157 A huge change!

Yunyang spoke "It seems like most of teachers have been cheating and using the backdoor to get in. We'll do a little cleansing today." Teachers started doing the tests but failed spectacularly. Cross and Long Chen's turn came and they passed with full marks once again. It was the same test as before, plus a bone age test.

Yuanyuan said "Daddy! Yuanyuan wants to try!" Cross smiled and passed her the long spear, Yuanyuan picked it up and shook before lifting it over head head and cheering. Cross was startled and took the spear away, the entire room was silent in shock.

Yuanyuan whispered "Daddy, did Yuanyuan do something bad?" Cross laughed and said "Not at all! Yuanyuan is the best! Stronger than these uncles!" Yuanyuan hugged Cross' head with a sweet smile and Cross stepped back in line next to Long Chen, who teased Yuanyuan with a smile, making her giggle.

Her giggles brought everyone back to reality and there was an uproar, did that 3 year old child just lift the spear?! What the fuck!

Half the Teachers got arrested and the rest were grieving. A 3 year-old was better than them! How embarrassing was that?! Yunyang chuckled and gave a name plate and a set of clothes to the Teachers, including Cross and Long Chen.

Cross frowned at the clothes and Long Chen said "Master Yunyang, is it possible to keep these clothes?" before Yunyang could reply, some Teacher called Mingze shouted "So bold?! You were just promoted to teacher and you make such a presumptuous request!?" Cross roared "Shut up, clown!"

Mingze choked back his words in shock, everybody was startled and Cross sneered "Did he say 'shithead'? No, he wasn't talking to you. Sit down like a good dog and shut your mouth before I shut it for you, capiche?" everybody's eyes widened and Cross held Yuanyuan saying softly "Don't cry, baby. It's just a mad dog, don't pay attention to it." Yuanyuan silently shed scared tears in Cross' arms.

Everybody's eyes turned red and glared at Mingze, thy started whispering "What a piece of shit." "Who scared a little girl?" "I'm not attending his classes anymore, even if you beat me to death I won't go!" Mingze's face turned green and Cross ignored him, coaxing Yuanyuan into smiling.

Long Chen took his nameplate, dripped a drop of blood on it and threw it at Mingze saying "If I don't kill you in three moves, I'll kill myself." Mingze caught the name plate in a daze, in doing so he agreed to the Life and Death Battle unknowingly!

Mingze jumped in shock and said "You! I!" Long Chen sneered "What? You've picked up all the nameplate. Do you want to go back on it? If you want to repent, according to the rules of the temple, you can only get out of the temple. It's up to you to fight or scram!"

The disciples were shocked! This happens very rarely! I'm afraid they've never seen a teacher fight!

Yunyang said "Long Chen, a matter like this must be approved by the president, thus, Teacher Mingze has the right to refuse. Plus Life and Death battles are only when the conflict is irreconcilable." Cross took the name plate and said "So many rules, is this fun? You can't kill someone without offending their ancestors? Fuck me!"

Cross turned to Mingze and said "Listen to me, you clown. If you make my daughter cry again, even the headmaster won't be able to save you! Even if I have to chase you across the entire Immortal World I will do it!" his killing intent exploded out of his body and an intensely cold wind flew through the entire building, everyone felt like they were standing on a Realm of corpses!

On top of the corpses was a man drinking from a cup make of someone's skull!

The disciples were terrified and Mingze was even worse! He saw a king covered in blood sitting on a throne of skulls staring at him, he collapsed and pissed himself in fear. Cross snorted and the illusion shattered, returning everything to normal.

Yunyang looked at Cross, who glared at Mingze ready to kill him any second. He felt a bit of a headache, this guy he didn't let the slightest transgression go. Of course not, Cross' Dao-Heart would shatter if he took humiliation without lashing out. Yunyang didn't know that multiple people died because they looked at Cross' wife with a lustful gaze for less than a second.

