34 OMG Adrien's a....!?!?

My nerves froze I saw the blonde haired boy take a step into the open room. He wasn't spellbound as such...just confused. But he didn't show that on his face either.

I instinctively stepped in front of Romeo's body as Adrien tried to take a closer look. He shifted his head from side to side but I kept on blocking him.

Letting out a frustrated breath, he set his eyes on me, "Move out of the way, Ashe."

I shook my head frantically, "No. He's sleeping. You'll disturb him."

He narrowed his eyes and stepped closer. I tried so desperately to act like nothing was wrong, but I was always the bad actor. When he saw no signs of me giving up he sighed and frowned deeper.

He lifted his right hand and called me with one finger, "Come here."

"Why?"

"I want to tell you a secret. I don't want Romeo to hear just in case you're lying and he is actually awake."

I looked back at the seemingly lifeless boy. He looked as dead as a rock. What made him think that he was awa- I gasped as Adrien caught my chin and turned my face towards him.

I bit my cheek. "What secret is it? Say it fast and I have to check on Saye."

He ran his eyes over my face, then for a second, down to my lips and back up again, "I tackled them all, the other boys who I considered as brothers. No thank yous for me?"

I huffed from the heat that was building up on my face, "Why do you think they even acted that way?"

He raised his eyebrows, "Oh?" he asked in a high pitched voice, "You tell me, you know right?"

Oh god. Was he guilt tripping me? Was he saying he already figured everything out? Or was he trying to bait me into admitting the truth? I felt trapped, "Wh-why w-would I know anything?" My heart. It threatened to plummet out of my chest as fear drove it to beat faster and faster. Adrien was so close to finding out the truth.

"Then what were you doing in here alone with Romeo?"

I gulped, "He b-broke the sink and was trying to fix it but then b-bumped his head and got a conc-cussion when he hit his head on the sink and I came to help but then he fainted," I said in one breath, hoping he would be convinced and leave.

Adrien let me go and I felt like I could breath again. I watched him walk back and open the door to the washroom. He just stood there and his hands dropped to his sides, "Oh."

I went to stand next to him and looked inside the washroom. My jaw dropped.

The otherwise perfectly white sink was now broken into half, it's broken side barely dangling from on side. Water dripped out of the punctured pipe. Stains of blood were littered on the tiles and a sponge lay upside down under the sink, soaking in the soap water.

I backtracked in haste and went back to Romeo and checked his head, 'All that actually happened?' I thought to myself. But I had made all that up on the spot as some excuse!

I felt his scalp and took my hands back only to see, most unexpectedly, drops of blood on my hands. Before I could wipe it off, it glitched and disappeared into thin air.

I looked back at Adrien, but he wasn't there. I checked again and he was inside the washroom now, crouched on the floor under the sink.

He ran his fingers over the blood spots in fascination. I crouched in front of him and stared at him in surprise, "Adrien. What are you doing?"

He ignored my question and smiled. He took a little of the blood on the floor with his finger and held it in front of his nose and sniffed it. "Mhmm...I wonder..."

He stuck his tongue out to lick it but he only licked his fingers. The blood had glitched and disappeared just like the drops that were on my hands.

I covered my mouth, "What is wrong with you?" I whispered and stood up, weirded out. "Why are you trying to lick blood?"

His dejected face looked back up at me and met my incredulous gaze. He stood up and wiped his hands on his jeans. I stepped back towards the door as he walked towards me.

I stopped backing away when he halted too. He closed his eyes and sniffed the air.

And licked his lips.

What was wrong with him? He opened his eyes and strode towards me. I let out a small scream and tried to run out the door. He leaned over and closed it in one motion with his longer arms and placed the lock.

There was still almost three feet of space between us but he looked like he was eager to make that into zero. He grinned and took my hands. The cold skin made me gasp. It was colder than ice at absolute zero, the most lowest temperature anything real could go.

But then again, Adrien wasn't real, was he?

He threw my hands to the wall and pinned me, "You can't escape me now."

"What are you doing? Let me go!" I yelled. But there was no one to hear my wails.

"I don't know what has come over me, Ashe," he purred, and grinned, looking down at my lips. "Your lips...they're so red."

He let out a throaty laugh. When he said the word 'lips', I looked down at his too. And when his mouth opened wide to laugh, I saw his teeth.

Specifically two teeth.

"No way."

He lifted his eyes from my lips and looked at me, "No way what? That I'm this close to you?"

"You...in Breakfire Online...what was your skill?" I asked him, trying to breath normally. I saw every minute expression on his face from this close. In other circumstances, I would have been over the moon for being this close to him. But now, I felt like my life was in more danger than it was on cloud nine.

"Oh. I earned it long ago...Blood Sucker," he admitted then realization dawned on him, "OH." He laughed again, still not letting me go, "No wonder I'm feeling this way. The game skill is now in the real world too," he laughed, "How is that even possible?"

"I-I don't know..." I admitted, "You spent a long time in th-" I tried to make another excuse but stopped midway.

He had placed a finger on my lips and leaned in closer so that our noses almost touched. I went stiff all over in fear. "Sh...enough of talk now," his voice went lower and deeper now, almost a whisper. "I'm hungry."

He laughed and leaned to bite my lips.
