Extra 13: We are Pirates ~! (29)

Ace opened his mouth in surprise as a cold sweat ran down his back.

"That's why I want to assume that your mother did something" - said Kurama as he started to think - "What's your birthdate?"

"January 1st of the year XXXX" - answered Ace unconsciously.

"Wow, now I understand all that your mother did for you" - said Kurama with respect - "It is for reasons like this that they say that a mother's love, is the greatest love that exists."

Kurama finally understood how Ace's mother had succeeded in saving his life, she remained gestating Ace for 11 months longer than usual, in other words, she carried Ace for 20 months in her womb.

Just thinking about all the suffering she went through to save her baby made him realize what a wonderful mother she was.

Ace started to cry when he heard this while those present, even Domino and Hannyabal were surprised and respectful at the courage of that unknown woman.

Kurama was a little confused because he thought that Garp had informed Ace about his mother at least, even about his real father, but it seemed that he had only informed him some small details, maybe to prevent Ace from having the same end as his father, but seeing how things ended, it seemed that he had failed.

Kurama quickly shook his head and decided to leave, he had seen more than enough to get an idea of what Ace was like. He came across as mature, but after seeing how he went out of his way to deny his parentage, it showed that he had a serious father problem, possibly because during his childhood he didn't have a male figure to guide him well, after all, Garp was someone important in the navy and couldn't stay at home for long.

"Let's go, I've seen more than enough" - Kurama said as he shook his head, but not before making a hand seal that went unnoticed by everyone in the place.

A deep silence invaded the place after Kurama and the others left.

Ace was sighing regretfully as he thought about how childish his most recent actions had been.

He wouldn't lie, he acted first and thought later, an attitude he seemed to have learned from Garp.

"Have I acted like an idiot by trying to erase my past?" - Ace muttered as he sighed regretfully after remembering how his parents had sacrificed themselves for him.

After listening to Kurama's words, he went on to think about all the information he had gathered from Roger, only to nod at the albino's deduction.

Roger sailed smoothly for years, but was captured just at the moment he was about to be born, that was too big a coincidence, that's why a thought came to his mind.

What if he did it to give them some time to escape, what if he did it so he could talk to someone he respected and knew would help them?

He had heard from Garp himself about how he and Roger were not only bitter enemies but also good friends, a rivalry that developed over the years, which is why he was increasingly certain that this was the right answer.

Just thinking about it made him curse his stupidity for not seeing it sooner.

As for his mother, Garp had only told him her name, and where she had been born, there was no more information than that, so he didn't know about the huge sacrifice she had made for him.

"It's good to see that you're thinking things through a little better, it shows that you're mature enough to understand your mistakes" - Kurama said as he appeared in front of him.

"!" - Ace and Jinbe's eyes widened in surprise when they saw how the albino had reappeared in the place, only this time without company.

"What are you doing here, Emperor-dono?" - Jinbe asked with his body tense, after all, it wasn't good for them to see the albino appear out of nowhere when they were locked up and with their abilities sealed.

"Relax, I didn't come to cause you harm, though not to save you either" - Kurama replied calmly as he shrugged his shoulders - "And as given, I'm just a copy of the original."

"Please tell us your reason" - said Jinbe while shaking his head.

"It's simple, I come to give Ace a message" - said Kurama as he looked at the aforementioned black-haired young man - "There is someone who wants to save you and is slowly approaching this place, someone I'm sure you know"

"Who?" - Ace asked with a frown, after all, he knew his friends and brothers. They wouldn't attack [Impel Down], but rather [Marineford].

"Luffy" - replied Kurama as he watched Ace's expression change slightly.

"Impossible! That idiot couldn't infiltrate this place!" - Ace exclaimed as he scowled at the white-haired man - "If you're going to tell a lie, at least make it convincing!"

"I'm not lying, he is in this place" - Kurama replied while shrugging his shoulders - "I helped him infiltrate this place because I liked him."

" Are you a fucking idiot?!" - Ace exclaimed angrily, after all, this was one of the most dangerous places in the world, let alone for a pirate.

"Now I ask you, if I refused, would he have given up on trying to rescue you?" - Kurama asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Ugh" - Ace let out a groan of suffering when he heard this because he knew his younger brother.

Luffy was anything but smart or rational.

"Anyway, I just came to tell you that, good luck with your execution, oh, and I was forgetting, I'm not going to be your enemy I hate the [World Government]" - Kurama said with a huge grin - "But if your friends attack me, I promise no mercy."

Having said that, Kurama disappeared from the place, leaving the two prisoners confused.

"Jinbe, you seemed to know that guy" - said Ace while looking at his friend - "Who was he?"

"His name is Kurama, and he has the title of [Emperor] because he is Boa Hancock's couple" - replied Jinbe, who frowned as he noticed his friend's expression - "Don't think that he is weak and that his title is just because of that because you would be making a huge mistake, after all, his power level is unknown, but at the very least he is at the level of Mihawk"

"!" - Ace widened his eyes in surprise, after all, Mihawk was comparable to the power of a [Yonko], that's why he was always seen practicing against [Akagami no Shanks].

"Anyway, it's impressive that that Luffy guy came to try to save you" - Jinbe said while shaking his head.

"That's my idiot younger brother" - Ace replied regretfully, though a smile quickly appeared on his face.

"Well, I guess that would be all for now" - said Kurama as he walked towards the boat that would take him to [Marineford] - "It was a pleasure".

"The pleasure was all ours" - said Hannyabal with a huge smile - "Not all guests follow our instructions and behave as well as you do, that's why I would like you to come and visit us again, maybe then the others can learn from you"

"I'll think about it" - smiled Kurama as he got on the boat.

"He's a good guy" - said Hannyabal, only to frown as he heard the alarm start to sound - "!"

"Sir, we have a problem!" - exclaimed a marine as he ran in the Vice Warden's direction - "Someone has entered [Impel Down] and is freeing the prisoners!"

"Impossible, no one can get in without us noticing!" - Hannyabal exclaimed with a frown.

"Is this all Kurama-san's fault?" - Domino asked with a frown.

"Impossible, he was with us all this time" - replied Hannyabal with a frown - "We would have noticed if he had done something strange, but the only strange thing he did, was to talk to the prisoner Ace."

"You have a point, that means that the criminal entered when we were busy escorting Kurama-san" - said Domino while frowning - "If so, the information about Kurama-san's visit, has to have been exposed by someone."

"The problem is that we don't know who was responsible for exposing this information, not to mention that we also don't know the target of the unknown criminal, neither his identity" - said Hannyabal while shaking his head - "Anyway, we'd better go back to the camera room, we'll find some answers there"

"Ok" - nodded Domino as she followed her boss.

"Are you Olive?" - Luffy said as he arrived at the prison with curiosity - "Ok, come on, Kurama-san told me you could help me."

"So you're my rescuer? I was expecting something better" - Olive said as she shrugged her shoulders, more when she saw the Okama who was following him - "Come on, downstairs we'll join a contact of mine."
