DJINNI IN A GOLDEN PEN

Leon climbs up to the top of the basement to meet Damia. She was full of excitement with smiles allover her pinky face.

I have been worried about you, I called on you severally but didn't hear a sign. I met the door opened and thought you were not anywhere around the cabin. I decided to wait for you guys outside the cabin, just came into the study to grab a book, to keep me busy while I wait. I didn't expect that your grandfather had a basement here. Where is your uncle?

I didn't meet him either, I also met the door open when I got here. He must had gone somewhere early before I arrived. I wonder where he went to early this morning.

Leon didn't know if he could count on her and tell her about the encounter with his friends from the wardrobe, he wonders if she would even believe him in the first place.

He also thought that it wouldn't be necessary involving her quickly in such matters, after all uncle Imazz would soon be back, maybe he will have some explanation for him.

He suddenly remembered they warned him that there's no much time. He had to unveil the secrets of how to read the blank pages from the journal at all cost. He finally made up his mind to confide in her and hear what she got to say.

Damia, I need to ask you some questions. And I need you to give me a sincere answer.

That wouldn't be a problem Leon. You can ask me anything and I promise to give you a sincere answer, she said.

Okay. Do you believe that magic exist in Muskvile? Leon asked her looking straight into her eyes as he waits for her to answer.

Yes Leon. There is no Muskvile without magic. Magic is everything that holds the core existence of Muskvile. These are the words my father always say to me, she replied.

I don't mean words from your father, I meant does real magic exist here on Muskvile, like we read on fairy tales or fantasy books. I am talking about magic and spells and other worlds. I wish you understood where I am dragging at Damia.

Leon! Yes! I understand. Muskvile is full of magic and it exist everyday. It had become our way of life. Is anything the matter Leon? You sound agitated. She said with a calming voice.

He suddenly realised that he is getting a bit worked up with the issue and decides to calm himself. Now all he need is a proof, something to rely on to make him believe more that magic exist in Muskvile.

Show me! He said Damia.

Show you what? Damia asked

Show me that magic exist. I need to see it with my two eyes Damia, Leon demand.

Okay. If you say so. Pointing to the book on the floor, she cast a spell...

ASCENUS EPECRO SELVINSA

But she was surprise to see that nothing happened. Leon didn't know what she wanted the book to do, so he couldn't help but to ask.

What did you intend the book to do? Leon asked Damia.

It was suppose to put itself back in the shelve. Damia replied excitingly.

You gots to be kidding me! Then why didn't it obey? You are not playing pranks on me right?

Not at all Leon! And why would I play a prank on you? It is a common spell, and I wonder why it's not working. Maybe the cabin is shield from magic. Let's go outside.

Damia picks the book and went outside the cabin with Leon following closely behind her. She throws the book on the floor and cast a different spell from the first one she casted inside the study.

The book responded, it lifted itself up following the direction to where Damia was pointing her finger. Leon was excited and believed that everything he was told at the basement is true. He held Damia hand and led her back to the study and took the purple journal showed it to her.

Damia please can you see and read what is on the pages of this purple journal. It belongs to my grandfather and it's completely blank with hidden writings. He flip the pages slowly, hoping she could read it.

I am sorry Leon. I can't even see the purple journal you are holding, talk more of reading it. Oh my magical Muskvile! It then means that your grandfather, must have had a Precursors design the purple journal, specifically for your inheritance. It is only you Leon, that can read whatever is written in the journal. It can only take a high level sorcerer to break the spell but with your assistance. I am sorry Leon.

He picks up the golden pen and showed it to her and still yet she can't see the golden pen either or even feel it.

Leon went on and narrated everything to her, and why he must decipher what was written in the journal so that he can find the bracelet - 'The Seal of Fire."

Leon decided to try and write with the golden pen on the journal to see what will happen. He came to realize that the pen had no ink in it.

He got tired and enquires from Damia if she had any fast and reliable suggestions or solutions.

Damia advised that Qilexon had a reason for making the journal in the first place. He didn't want it getting into the wrong hands. And who ever that we are able to find in Muskvile, to help you decipher the journal will also end up reading its content.

Leon had never been frustrated like this in his entire life for a very long time. He held the pen and was contemplating whether he should refill it with ink, but didn't see an ink bottle anywhere in the study. He dismantled the pen and saw that the ink chamber was actually a very tiny bottle. He took the hand lens on the table, to see clearly the content inside the tiny bottle. To his surprise it was a tiny person with a blue coloured skin. Leon wished that Damia could see what he is seeing. The tiny person in the bottle responded, he disappeared from the bottle and appeared sitting on the table in front of Leon and Damia.

Your wish is granted Master Leon! Damia can now see me! You still have two more wishes, he said.

Both Leon and Damia were suprised. Leon asked him _ Who are you?

I am the Djinni in the golden pen, and my name is Yekrua. Ask me anything, and it shall be revealed to you, master Leon.
