CHAPTER 9

　　Fiarra

　　The tiny cold droplets of water poured over me from the dark clouded sky, as I stood in the middle of a stranded road, waiting for Onyx to come back to me.

　　Maybe I was wrong but my intentions were right. I knew that I was playing with the fire when I left the pack in search of my mate in this human world but I was burnt when he did not accept me as his mate.

　　He did not reject me either but there is nothing else to say about the mate bond. Did the goddess curse me for not following my mother’s path? Or I am boycotted because I chose to be a warrior instead of a breeder?

　　As I stood in the rain, drenched completely from head to toe, my senses woke up. I have to go back to the place I rented to stay here. As soon as I entered, I threw myself in the arms of my disgrace. I turned the shower too hot to break down the freezing nerves from my body.

　　I wasn’t feeling hungry so I skipped the dinner. I have lost my appetite already.
