Ain't booty call

Aries was in the middle of eating his late-night snack when all of a sudden, a loud banging sound broke the peaceful silence of his night. As startled as he was, Aries still looked for the source of the sound and he soon found out that it was actually coming from the door.

"Hold up! I am coming"

He called off as he made his way towards the entrance with hurried steps but just as when he was about to answer the door, another series of pounding issued. The guy almost jumped to his feet when he saw how the other party was ramming hard against his door. At the same time, he also could not help but wonder who could be so daring to come and see him in the middle of the night, with such intensity at that.

"Just who could that be? I can't recall inviting someone in for a drink tonight."

He thought to himself as he came to check who was on the other side of his door. But when he finally opened the door, he was both surprised and delighted to see that it was no other than Cassie.

"Hey???"

Aries insinuated with a lopsided grin. Cassie, on the other hand, was still panting heavily when Aries opened the door for her.

"Sorry, I just ran all the way over here."

She said as soon as she saw Aries looking at her with a mix of amusement and bewilderment in his eyes.

"Are those your pajamas?"

The guy asked a bit surprised when it dawned to him what the other party was actually wearing. Then he gave Cassie a once over. When he saw that she was wearing nothing but her socks, another surge of inexplicable feeling came to him.

"You did not even put your shoes on."

He muttered under his breath.

"Well, I wa---"

Cassie wanted to explain herself. Yet before she could even say a word, Aries already stopped her by placing a hand over her lips.

"Shhhh..."

He hushed her softly before he whispered,

"It is totally fine. I get it"

He added while nodding his head slowly as if he already understood what was going on. But when Cassie heard his next words, her knees almost buckled.

"I know how it feels to be totally consumed by lust and desire. I mean, who needs shoes? In fact, who needs feet, at all?!"

"No, I a-----"

Yet again, before Cassie could even say anything, Aries hushed her once again.

"Shh... We have waited a long, long time for this."

Aries said with a very dramatic drawl and then he looked straight at Cassie's eyes,

"I just want to say that you will not be disappointed."

He added afterward, but then after giving it some thoughts, he soon contradicted his own words.

"You might be the first few times. But I ass----"

This time, it was Cassie who cut him off. Before Aries could even finish what he was saying, she already put a stop to the other party's wild fantasies

"I locked myself out."

She said with her face and voice devoid of any emotion. She knew well enough the direction where Aries was pointing and they definitely have different things in mind.

So before the guy could even misunderstand her unsolicited visit that night, way more than how it already was, she already made herself clear.

Meanwhile, Cassie's words was as good as pouring a cold bucket of water over Aries's head.

He was stupefied at first as he was caught off guard by the girl's answer and to be honest, that was the last thing he expected to hear from the other party.

"I just need somewhere to crash."

Cassie added making her intentions known and she made it pretty clear for all ears to hear as well.

"No shoes, that is a green light."

Aries insinuated. But it was more like those words were addressed to himself more than to Cassie.

From the way he sounded, it was if he was only trying to talk to his own, convincing himself that he did not exactly jumped on conclusion with unfounded basis.

"Are you saying that this is not a booty call?"

He felt the need to ask Cassie just to confirm, in case his mind was only messed up and with an affirmative attitude, Cassie answered,

"No. Certainly not."

When Aries heard the conviction on the edge of Cassie's tone, he almost wished for the floor to open up and swallowed him whole. He was utterly embarrassed when reality hit him hard.

But at the same time, he also did not want his real emotion to show on his face, so he forced a smile out from his lips and pretended like it was nothing and he was cool about it.

"Come on in."

He invited Cassie inside his place and gestured to her to follow him and before he closed the door shut behind him, he whispered,

"Fvcking unbelievable. False alarm."
