Once upon a moonlight princess

After school, Jay fetched her 5 minutes before the school ends and he waited in front of the classroom made her look like a 6 years old kid.

On the first sighed, Kitana didn't expect it was Jay since he was wearing a casual blue shirt and blue-black jeans as he was looking at the scenery of the school from outside of Kitana's classroom.

School ended with a rang of the school bell at 1.15 pm sharp and as usual Kitana will wait for the other to go first before her. "Good evening, princess" Jay said to her as her bag was already in his hand.

"Good evening to you too, Jay" Kitana gave him a smile and look back on the phone, continued to chat with her sweet entertainer. Jay peeked on the phone screen and smiled.

15 minutes passed and students were no longer crowded the way to the senior block. "Serving the queen is very different than serving others" Jay looked down and sighed as he thought.

Kitana received a message from Edgar, told her to go home safe as the boys have to attend a basketball meeting and Jimmy went to the company 30 minutes before the school ends. Thus, Jay come and fetched her home.

[ At the mansion ]

"Jay..." Kitana walked on his side where Jay is busy reading a book in the library and Jay lift his head. Kitana hanged her head and don't know what to say. She mumbled her request yet Jay didn't quite get that and he asked her to repeat it back.

"Can you bring me to Angeline's castle... or to the Magical World?" she requested. Afraid Jay will refuse to bring her, she instantly denied what she said and leave the room. Jay thinks and teleported to the twilight castle to ask permission from Fang.

"It's very risky to bring her here. Are you sure you can protect her?" Fang anxiously asked Jay, who stood in front of him as he begged for his permission.

"Please... father," He begged. It is not like Fang didn't allow Angeline's friends to come yet danger in Shadowland mostly unpredicted and lots of monsters lurking in the shadows.

"Alright, I allowed yet if anything happened to her you have to speak for yourself to Blossom" Fang sighed. Jay smiled and thanked Fang for permission as he hugged his tail.

Happy to hear the news, Jay went beside Kitana who's busy sketching and said hello to the princess. Kitana shocked with his presence and accidentally extended the sketching line of her perfect cherry blossom tree art.

"Gosh, It took forever to finish it" She grunted and Jay apologized as he didn't do it on purpose.

"I talked to Fang and he said I could bring you there" Jay happily said and Kitana gave her a bright smile.

"Really?" She squeaked in happiness.

Jay snapped his finger and in a blink of eyes, he teleported themselves in front of the moonlit garden where Angeline brought them to that place once.

[ Moonlit garden ]

Kitana curtsied to the roses and the roses opened a way for her to walk through. "Why we must bow before entering this garden?" She curiously asked.

Jay looked up to the sky and think. "It's started when the first queen and I planted these roses together." He told her. Kitana gasped as she realized how old Jay is. "Same as the Queen, they must be treated like royalty" He whispered.

She kept asking so many questions until they arrived in the middle of the garden and they sat on the bench. "How old are you actually?" She asked him and look at him in the eyes, trying to get the actual information.

"I'm actually younger than you," Jay smiled and Kitana's jaw as if fall into the ground. < No way > She thought. "I was created by Fang to guard the queen wherever they go since Fang couldn't enter the Fantasyland. But I think I actually died more than 40 times..." He guessed and the facts about him hardly processed by her brain.

"Then why are you still alive?" Kitana freaked out. The guy who had died more than 40 times could healthily sit in front of her as if nothing bad happens.

Jay promised the first queen to always stand by "her" side when she gave birth to a cute daughter, a month after her husband died, killed by the merciless prince at that time.

Until then his endless loyalty will bring him to life once again when a maiden is ready enough to rule a lonely kingdom.

"You mean... If the throne was passed down to the first daughter of the Queen's family... Is that mean, aunt Katherine was a queen before?" Kitana asked. Just like a little kid, very curious about a topic.

Jay nodded and she gasped. "Did Angeline knew it?" She stands up and anxiously walked right to the left.

"No, she didn't. Because she never asked me" Jay simply replied and Kitana facepalmed.

"How can aunt Katherine become a Queen? Is Angeline's grandmother a Queen too?" Kitana asked Jay and he didn't have a choice than to tell her.

"Once upon a time..." Jay began.

There's a young princess of the starlight kingdom, who is barely heard by the people. She always with her mother as she's the only heir, who can take over her mother's throne.

She has an amazing sister, whose shines among the other with her radiant personalities.

She was kicked out of the Kingdom by his father, King Jeremy because she was accused by her older sister in killing her beloved mother.

Revenge and dissatisfied overwhelmed her. As years by, no one came to say sorry nor persuade her back to the castle yet only the calvary came to take her head ordered by her own father.

Little did her father know it was not her who killed her mother.

At the age of 17, she went out of Shadowland and step into the starlight Kingdom once again, on the day where her sister was declared being the true queen of the throne.

Night came and it's dark as usual. Katherine walked into the throne room and in the middle of the room and raise her hand to the sky as the design of the inner castle started to change little by little.

Where the painting of the glorious sun replace by the cruel moon when the time comes by.

Her older sister who meant to pass the room saw how unfamiliar the design really was and asked the royal soldier to warn the villager about the murderer.

Since then, the villagers will lock their windows and doors to prevent the nightmares from hunting them during the night time.

She refused to rise the moon. Thus, the sky is dark and cold without the moon and stars accompany the night.

One day, her older sister asked her to come to meet her in the throne room. She apologized to what she had done and hugged Katherine.

Katherine's tears fall and her rage faded. "After all this while... is this what I carved for?" She whispered as she hugged her sister tighter.

Yet... the happiness didn't last. Even for a minute.

Katherine was stabbed by the starlight dagger, the dagger of light.

Not even a piece of guilty showed in her sister's eyes.

Feeling the overwhelmed pain, Jay came out from her body in a form of the black dragon to protect her while Velna, meant to pass by saw it.

It is not long after Katherine lost her memory and power.

Little did they know, Jay vanished together with the power of hers.

"And that's what I know, The end" Jay told Kitana.

"You can change yourself into a dragon?" She gasped.

Simple as always, Jay nodded and Kitana continued to ask many questions.
