CHAPTER 7

The moment my foot touches the ground, all eyes focused on me. Although I'm just a low ranked noble, my face and body still influence the masses opinion about me. My face and body scream youthful elegance and sophisticated beauty, even though my dress and shoes are all out of date. Although this is great and I feel confident in this body I occupied, still, I'm not used to it. This will be a hindrance to me soon, once I parted ways with Blaine.

I quickly smiled when I saw the middle-aged woman waving her hand at me. My right hand gently patted the horse I rented and let it walked where the woman's stall is. At the back of this horse is where the cart is, the horse pulled it while walking. I'm glad I was able to find this cart and horse to rent for this day.

"Good morning Madam Jules. Ahh, the more I see you, the younger you get, it must be because of the fresh vegetables I sell." I said with my eyes twinkling.

"hahaha this girl really. You don't have to lie to flatter me; I'll still buy your vegetables without those words." Madam Jules shakes her head while looking at me.

"Eh? But I'm telling the truth, you got rosy cheeks and beautiful hair and you look healthier than the last time I saw you. Are you using coconut oil for your hair?" I asked because I'm purely curious since I need to know where to buy a coconut to make oil for my hair, my hair looks like shit now.

The more I praise Madam Jules' appearance the redder her cheeks get, I wasn't doing this to get her to buy most of my products, but since it came to this, I'll push through.

It was already noon when our products got sold out, this time Blaine and I will be able to eat in one of the restaurants here in town. My eyes twinkled when I saw the expensive restaurant of "Amour Midi" which means 'love noon' or 'noon love'. It seems like a place for lovers to have a date, but it wasn't for lovers. This restaurant's name was just made out of whim, I just randomly use google translate to make this name.

"Let's go eat Blaine, order all you want, mommy got you." After saying that, Blaine frowned.

The wind is slightly cold that's why even though we've been selling vegetables under the sun for a long time, we didn't break any sweat. We quickly let the horse stayed in front of an inn and paid the owner who will guard the horse and the cart for us.

When we're about to walk inside the restaurant, a man quickly uses his body to block the door.

"Eh? Why? Is it already full?" I asked.

"No, this restaurant is exclusively for nobles. Find another restaurant for commoners and eat there." The young man said rudely while examining my clothes with his eyes. I saw malice in his eyes for a second when his eyes landed on my chest but quickly turned into a disappointment when he saw Blaine beside me.

"I'm-" I was about to talk when a group of women was exiting the restaurant with their blinding jewelry and colorful dresses.

The woman who's leading the women out of the restaurant made me flinch, why her of all people? The moment our eyes met, she smiled beautifully as if she found a toy.

"Oh, if it isn't Baroness Maguire, are you about to enter this EXPENSIVE restaurant?" I wanted to roll my eyes when she emphasizes the word 'EXPENSIVE'; she's a natural noble brat even though she's older than me.

I thought I suddenly got a headache when I saw the face of the sister of my ex-fiancé. Is it too late to switch to another restaurant?

"Yes. It's been a while now Viscountess." I put on a smile on my lips while facing these noblewomen. Although I'm worried, I made sure that it's not showing on my face, also it won't be good for Blaine to be caught up in this kind of situation. These people will surely bring up his origin.

My reply was disrupted when a woman beside the Viscountess, who's fanning herself while looking at me with malevolent eyes suddenly, talked.

"I heard you don't have a husband, Baroness, will you be able to bring anyone? If not, that's..shameless." after saying those words, her belittling gaze found its way on Blaine.

When I heard her poisonous words focused on Blaine, I tilted my head and looked at her with a smiling face and a chilling gaze. The woman flinched, all of them looked so awkward now, and they fan themselves nervously.

"What is this, an unrehearsed shaming troupe? This is funny, I thought you're all better than this? I really got my hopes up, but you're all nothing but little girls who are nervously shaming someone, how disappointing." I said with a grin, this is obviously a child's play to me. I've encountered tons of people in the past shaming me like this, even worse than this.

"I-I was just stating a fact." There, she even defends her stupidity. I really gave life to these fools in my novel?

Another woman was about to say something but they got shocked when someone unexpectedly talks.

"Only people who are not happy with themselves are mean to others."

My mouth wants to laugh, but I suppress it. My little Blaine is finally learning how to speak these words? Oh my God!

"Mother, let's go eat at home. The dishes you cook are better than these restaurants combined. Also, I won't be able to eat if I'm seeing these rainbow ducks talking here." Blaine said venomously before he dragged me away. All of them are shocked to the point where they weren't able to talk after Blaine's shocking words.

When we're already away from the crowd of rainbow ducks I laughed out loud, which made the passerby look at me weirdly.

"hahahahaha, that-that was so funny, I never thought I'll be able to laugh like this while I'm here." I was too focused on laughing that I was unable to see the sudden changes in Blaine's expression.

A bewildered kid with a sad smile, thinking about the words I just said.

"Anyway, let's just find another restaurant to eat. Also, we'll buy your clothes after." The words I said, it earned protests from Blaine.

Ahh...this kid is too stingy.

"But mother! You don't have to, just buy something necessary, I don't need new clothes." He said with a serious face.

"You can't stop me." With that, I smiled widely at him and grab his hand again and walk happily towards the other restaurant in town.

This time, no one blocked our path. The staff quickly lead us to an empty table and gave us their menu list. My mouth agape when I saw that cheesy dishes are included in their menu. I forgot that I made most of the restaurants in my novel use cheese in most of their dishes because in my past life I can't eat dairy products since I'm lactose intolerant. I made a novel where I can imagine eating cheese and other dairy products.

"Ahhh, I want to cry."

"eh? Madam?" the waiter asked because he saw my eyes are forming tears now.

"I'll order all the food that is included in this menu."

"eehhhh??" Blaine and the waiter quickly replied with shocked faces.

"Why? I'm hungry, don't worry I'll eat everything. Go now little waiter, I'll be waiting." Smiling from ear to ear, the waiter awkwardly bowed his head and went back to the kitchen.

"Mother, isn't that too much? We can't possibly eat all of those." Blaine said with a worried.

"Trust me, we can do this."

"Motheeer I..." Blaine just shook his head and smiled at me.

"Okay mother, let's do this!"

"That's my boy!"
