she had the chance, it didn't seem like a bad idea to experience a bit of Japanese culture.

"Rito, help me!" - Saiba exclaimed as he looked at his son running in his direction - "You know what to do!"

"Yes" - nodded Rito as he saw the sheets his father had left in front of him and started working.

"Do you want help?" - Naruto asked as he raised an eyebrow as he watched Rito pick up an ink pen and begin to fill in some spaces.

Rito paused for a few seconds as he looked at Naruto because if he was honest, he didn't know how to respond to this. He was grateful for his friend's kindness, but he didn't know if he could do such a delicate job, after all, a single mistake could damage his father's hard work.

"Let him help you" - Saiba said while looking at his son - "If your friend is offering you his help, accept it, if something happens after that, I take the responsibility."

"Ok" - nodded Rito as he handed him one of the many sheets that his father had passed him and indicated what he had to do.

Naruto nodded firmly and began to carry out the orders, and to Rito's surprise, he was doing a perfect job.

Saiba looked in his direction in surprise as he called him to come to him.

Naruto was confused because he thought he was doing a bad job, but after hearing Saiba's new orders, he nodded and started working.

Saiba's assistants looked at Naruto with surprise as they shook their heads at how talented the boy was, although this should not be a surprise, after all, the members of the Uzumaki clan were experts in the art of Fuinjutsu, and as such, they had to be methodical because making just one wrong stroke, could cause enormous damage to the user.

Naruto had been trained from a young age by his mother in the art of sealing, so this type of activity was not something very difficult for him.

Lala watched her fiancé with a smile because seeing this new side of him, it was kind of cute.

"What are you looking at, finish your jobs!" - Saiba exclaimed as he looked at his assistants who seemed to be staring too long at their new assistant.

Lala had thought about helping Rito's father with one of her inventions, but seeing how fast Naruto was at his job, it seemed that her intervention wouldn't be necessary.

A few hours later, Saiba was celebrating that he had finally finished his work.

The assistants were resting after a heavy day of work and getting ready to go for some drinks.

"Well, now I'm going to go and deliver the manuscript, and then we'll go to dinner together" - said Saiba while looking at his son, then looking at Kurama and his family - "I also want to invite you guys, without Naruto, I wouldn't have been able to finish on time"

"Ok, we accept" - nodded Kurama with a small smile.

"Ok, I'll be back in a few minutes" - replied Saiba as he ran with his manuscript.

"Thank you for helping my father" - said Rito as he looked at Naruto.

"You don't have to thank me, I did it because we are friends" - smiled Naruto as Lala gave him a hug.

Rito smiled slightly as Haruna put her hand on his shoulder.

"I guess we have to make some time now" - said Kurama as Mikado watched the two young couples.

An hour later, the two families were sitting in a restaurant.

"Right, you still don't tell us about Rito's mother" - said Kurama as he looked at Saiba, who was enjoying his well-deserved dinner.

"Oh, Ringo, she's quite a popular fashion designer, right now she has to be in France" - replied Saiba while shrugging his shoulders - "Now that you mention her name, I think it would be a good idea to call her because she's usually too focused on her work."

Saiba quickly pulled out his cell phone and dialed his wife's number, only for her to answer after a few seconds.

"Saiba, is something wrong?"

"Oh, nothing, I just wanted to hear your beautiful voice, my beloved wife" - Saiba said as he let out a laugh.

"Seriously, you know I'm busy, although I have to admit that your random calls fill me with happiness."

"Right, I'm having dinner together with our children and our new neighbors" - said Saiba with a small smile - "Oh, and Rito's girlfriend".

"Hello, Rito, Mikan ~! Wait! Did you say girlfriend?!"

"Why are you two reacting like that!" - Rito exclaimed with a red face.

"You can't blame me, Rito, you know your body is... unstable..."

"Ugh" - Rito let out a groan of pain as Saiba and Mikan shook their heads.

Haruna only blushed because she could remember all those embarrassing situations.

"Leaving that aside, I'm happy that my son finally found that special person, I can't wait to be able to meet you in person."

"M-My name is Haruna, Haruna Sairenji, Yuuki-san" - replied Haruna with a red face as she introduced herself.

"You can call me Ringo, little girl, and you sound like a cutie."

Haruna blushed slightly at the woman's words as Saiba let out a laugh.

"Oh, right, you said you were standing beside our new neighbors."

"Yeah, our neighbors' son helped me finish my work" - Saiba replied while scratching the back of his neck.

"Seriously, always being on the time limit, you should be more careful."

"Sorry, but you know there are creative blocks" - replied Saiba with embarrassment.

"Anyway, thanks for helping my silly husband."

"Hey" - Saiba could only click his tongue when he heard his wife as she only laughed.

"Thanks for helping my husband, he's a bit carefree when it comes to his work."

"I'm not that bad" - Saiba muttered with a frown.

"Your studio is completely messy and dirty, not to mention that I have to go there every week to make sure you have something to eat" - Mikan replied as she gave him a blank look.

"Sorry, Mikan, I'm sorry I'm not there to help you and having you worry about these two idiots who don't seem to know how to do anything."

"Hey!" - The two men from the Yuuki family exclaimed.

"Relax, I'm used to it" - replied Mikan as she folded her arms.

Saiba and Rito, quickly averted their gaze while Haruna and Ringo let out a laugh.

"Anyway, I think this call has to end here, I have to get back to work, although I'm sure I'll be going home in a month or two, I'm looking forward to meeting you."

"Good luck with your job, honey" - Saiba said while smiling slightly.

"You don't need luck when you're good enough."
