GREAT APPETITE FOR FOOD

Aunt Zali, I think there is something weird concerning my trip. What do you know about jump bus? Leon asked.

Oh! the jump bus. Come dear! Come and sit down on the sofa and rest your back, let me bring you a cup of tea to relax your nerves, while I tell you about the jump bus.

She served him the cup of tea, and Leon enjoyed the taste and even asked for more. By the time she came back with another cup, Leon had already falling asleep.

How many cups did he take? Leon's Dad asked aunt Zali.

He drank just one. I delayed bringing the second cup he asked for. Poor child, his mama shouldn't have taken him away. Muskvile should had been a perfect place for him growing up.

Zali. Do you think he will forget? And are you certain it is the right spell? Leon's Dad asked Zali, trying to be sure.

Offcourse he will forget, Ashford. What do you take me for. Everyone in Muskvile knows how to prepare a jump bus spell.

Hope he isn't going to sleep for two long, It is nearly four o'clock and Jane will be trying so hard to reach him. He has to be awake before I can release the spell on his phone.

You worry too much Ashford, Leon is no longer a kid. He is strong enough to handle it, and don't forget that he is from the bloodline of the Adini's. In no time he will be awake, replied Zali confidently.

Leon finally woke up from sleep that lasted about four hours plus. He looks up and saw his Dad at the dinning and aunt Zali serving him some dishes. Leon head ached a little bit, but the one that really aches the most is his stomach, he is so hungry that he could eat anything. He walks over to meet them at the table.

Ah! You are awake Leon. The nap will do a lot of magic to you, you know. One can be really exhausted after taking a five hours long trip from the city. Sit my dear and eat, you must be hungry.

I can see that you rested well son, I bet you must be hungry. Your aunt prepared your favourite, she won't ever stop pampering you. I guess she is at the top list ahead of your grandfather when it comes to spoiling you.

Leon wasn't listening to them, he didn't say a word either, he just sat himself down and starts eating gluttonously. Zali and Ashford glanced at each other privily. They new it is the aftermath reaction from the jump bus spell_ and that if it works_ will cause hunger and great appetite for food.

They allowed him to eat and paid less attention to him and help themselves with the meals on the table.

After satisfying himself with the sumptuous dishes and finally feling bettrr, Leon finally spoke up.

God! I was too hungry to utter a word, he said smilingly. It was as if I was going faint. I enjoyed evey part of the meal.

Son, it happens mostly if you take a long journey without having breakfast, Ashford _Leon's dad said.

Dad, Jane and I had breakfast together this morning. Leon explained.

Or maybe you didn't have plenty breakfast to sustain you throughout the trip. Speaking of Jane, have you called her to find out how she is fairing, and also let her know you have arrived Muskvile safely.

But it is unusual for me not to have called her since I arrived. I thought I called her before the nap, argued Leon and starts searching for his cellphone.

No you didn't Leon, actually you were about to call her when you came in and sat on the sofa, but suddenly you dosed off because you were exhausted. Your cellphone should be on the sofa, Leon. Aunty Zali reminds him.

As Leon walks toward the sofa to pick up his cellphone to call Jane, Leon's dad did a secret incantation reverse spell, channelling it to Leon cellphone in other to allow it function again.

Leon got his cellphone, but before he could dial Jane's number, his phone began to ring. It was Jane's incoming call. Leon quickly picks the call and they began talking. She complained of having trying to reach him but to no avail, she even tried reaching his dad but still couldn't reach him. He apologised to her, putting the blame on the poor network signal, and assured her that the signal is better now. They talked at length, sharing sweet words to each other and wished they could talk forever, finally they he promised to call her before bed time and hangs up after her.

She must be very fond of you Leon, I believe you two will make a perfect match. Why didn't you bring her along with you, Leon. I would have taught her how to prepare your favourite native meals, Zali said with emotions on her tone.

Aunt Zali, she wanted to come along but the nature of her Job will not permit her, besides her leave will only be due to start from next week officially if she applies, Leon explained.

Does her parents also stay in the same city with you guys? Zali asked Leon.

No aunt Zali. Jane didn't know her biological parents, she is an orphan. She grew up in an orphanage home. We met at the university were she was awarded scholarship to study pharmacy.

Awww! What a lovely girl. I haven't met her and I am beginning to admire her. She must be a very strong lady. Don't worry Leon, one day your daddy and I will come to pay you guys a visit at the city. Right Ashford?

Leon's dad too felt emotional listening to Leon, although his son had told him about Jane's background for a very long time, he didn't share it with Zali.

Yes Zali, we shall pay them a visit before the year runs out, Ashford said with assuring looks on his face.

Leon could see the connection between his father and aunt Zali, it is obvious that they are courting. He didn't know for how long though, but he believes they are will find the right time to let him know. Leon thoughts was distracted by the sound of the door bell. His dad went to check who it was at the door. He opens the door and finds a long time friend of his, Mr Langston and his daughter Damia.
