Drunker Stupor

~~~Cassie's POV~~~

I was scared beyond my wits when I saw the face of the man who bumped with me.

I stood there, rooted on the same spot, stiff as a stone; petrified by his looks.

"Cassie are you okay?"

It was only when I heard Aries talking to me did I got back to my senses. I shook my head to clear my thoughts before I flashed the other party a simpered smile.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

I mumbled as I casually took a sip from my glass. However, my eyes could not help but follow the man. I could still see his back from where I was standing.

Just like before, no one sees him the way I did. But what else should I expect anyway? It was not like everyone was experiencing hallucinations as I do.

I watched as his departing figure mixed in with the sea of people.

'I guess, they are coming back again.'

I thought to myself as I bit my lower lip.

I knew my normalcy would not last long. I was aware that at some point, these hallucinations that I have been having since I was a child would eventually haunt me again one day.

Yet I still could not shake the feeling of disappointment; because deep inside me, I still long to live a normal life like others. Free of worries and fear, and at one point, I thought I finally escaped the restraint and invisible shackles that my inexplicable past had brought to me.

Due to the fact that I was preoccupied with my own thoughts, I failed to hear what Aries had been trying to tell me.

I know he was trying to have a conversation with me, I saw his lips moved as though he was speaking but I could hardly hear a word from what he was saying.

"Come again?"

I said as I leaned closer to him with my good ear.

"I said they were, 2C-B drugs."

"Drugs???"

I repeated to check if I heard him correctly and it seemed that I got it right. He immediately covered my mouth to prevent me from speaking any further.

"SHHH!"

Aries was quick to shush me as he put a finger on his lips to tell me to keep my silence.

"It's basically ecstasy, acid, and horse tranquilizer."

The other party seemed enthusiastic as he introduced to me his item and I did not have the heart to tell him that I am not interested so I just nodded my head to let him know that my ears were on him.

But in all honesty, I knew nothing next to drugs other than the one I used to take for the sake of my sanity, which was pimavanserin.

That drug helped me big time to relieve my psychosis. Too bad, that they refused to see it over the counter.

I badly needed it right now.

Aries on the other hand just continued describing the effect of this said drug,

"You know it's like two lovers. One moment, it will whisper in your ear; all gentle and tender, and then, BOOM! Pounding you hard, just the way you like it."

Aries finished that off with a weird gesture of thrusting his lower part. Then he looked at me and waited for my reaction. But, of course, I did not give him any.

Don't get me wrong. I know what he was trying to say. I just pretended that I didn't get it.

I won't give him the satisfaction of seeing my reaction after he tried to sexualize me in a roundabout manner.

So I feigned ignorance and asked him to explain it to me.

"What? I don't get it."

"A lover pounding you hard..."

He deliberately spoke louder this time to make himself heard properly. He threw me an expectant look as if he was waiting for me to understand the meaning behind his words but I just sported a confused expression.

"The pill, Cassie."

He said flatly and then added with a palpable salacious undertone.

"Do you want to feel like you are being nailed by a very trippy horse?"

My answer came short and quick,

"No"

"Really?"

He asked me back. At this point, disinterest was clearly written on my face.

"I think you are making a huge mistake."

He told me. But I am not in the mood anymore to entertain his stealthy display of lewdness so I no longer paid him any heed.

But then out of the blue, I saw my best friend at the corner of my eyes. We actually came here together but Ana insisted on hanging out with other guys so I was left to fend for myself.

I didn't mind though. Not until I saw her acting like anaconda coiling her arms around her target. Ana was almost sitting on the man's lap!

Aries must have probably noticed that my attention was on something else so he followed my gaze.

When he finally saw where I am looking, he let out an exasperated sigh and commented,

"I thought he was in Thailand."

He probably thought that I was interested in that guy whose lap happened to be where my best friend was currently sitting at.

"So you know that guy?"

I asked him.

"Dave Wilson. The bloke is such a pussy hound."

He insinuated as though he was trying to warn me out of goodwill. Then he looked back at the groups of girls as well as the said pussy hound.

"It kills me to say it, but that is sensational hair."

The other party said more to himself this time.

"I'm going to go for a cigarette."

I told him to excuse myself and before he could even give me a response, I already left.