It was estimated that Yunyang would get a migraine if he knew that.

Cross looked at the robes and frowned as he held them out saying "White isn't my color..." he shook the robes and they morphed into a cloak with black fur around the collar and blood red on the rest, with the symbol for 'Teacher' on the back.

He smirked and spun it around his body, draping it over his shoulders. The disciples were stunned and Yunyang rubbed his forehead. Long Chen looked at Yunyang with a smile and said "I refuse to change my robes, I'll just go back to the Alchemy hall then. Thank you."

His words stunned everyone, they were getting numb for the emotional turmoil today. Yunyang sighed and said "This is an iron clad rule, but rules are dead and people are alive. I'll give you a chance. There's an 'Elite Group', it had gathered Elites from all over the world. But their performance is unsatisfactory. There's 36 elites in this group, bring 10 of them into the Shinto list and you can keep your style..."

Yunyang paused and looked at Cross saying "You can help him or make your own class." Cross said without hesitation "I'll help." Yunyang nodded and said "Then the quota will go up to 20." Long Chen said "This doesn't seem to be an easy job."

Yunyang said "You have to show sincerity or else this would be a joke." Long Chen said "How old are they, what are their talents, accomplishments?" Yunyang smiled and said "They were recruited last year, they're very young, their talents are above average, and they're in the late stage Mortal Shedding Realm"

Long Chen had a funny look on his face and said "You're giving me a bunch of pigs?" Yunyang laughed and said "They're just lazy, small, and have a bad temper. Actually they are gilding, next month they would be done and leave. In most people's eyes these kids are a bunch of wastes. If you two can do it, I'll help you apply for more privileges. Our Temple appreciates talents, with talent rules are nothing."

Long Chen and Cross grinned, but their grins were cruel.

A while later

Cross was sitting in the house, him and Long Chen got. Long Chen went out and Cross didn't go with him, instead he stayed back and drank, thinking of what to do with these elite wastes. He was also thinking about his cultivation. Even his Void Step was being suppressed by the Immortal World Laws, he adapted to the Immortal Qi but he felt like his existence was being denied by the Laws themselves.

It made him very angry, he actually couldn't wait to rip the sky apart with his bare hands and destroy the heavens themselves. They aren't a living being, who the fuck do they think they are to suppress this King!?

Cross meditated on his body and sank into his star spaces, they were endless and everything inside was different shades of black. The sun, the sky, the clouds, the ground, everything. He felt every inch of his body and realized the changes he underwent so long ago. He was truly completely different. All his acupoints shined with a black light and slowly rotated, his Mortal Qi was gone completely but the immortal Qi was taking a long time to replenish, as if his body was devouring it constantly, using it for something.

He decided to test it and started absorbing immortal Qi. A massive influx of Qi flooded into him as all his acupoints started rotating at a high speed, sucking in the Immortal Qi hungrily without end, but it disappeared like a drop of water in a lake.

Cross felt something was happening to him but he couldn't figure it out. If Long Chen was here, he would be stunned, Cross just blew through all the Cultivation Realms below Netherpassage Realm!

Cross found himself in the underworld. He looked around and saw he was in a giant room. He looked forward and saw a woman, he walked over and said "Huh? I met Lucifer before, who are you?" the woman said simply "Ming Cangyue." Cross stood next to her throne and looked around saying "Nice Throne room you have here, but it's it a bit too depressing? Do you just sit here all day and do nothing?"

Ming Cangyue felt her eyes twitch as she said "What do you know?!" Cross shrugged and said "Nothing about the Underworld and to tell you the truth, I don't even know why I'm here. I was absorbing Immortal Qi and then boom I'm here." he sniffed and looked around saying "Aiyo! You both smell like Long Chen!"

Ming Cangyue and a woman, who popped into the room, both said "You know Long Chen?!" Cross nodded and said "He's my good friend. I was actually supposed to go do something with him but I showed up here." he shrugged with a helpless expression.

