CHAPTER 6
My mind that was thinking about my past from the other world got disrupted when a little bird suddenly landed on my head, which I'm glad, at least it didn't land a shit on me.
I've been sitting on the bench for a while now, the sun still hasn't risen yet, maybe I calculated the time wrong. A smile showed up on my face when I realized that I can still rest for more or explore for a while.
I choose the latter. I decided to stand up from the bench under the tree and went towards the woods. It's only beside the mansion we're now living in. I've never been inside the woods for over four months that I've been here. I've never had the chance to since I have to make sure that we'll live for about a year and eight months. The only source of food and money the original Arabella and the male lead Blaine have, was their fresh crops that everyone in the town was always waiting for.
Arabella does love planting and because of her knowledge about planting and passion, her vegetables and fruits always get sold out the moment she steps into the town to sell it. But, when Blaine got taken by the knights of the Vresea estate, her crops didn't taste and never had the same freshness it had when Blaine was still with her. Turns out, Blaine was blessed by fairies the moment he was born. Her mother was half fairy and human. Three fairies bestowed him a gift, the gift of blessed hands, the protection spell, and happiness forever. Arabella quickly lost all the money she got from the Vresea estate because of being addicted to gambling. She got drowned in debt and went towards the capital to get money from Blaine and also to ask a position in the Vresea estate.
I sigh when I recall the novel I created from the past. I felt like I'm the worst writer for making their lives complicated in a novel. Maybe if I didn't get inside this novel and possess 'Arabella Maguire's body, I won't feel guilty like this.
My steps towards inside the woods, makes the withered leaves make a rustling sound. All the birds in these woods look like they are all awake, and also that one bird, that's still not leaving my head until now.
"You know little tweety bird, you should get down from there." From my words, the bird just made a little movement and just remained settled on my head. I just let out a sigh and kept on walking inside the woods. Although the sun hasn't risen yet, the moonlight is enough for me to see the way.
"Oh, you hear that little bird?" I stopped walking to make sure and confirm what I heard. That's it! Water! Hearing the gentle and pleasant sound of water, as it moves along the river, makes me excited and fasten my pace.
My little adoptive son Blaine kept on asking me for the past four weeks to join him to go to the river inside the woods. Although I wanted to, I can't. Since I had to keep on working and working inside the mansion and take care of the animals here and yeah the crops as well. Blaine being the male lead in this story makes me feel at ease to let him go deep into the woods and swim in the river since the male lead in this novel won't die. I should worry about myself because if I'm not careful I will die. A side character like me who's not that significant to the story can die anytime and in any way.
My eyes sparkled the moment I saw the river.
"It's beautiful," I muttered as I roam my eyes around the river. Its sparkling water gets me excited and it seems like the river is alive and it's telling me to come over and enjoy myself.
"I should've listened to Blaine when he told me about this majestic river." I was about to continue walking when I felt the sudden movement of the bird that's on my head.
The little bird on my head suddenly flew away towards the big tree near the river.
"Looks like this bird doesn't like water anyway let's go Arabella and freshen up ourselves." A strong wind pass by as I walk, and it did stop me from walking since it felt nice to my skin and I took a deep breath as a smile spread across my lips. What a paradise!
The summer wind feels terrible in the day time, but now the wind feels so refreshing and very gentle on my skin. My feet quickly continued walking towards the river. When my feet felt the cold water, I bent down and took off my shoes and threw it behind me, my hands went towards to my pants and pulled it down. My eyes were still looking at the seductive water of the river while I'm still undressing. When the only garment I'm wearing was my underwear and have already my hair, I quickly fasten my pace to go to the deeper part of the river and sink myself.
Cold, refreshing, and gentle. I never thought I'll ever feel this kind of relaxation in this world. In my past life, the only time I get relaxed is when I sing a song in my room every night, and also when I'm inside the shower. Now, I feel like laughing when I remembered how I poured my heart out when I sing lullabies and nursery rhymes. Most people would pick a sad song to lift their hearts and express what's in their hearts from feeling a certain agony and anxiety that they were suffering from, but I feel like singing nursery rhymes when I feel the emptiness and darkness that had completely surrounded me, for thirty years.
