Walking shoes

After leaving the house, Ethan began to think of what to do to get rid of Ella. There was no way he could tell her to return back home, neither could he just take a stroll with her like it was nothing.

Tonight is the full moon, this is the best time for him to connect to a world stream, and if he doesn't do it today, the next time he might get the chance is next month or something.

"What is he going to do?!" Ethan thought, as he kept on trying to rack his brain for a solution.

Bingo!

He thought of something.

" Ella, I forgot something in the house, could you go back to bring it for me?" This was the best he could think of, the moment she left, he would run into the forest and begin to connect with the world stream.

" Certainly, what is the item?" Ella said with a smile.

Oh no! He didn't think that far. What was he going to tell her?

" Umm...my...walking... sneakers?" Ethan just said whatever bullshit that came out of his mouth.

" Walking sneakers?" Ella looked confused by Ethan's words. Who the hell would have a specific shoe for walking, what about the shoe he's putting on now, wasn't he using it to walk?

" Yes, my walking sneakers. I have a different kind of shoe specifically for an evening walk or run. So could you please go help me get it, it's under my bed," The strange smile on Ethan's face quickly put a few question marks on her head, what the hell is wrong with this guy.

" Alright, wait for me here, I'll go get it," Then she turned around and began heading towards the house.

"Yes!" Ethan said, as he silently praised himself for how well he handled the situation. [A/N: (+_+)]

" Ethan hurry!" Amon's voice rang out in his ears, making him to stop praising himself, and start running towards the forest.

After entering into the forest, Ethan saw a small hill about two miles away, and lucky enough, there was an Oak tree on the hill.

" Yes! What luck. And it's even deep enough so when Ella comes out of the house and begins to look for me here, she shouldn't be able to spot me,"

Ethan ran quickly past the trees and animals that were in the forest, ( A/N: There are no wild animals in this forest.)

A few minutes later, Ethan arrived at the base of the hill with heavy breaths.

" Ethan go already," Amon said, seeing that Ethan had stopped.

" Calm down dude, I just ran two miles! And also, I'm still a human remember. And not even one of the strong ones at that," Ethan said, as he took in a deep breath and exhaled.

" Yet,"

"What?"

" Yet. You're not one of the strong ones yet, but you will be in a few minutes," Amon said, even though he couldn't see it, he had a feeling that Amon was smiling at the moment.

After one minute, Ethan began climbing up the hill.

" Ah!" Ethan exclaimed, as he laid down.

" What the hell are you doing, you haven't even gotten up to half of the hill," Amon said, as he came out of Ethan's mind and had a strange look on his face while staring at Ethan.

" But it's a really big hill," Ethan said with an exhausted exppression.

" What the hell are you talking about, it's not even up to five hundred feet, and a regular hill is a thousand feet high,"

" So what do you want me to do then?" Ethan said as he looked at Amon.

" I want you to stop winning and get your ass up that hill!" Amon said in a roaring voice.

" Fine!" Ethan grunted, and began moving up the hill.

" Oh universe, what kind of host did you give me," Amon lamented.

Twenty minutes later.

" Finally, I thought it would never end," Ethan remarked, after he had finally gotten to the top of the hill.

" Finally gotten to the top of the hill I see. Thought you'd take forever," Amon said in a mocking tone that made Ethan's eyes twitch repeatedly.

" So what do I do now?" Since they've finally gotten to the top of the hill, what's next?

" We begin," Amon's mocking exppression suddenly became serious in under a second.

" How?"

Amon then smiled at Ethan," How do they begin to cultivate in one of those your novels?"

" Umm...they sit crossed legged and begin to sense the energy in the air," Ethan said, as he remeninced about his first cultivation novel, " Peerless Martial god,"

" That's right," Amon said, still smiling at Ethan.

Immediately, a shocked exppression washed up on Ethan's face," Is that what I'm going to be doing? Sitting cross legged and sense the energy in the air?"

" Yes! Seems you're not as daft as I thought," Amon said mockingly.

" I hate you," Ethan said plainly, seeing Amon's mocking exppression.

" Whatever. But you won't be sensing the enrgy in the air, you would be sensing the moonlight,"

Hearing those words, Ethan sat under the Oak tree, and went into a lotus position ( cross legged)

" Now Ethan, close your eyes and focus on my voice," Amon's voice suddenly became soft and calm. Like the still water in a lake.

Closing his eyes, Ethan perched up his ears, so as to be able to listen to Amon properly.

" Feel the light of the moon dripping on your body, sense the flow of the wind brushing against your face,"

" I feel it. Now what?"

" Connect with it Ethan. Connect,"

... Back in Ethan's house.

Ella was busy looking for Ethan's ' walking shoes under the bed, but after checking for a whole ten minutes and not finding them, she began checking all around the room.

" Where could he have kept them, I thought he said they were under his bed?"

As she kept on searching for it, she went towards his wardrobe and opened it.

Rows and rows of different clothes lined up Ethan's wardrobe, but no shoe was found.

As she was about to close the wardrobe, she suddenly saw something sparkle.

As she looked closer, she realized it was some kind of strange rock with mini star-like things in it. It was Ethan's moon rocks.

" What is this?"