The woman who just showed up grabbed Cross' shoulders and shook him saying "Did he speak of us?" Cross shook his head and replied honestly "No, but he hasn't talked about anything. When even someone mentions anything about lovers a sad look appears in his eyes."

The woman and Ming Cangyue teared up and Cross rubbed his nose saying "I assume you're both his wives or lovers?" they both nodded and Cross said "I can send a message if you like." he paused and said "You might want to hurry up, I can feel that I'm about to leave."

The woman quickly wrote down a letter and threw it in a ring Ming Cangyue gave her, there was a bunch of stuff in it. Cross took the ring and it disappeared into a crack as he smiled saying "I'm Cross. Hopefully we can meet somewhere that's not the underworld... Also your Throne room isn't very inviting, maybe get some couches?" before spitting out his tongue and chuckling as he disappeared.

Ming Cangyue sighed and the woman said happily "He has a friend!" Ming Cangyue said "They're like the same person, they're definitely causing a ruckus there." The woman waved and said "So? Who cares, at least he isn't lonely." Ming Cangyue sighed and shook her head.

Cross returned to his body and continued absorbing Immortal energy, a crown appeared around his head before shattering and scattering into a tall and golden half crown that covered the right side of his head. The crown sank into his body and the Divine Void Dragon roared, the black ring on his back started turning as Cross felt his insides before scooped out and replaced.

Every single inch of his body was 'scooped out' and replaced and Cross felt a fire forming in his star spaces but he also smelled heavy lightning and extreme danger. He suppressed his breakthrough and stopped the fires from lighting, it was too fast and he felt that he would destroy the entire sect if he broke through here.

Coincidentally, the suppressed seed cracked in half and formed 2 separate seeds before turning to ashes and merging into a black seed. Cross was stunned at this development and the Divine Void Dragon's eyes flashed, a pillar of blackest black light fell on Cross from the sky.

It looked as though someone had cut a line in the sky and ripped a piece out, it was extremely unnatural and unsettling to look at. The pillar appeared for a brief moment before disappearing into Cross' body.

A rumble resounded from his body and the Divine Void Dragon sparkled before all it's scales became as black as the pillar, along with the tattoos on Cross' body. Cross was in a daze as he chanted in a language even he didn't understand.

Cross' body light up black and a cultivation method appeared in his mind! Cross closed his eyes and circulated his energy as instructed, his tattoos lit up and dimmed. He stopped circulating the technique and opened his eyes, his black pupils became even darker and swirled violently while his red irises glowed blood red and swirled in the opposite direction.

He moved his body and an eruption of cracking sounds came out, he smiled happily. He had direction, all he had to do was follow the cultivation method for now. There seemed to be something special about it though, before he could think any further, Long Chen walked in.

Cross smiled and said "Handsome?" Long Chen sneered and gave him the finger, Cross burst out laughing and threw him a ring. Long Chen caught it and looked confused before his eyes widened and said "You! You!" Cross smirked and said narcissistically "Tell me how amazing I am! Go on! Tell me! I won't blush!"

Long Chen opened his mouth and couldn't speak for a while, in the end he hugged Cross and said very sincerely "Thank you." Cross smiled and patted his back saying "Is there a need for thanks between us?" Long Chen pulled back and laughed "Definitely not! Hahhaa!" he got a little cheeky and said "What do you think of Sister-in-law, Big bro?"

Cross rubbed his nose and smirked "Not too bad! When he pass the test, I'll bring your sisters-in-law out to join the school. As well as your nieces and nephew." Long Chen shook his head and smiled saying "You're crazy, so many kids." Cross just grinned and Long Chen chuckled as he disappeared.

Cross sat down and mediated on his Void Step, intent on improving it to it's former glory! It had been suppressed by 10x! Naturally, this wouldn't do! He would get it back and go even further beyond!
