Chapter Four

I woke up with Gerard right next to me. He mumbled," Morning my love." " Morning." I tried to untangle his arms, that he placed around me overnight. He tightened his grip," Stay in the bed." I asked," Why?" " I can't have you out of my sight, my love."

We faced each other, "I have to stay in your sight?" He said as he kissed my head," I have to know your ok." I nodded as he continued," I know you might not like me going everywhere with you but you're the only things that keeps me sane." I kissed his cheek," I know Gerard."

After all, I'm kind of getting used to him, maybe starting to like him, just maybe. An idea popped in my head," Gerard?" He answered," Yes my love?" " Can I call you Ger?" He almost purred out," Of course my love." After a pause, he asked me curiously," My love? Yesterday your eyes glowed golden. What are you?"

I sighed," It's hard to explain." He said softly," I just want to know what you are so I can help if you are hurt." " It's not very often I get hurt." He begged me, " Please just tell me what you are, my love. I need to know. "

There was a thick silence," I think it would be better if I show you." He nodded. I took his hand into mine and lead him out of the room.

" Help me get out of your house, I'm lost." His eyes sparked red at me talking about leaving the house. He pulled me towards him, wrapping his arms around me in the process.

He whispered in my ear," Your never leaving me, " I gave him a look," I am not leaving you I'm just going outside to show you. I won't leave."

He picked me up in bridal style. " Ger please put me down." " No." " What do you mean no?" He said simply," You're my girlfriend, I get to hold you like this." Girlfriend?! I asked shocked," Hold up. Did you just say, girlfriend?" He chipped," Yep." " You didn't even ask me out!"

He shrugged," Oh well." I shouted," You just can't do that!" " Watch me, love." " At least ask me out." He asked calmly," Would you go out with me? Thank you.'"

I shouted," You didn't even let me respond!" He smirked," I didn't need to. Now didn't you want to go outside my love?" I huffed and he chuckled.

As we got outside he put me down," Well, you wanted to show me. " I sighed getting out of his arms," Here I go." I transformed into Shadow - my wings flew out and my armor. All my protective gear and weapons appeared, Gerard gasped.

My wings are black on the bottom and fades to red, my protective armor is black and red as well. " Amelia your Shadow?" Well, you see I'm like the town's superhero so everyone knows what I look like, it's my job to protect people. I nodded.

Gerard breathed out," You're beautiful." He slowly came towards me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I hugged him wrapping my arms around him also as his eyes were on mine. My wings folded so that they were covering Gerard's back.

After a while, Gerard said," Come on let's go eat, my love." We went into the kitchen. I started making a sandwich," Could you make me one too love while I go set the living room?" I huffed out," Sure, but set the living room?"

He chuckled. " My love, who else is going to get the blankets and turn on the TV?" I decided to tease him a little bit," Jerry."

His eyes lit up red as he said in a deadly calm voice," Who is Jerry?" I smirked," Jerry the fairy." He gave me the, ' Are you serious ' look. " Oh and Joe's coming over today."

He said," No he isn't." " Yes, he is." He glared at me," Joe coming over and that's final." He said," I bet I'm better looking than him."

"Not really. I mean have you seen Joe? He's got abs - it just makes you want to lick -" Gerard slammed me into the wall.

" I'm the only man you should ever talk about or even think about!" I kissed his cheek. Gerard mumbled," You are going to be the death of me." " So can I finish making my sandwich or not?"

He groaned," But I like the position we are in." He chuckled and let me go. He said before he walked out," We'll see who's sexier." Once he fully walked out of the room, I laughed evilly. Yes, it is necessary. It's so easy to tease him.
