10 Socking Sorting & House Common Room

Hogwarts Sorting ceremony:

Dumbledore pov:

Today is the first of the new school year, the sorting ceremony is about to start all the students are sitting down and waiting for the new young wizards & witches to be sorted into one of the house.

The hall doors opened to show Professor McGonagall leading the new students in a single line to the front of the four tables, she then put the sorting hat on a stall all before the hat introduced itself.

Professor McGonagall then started calling students up to be sorted, The tables clapped and celebrated their new house mates.

The sorting continued while the teachers and myself clapping for the new students. It was the same till Harry Potter was call up to be sorted.

The hall hushed for a few seconds before it broke out in whispers, Harry nervously walked to the hat he put it now and started to whisper to himself. The sorting hat began to talk to Harry, before the sorting hat yelled "Gryffindor!!".

Gryffindor, ravenclaw and Hufflepuff all started to celebrate with Gryffindor being the loudest, The Weasley twins were yelling "WE GOT POTTER, WE'VE GOT POTTER!!"

I clapped before gesturing my goblet at him. The ceremony continued till there was only two students left. But these to were different to all of the students for they are not human but Elves.

This is the first time Hogwarts since it was opened has had and elf walk onto the grounds. Not since the four founders of Hogwarts got the assistance of Galadriel Galad, Galadriel helped with the very creation and protection of Hogwarts, Hogwarts had become such a safe and magical place because of her help.

A lot of the knowledge in the library was donated by her as well. She even blessed Hogwarts to help with mana growth and learning. She is one of the main reason why Hogwarts is one of the best magical schools in the world today.

As I think about the history and many hidden magical rooms and tings in Hogwarts Theoden Mírë was called up to be sorted.

The people hushed when they saw his appearance with wonder, even I must admit that he was beautiful you would mistake him for a young girl if you did not hear him or know of him.

Even right now I could think about what the older years females were thinking 'So cute' and 'I just want to huge him'.

I could see Professor McGonagall's expectations for getting him in her house. But I knew more about Hogwarts then anyone and him being in her house is small.

He sat down before the hat was put on his head, the hat did not speak or move for some time before starting to talk to itself.

Sorting Hat: "Now this I would never a have expected to happen, an elf has finally come to Hogwarts. Let's see, you have a thirst for knowledge a very big thirst but your very loyal to those who earn it. You have ambition yes but not cunning. You are brave almost nothing scares you, but these house you do not belong, now do you. You will be able to achieve your best there"

It took the Sorting Hat almost 7 minutes to make its decision. The division was not what any of the students or teachers predicted, in fact they didn't even know of it.

Sorting Hat: "Galad!!"

I smiled at the young elf

Theoden Pov:

The hall went silent everyone was still, I looked a Professor McGonagall and asked with a confused expression.

Theo: "Which table do I got to Professor?"

She just looked at me before going to the Headmaster and whispering to him for a while before replying.

McGonagall: "You can go and join the Gryffindor table dear"

I made my way to the Gryffindor table whit everyone sterling at me as I walked. I was not nervous or embarrassed but excited. I was excited to meet new people, make friends and to learn new things.

I walk down to sit with Harry as i watched on as Alexander was to be sorted next.

Professor McGonagall was flustered for only a little bit before going back to her duty as one final student remained.

"Vardo Alexander" Alexander walked up to the hat and put it on his head. It took about 5 minutes for the hat to decide. "Galad!!"

I clapped for Alexander as he took the hat of and walking over to Gryffindor table, me sat down next to me.

The Headmaster then stood up and the hall went silent, he spoke to everyone,

"Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts, Before we begin our banquet, I would like to say a few words. And here they are: Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!"

After speaking, all of the empty golden plates on the table different types of food appeared. All trays of food was Infront of us beef, Chicken, stew, roast and more. As I looked at all the types of food I noticed that there was elven food around me and Alexander.

Ghosts started to appear around the hall, they started to talk to the students, nearly headless nick came out of our table before talking then flying away before Hermione asked why he is nearly-headless and well he showed her.

I was very happy that there was Elven food, I started to eat with everyone else. Later desert appeared i ate a nice cold fruit mix drink (a.ka. a smoothie).

As I drank my nice desert the other at the table started to talk about their families.

I'm half-and-half," said Seamus. "Me dad's a Muggle. Mom didn't tell him she was a witch 'til after they were married. Bit of a nasty shock for him."

The others laughed.

"What about you, Neville?" said Ron.

"Well, my gran brought me up and she's a witch," said Neville, "but the family thought I was a Muggle for ages. My Great Uncle Algie kept trying to catch me off my guard and force some magic out of me... h-he pushed me off the end of Blackpool pier once, I nearly drowned... but nothing happened until I was eight." the nervously continued

"Great Uncle Algie came round for dinner, and he was hanging me out of an upstairs window by the ankles when my Great Auntie Enid offered him a meringue and he accidentally let go. But I bounced all the way down the garden and into the road. They were all really pleased, Gran was crying, she was so happy. And you should have seen their faces when I got in here they thought I might not have magic you see. Great Uncle Algie was so pleased he bought me my toad."