After ten seconds underwater, I lifted my head and inhaled a lot of air. My hands wipe the little droplets of water on my face. My head felt light because my hair doesn't feel heavy anymore. My hair is so long, it already reached my thighs. In this empire, hair is the most important part of a woman in society. The longer it is, the higher is your position/status, it describes your social standing. The female commoners are forced to cut their hair to shoulder length because they don't have the right to grow their hair long. If they violated that, they will get their head shaved in front of many people. I scrunched up my face when getting bald pass through my mind.
"How stupid of me, to create such custom"
When I felt cold, I realized that I got no bra on, since I made this place braless, women here only use a white cloth to use as a bra here. From my past life, my chest was flat as a chopping board. Whenever I see women wearing bras, I get so irritated, because I only wear nipple tape, and bras are useless to me. But, now I regretted not making bras in this novel. The side character villain Arabella Maguire/me is a gifted woman. When I saw her body in a full-length mirror, I got seduced. Her voluptuous body that was hiding beneath her thick dress will get all men in this empire wild. With her tempting body, big chest, including her gorgeous face. If I didn't get into her body, I'll probably think that she's the female lead here or maybe a fairy.
With the gentle flowing sound of the water, the moonlight shining down on the sparkling river, the quiet morning night gave me the urge to open my mouth.

My mouth automatically closes without finishing the song when I felt a chill down my spine. My body is completely exposed above water and the wind pass by my naked body, made me plunge underwater, and make myself warm after being exposed on the cold windy night summer.
I swam a few laps when I felt something touch my foot. My eyes grew wide and my heart skips a beat when I realized something. Deep in the woods, there are tons of predators living in it, it can or it can't be poisonous. But-
"They all bite! Shit!" I cursed loudly. There's a high possibility that it can be a snake or any poisonous predators, and I don't want to get bitten!
I quickly swam towards the place where I left my clothes and shoes. The moment I got out of the water, the little droplets of water on my face, hindered my sight. Because I was in a hurry to get out of the water, I failed to sense and see that someone a few meters away, was looking at me. My body felt cold, but I pay no heed to it. I want to get away from this river as fast as I can.
"Ugh! I shouldn't have done this! My son is probably awake by now." I said as I put on my pants without even minding that my underwear is wet. I bend a little and wore my worn out and wet shoes.
"I probably should buy cheap shoes when we arrived in town later. Hmm... wait, do I even have money?"
My legs walk away from the river, while my mind is focused on what we will eat later and where can I find the money that the former Arabella hid.
"Do I have to shower again? I don't smell that..." I grab my upper clothes and smelled it. I scrunched up my face when a terrible smell invades my nose.
"yeah, I smell bad. Tch. Did I make a washing machine in this novel?"

When the woman's departing figure was completely gone a man emerged from the back of the big tree and roamed his eyes around the place.
"Leo."
"Yes, master?"
A man from the shadows answered.
"North border." Two words from the man, made Leo shiver. He composed himself before answering.
"The crown prince already permitted the reinforcement you asked for, your majesty. The north border is already stable thanks to your-"
"Permitted huh? Did he think that he saved us because HE PERMITTED the reinforcement we asked?"
"...."
Leo didn't say any word and let his master talk again.
"Kill all those people he sent for that REINFORCEMENT."
Leo's eyes grew wide when he heard his master's words. He was about to open his mouth to ask, when the man in front of him suddenly undressed and walk towards the river.
"She sang a beautiful song. Countryside women are really different from the women in the capital. If she was born in the capital she'll definitely be concubine ten for their beloved crown prince."
After saying those words, he quickly dived into the deep part of the river. Leo was left there dumbfounded. His master arrived here earlier than him, so he doesn't know what he was talking about. Even if his master can't see him, he bowed and left in a blink of an eye. Leo sighs and thought about something, the only thing he's just sure now, that there will be bloodshed...soon.