I just thought that he got the toad because he was almost killed by his uncle. On the other side Hermione and Percy started to talk about different school subjects and courses.

Harry looked up at the Main table (Teachers table) and started to look at one of the teachers before asking who he was, before his scar stared to hurt. "what is it?" I asked "oh nothing" he replied

"Who is that next to Professor Quirrell?" Percy answered Harry "Oh that's Professor Snape, potion teacher but everyone knows he wants to be defense against the dark arts teacher, his been after Quirrell's job for years"

After deserts disappeared the tables were cleaned the Headmaster stood up and the hall quieted down. Dumbledore stood up and spoke.

"Ahem -- just a few more words now that we are all fed and watered. I have a few start-of-term notices to give you.

"First years should note that the forest on the grounds is forbidden to all pupils. And a few of our older students would do well to remember that as well." Dumbledore's twinkling eyes flashed in the direction of the Weasley twins.

"I have also been asked by Mr. Filch, the caretaker, to remind you all that no magic should be used between classes in the corridors."

"Quidditch trials will be held in the second week of the term. Anyone interested in playing for their house teams should contact Madam Hooch."

"And finally, I must tell you that this year, the third-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a very painful death."

Harry laughed, but he was one of the few who did.

"He's not serious?" he muttered to Percy.

"Must be," said Percy, frowning at Dumbledore. "It's odd, because he usually gives us a reason why we're not allowed to go somewhere... the forest's full of dangerous beasts, everyone knows that. I do think he might have told us prefects, at least."

"And now, before we go to bed, let us sing the school song!" cried Dumbledore. I noticed that the teachers smiles frozen and looked very forced.

Dumbledore gave his wand a little flick, as if he was trying to get a fly off the end, and a long golden ribbon flew out of it, which rose high above the tables and twisted itself, snakelike, into words.

"Everyone pick their favorite tune," said Dumbledore, "and off we go!"

The song was terrible, like really terrible I could not Stand it so I used my magic to shut the sound off. I watched all the students and the forced teachers sing.

Everybody finished the song at different times. At last, only the Weasley twins were left singing along to a very slow funeral march. Dumbledore conducted their last few lines with his wand and when they had finished, he was one of those who clapped loudest.

"Ah, music," he said, wiping his eyes. "A magic beyond all we do here! And now, bedtime. Off you trot!"

The different house students left with there house prefects to go to there common rooms. Professor McGonagall came up to Alexander and I, before asking for us to follow her to the Headmaster office.

We entered the Headmaster's office and well it looked really nice and welcoming, the walls were filled with paintings of past headmasters who are asleep. There was a large office desk next to it was a bird stand with a Phoenix sitting on it asleep.

The headmaster Dumbledore was sitting behind his desk, he looked up from his papers at the three of us. He smiled before three chairs appeared in front of his desk.

He gestured to sit down before talking. "I know you all have questions that need to be answered so I will do my best to explain. You two young elves have been sorted into the Galad house, Galad house was made by Galadriel Galad an elf who came back to Britain to help in the creation of Hogwarts. She did this for two purposes, one to help young wizards/witches be safe and learn. The second reason is for young elves to be safe and have a place to belong in Britain.

So she created the house Galad for young elves to have a place to learn and grow."

McGonagall: "But if that is the case Albus then we're is there the common room. Who is their head of house Albus?"

Dumbledore: "Well I will be there head of house but I will need your help Minerva for sometimes as I know you have known Mr Theoden for a couple of years, as for their common room follow me"

Dumbledore lead us down the stairs to a large wall, He then Spoke in Elven tounge *"Open the way"* Then in front of us a door appeared and he pushed it open to reveal a large room with a large white tree with silver leafs that lit up the room with a soft light.

The tree had stone circle around it which had small but warm fireplaces, in front of fireplaces were couches. The common room was two stories with a balcony going around the room. The room was almost completely made of wood, the walls had patterns and chairs.

There was 3 openings one on the other side of the room and one each on both sides. There was a area with a floor made of cushions for sitting and laying down on.

As we looked around the room the headmaster spoke. "The way to enter the common room is to go to a wall and think 3 times in elven 'Galad secret door appear' then after the door appears you can say the password to open it, one of the best things about it is that when you leave you can think 3 times of a place you want to be close to and when you leave the door will appear there."

He continued to introduce the common room while walking forward. "The common room has some wonderful perks for it's residents, the are stairs to the second story where the your rooms are on both sides of the room. Next to the stairs is a room on either side, the left is a library where all books are in elven.

The right is a training room for both your body and magic, the dummy's can be used for magic and physical combat training.

At the back of the common room is a garden on either sides and a large balcony overlooking the lake and forbidden forest. quite frankly I'm even jealous about how beautiful and unique your common room is.

And finally your rooms are large single person rooms with a balcony over looking the lake, they have their own bathroom and study."

He finished while looking around large smile. everyone could also hear the sound of soft music coming from floating elven music instruments

Professor McGonagall was shocked by what she saw and heard before regaining her calm. She then asked who they will being sharing a timetable/classes. He answered that we would be with Gryffindor/we will be sharing all of Gryffindor's classes.

He then started to talk to Alexander and I about our elven traditions and laws/etiquette/rules. He told us that we are allowed to follow them as long as we don't break any of the rules in Hogwarts, which is a relief for Alexander and I as we need to follow certain rules and traditions for example because we are both royalty/nobility we have to carry a weapon at all times even if it is counseled.

(a.k.a. Theo and Alex needs to have either a sword or daggers at almost all times. yes Theo has had a dagger on him since he 'woke up' I just forgot to write it sorry)

I asked about my familiar Mia for I have to keep her near me to strengthen her and the bond, Dumbledore agreed as long it they do not cause any problems. what surprised me was that Alexander also had a familiar as well

The reason I have to keep the little fox near me is that her species can die if it does not have a continue adsorption of pure magic. I was lucky enough to give her a large amount of magic herbs to keep her healthy during the separation since arriving. However I can not keep this up for long as the herbs do not contain fully pure mana. Starlight and Tanwen do not require to stay near me 24 7 but only for a couple of hours a day.

After that the Headmaster and Professor bid us a good night and left us alone. I started to talk to him about his Familiars while we walk up the stair to our rooms.

He had three familiars a Grand Thunderbird, a Lava Rose and finally a Luna Wolf. We first went to check out Alexander's room on the left side of the common room. It had a small hallway before entering his room on the left at the end of the hallway, it is really large and open. The room was made of wood with a large bed on the other side of the room.

The is a balcony on the left side of the room, on the other a door to the bathroom. The room is fancy with nice big rugs, a desk, table & chairs and a walk-in wardrobe. The room was stilled with blue and white.

On his bed is a small whitish silver baby wolf with silver eyes, a small gold/silver thunderbird and on the table is a Rose with petals that look like lava and are hot to the touch in a pot, the Lava Rose.

We next go to my room which is on the other side of the common room, through the hallway at the end on the right side opened up to my room. My room was very similar but the color of the is different it is white and green. My rooms balcony is larger as well which gave me the perfect view of the large lake.

After parting I went to check out the other rooms down stairs. As I left my room Mia who was on my bed with Tanwen and Starlight both of which were asleep, jump off the bad and run to my leg. I picked Mia up and went to first check out the training/practice room.

I went down stairs and went through the archway to the practice room is a large room which is more of a long hall, The room has a running track that goes around the room. There are combat dummys for spell and physical combat training as well as a archery range. On the other side is different types of exercise equipment.

At the back of the room is parkour/climbing area, in the middle of the room is multiple dueling areas. Mia who was in my arms looked around with curiosity. After looking around I left for the next room the library on the other side of the common room.

I went through the archway to the library, it was a large two-storied library with a tree on the right side of the room, on the left was a reading/studying area with a nice fireplace. The reading/studying area had bean bags, couches, desks and some bookshelves.

I walked up the stairs to look out of the balcony to see the whole library, I went to the floating orb on a podium in front of the tree, the orb had a cool ability to help you search for any books in the library.

I went to one of large bookshelves randomly and picked a book, I flipped to a random page and checked it and it is in ancient elven text. I checked another book at a different bookshelf and it was in Elven text. So I guess some if the really old books are in ancient elven than, I feel so lucky to be able to find books in ancient Elven here.

After walking around the room a bit more I decided to check out the last room before calling it a night.

I walked back into the common room while scratching Mia behind the ears, I walked through the last archway to find a hallway with three openings on the right and left are to greenhouses, the left is full of rare or extinct trees. The right greenhouse is full of different types of herbs, followers and other small plants ever rare or extinct again.

The last is a room that give a great view of the lake and forest, it has chairs and a dinning table. You can also walk out onto a balcony.

It is a beautiful view, you can see the lake ripple and fresh cool air is blowing a gentle breeze.

After checking out the rooms I went back to my room to unpack and get ready for bed. After having a shower I went to sleep with Mia sleeping on my chest and Tanwen at my legs, Starlight fond a nice place to sleep the small fireplace on the over side of the room.

As I close my eyes I think about this strange but exciting new place, I say goodnight to mum before falling asleep.

(note: I hoped you like the new house/common room, I thought long and hard for this and it will be very very! important for the future story so I hoped you like it.

Oh and I just want to tell you all I am going to very busy soon, I gotta my money after all I got to get food. so I might not be able to write a full chapter a day but please know I will not take a break and I will NOT drop this book so I apologize if a chapter does not come out every day
